BPAL Madness!

Recommended Posts

Regal grace and bittersweet beauty, this is a scent woven from wildflowers and court secrets. A verdant morning, sun-drenched and dew-laden, amber-glowing petals hide the tender unrest of violets and myrrh. The perfume of hidden sorrows, the ache of longing, and the weight of duty: white pear, hawthorn, damask rose, ambergris accord, golden amber, white leather, bruised violets, soft myrrh, spring wildflowers, and crushed green grass.

Wet on skin, it's grassy pear, but quickly the other notes start to show up. I'm getting a flowy pear-ish floral, and a slightly green blend with a regal base (yes the amber is golden!). I can make out the amber and just enough of a hint of leather so that it doesn't overtake the lucious pear floral. Of course it's perfectly evoking the painting which always blows my mind (I love that the paintings are being included in these forum reviews now). If you can imagine how the painting should smell (and your skin cooperates) you know how this smells! This is a really pretty and huffable fruity-floral blend that will be perfect for spring and summer.
