BPAL Madness!

Recommended Posts

You would measure time the measureless and the immeasurable.

You would adjust your conduct and even direct the course of your spirit according to hours and seasons.

Of time you would make a stream upon whose bank you would sit and watch its flowing.

Yet the timeless in you is aware of life’s timelessness,

And knows that yesterday is but today’s memory and tomorrow is today’s dream.

And that that which sings and contemplates in you is still dwelling within the bounds of that first moment which scattered the stars into space. Who among you does not feel that his power to love is boundless?

And yet who does not feel that very love, though boundless, encompassed within the centre of his being, and moving not from love thought to love thought, nor from love deeds to other love deeds?

And is not time even as love is, undivided and paceless?

But if in your thought you must measure time into seasons, let each season encircle all the other seasons,

And let today embrace the past with remembrance and the future with longing.

Let each season encircle all the other seasons: ambergris accord, frankincense smoke, orris root, angelica, bergamot, and white tea.

Simply lovely. The orris root and ambergris accord mark this as close cousin to Lace Lichen, and if you like that scent this will evoke very similar feelings of brightness and lightness in the open. Largely tea and bergamot to start, with an aromatic greenness from the angelica. After a half hour the frankincense begins to emerge as a soft wisp, increasing in dominance as the top notes recede but never becoming terribly strong. The orris root stays subtle and not very powdery at all.

This is a delicate, romantic scent, not cloying but charmingly feminine, perfect for times or places where a lighter scent touch is desired or appropriate. I would call this very safe for work or enclosed spaces 15 minutes after application as it stays close to skin in the drydown and thereafter. Lasts with appreciable detection for about 4-5 hours.

Most definitely one of my favorites from The Prophet series that I have tried thus far, appropriate for almost any season or circumstance.
