wilhelmscream Report post Posted March 23 In the bottle, I smell paper with peony shyly peeking out from behind it. On the skin, that paper note really POPS! But it smells like paper made of peonies. The longer it sits, the more the peonies begin to conquer the paper. The black amber begins to warm up beneath that. It's not a sweet amber. Crisp, fresh, tidy. Simple but not impersonal. I've sent my RSVP.
roseus Report post Posted April 12 (edited) Mostly paper in the bottle with a touch of sweet peony and black amber. The black amber has that polished, lacquered vibe to it (not that it smells like lacquer!). Wet the peony takes center stage. Pink, airy, sweet. Always makes me think of spun sugar. The amber grounds the sweetness, and it gets a little deeper as it settles. The paper is just a flutter, adding a bit of texture. LavenderCoffee Report post Posted 17 hours ago My first impression of this was sexy paper, and later “a perfect peony scented envelope” and I’m not sure I have much to add to that. It’s an unsweet amber, and the peony throws a good bit. almost feels too fancy for me even though it's quite simple and sniffable!
