I haven't tried all of my hair gloss decants from the Lupercalia update yet, but I can already tell that this one is my favorite.

 

This smells like the same poppy from Sugar, Poppy Tar, and Red Currant, which I adore. The black honey adds some sweetness, but it plays a supporting role and doesn't declare dominion over all like Nocturne Alchemy's black honey note does. While I have trouble smelling some hair glosses in wet hair, I could smell this one in both wet and dry and did not have to apply a ton of it to smell it, but even though it is strong, it's not so strong that it engulfs you in the scent, and I didn't get hit with a cloud of it in the shower before washing it out, either.

 

This is opium poppy perfection and I absolutely need a bottle.

Initially this is cough syrup, but it resolves to a honey and thrummy, glossy black opium, like my beloved Opium Poppy where you can practically feel the tar and silky petals. Just glossier. More perfume. Then it goes back to cough syrup occasionally. I don’t dislike it, but it seems better worn with scents with a clove note. 
 

Edit:with aging the cough syrup thing has resolved

This black honey note is really good, and shockingly not too overpowering at all, it kind of stays in a supporting role for once. And the opium poppy brings a little sophistication to the scent, which is nice. I was worried this might be too similar to honey and summer herbs but the vibe is totally different. Might have to get a bottle.

I'm not too familiar with opium notes and have no prior experience with hair gloss, but this is absolutely beautiful sprayed on either skin or hair. It's a smokey something or other that is just slightly sweet. I love it. It's sweeter in my hair than on my skin but more subtle in my hair. I wish I had a better way to describe it but sweet and smokey is all I've got.
