Little Bird Report post Posted January 1 I wore this yesterday without checking the notes and thought "tart and tangy raspberry jam, a spritz of Bath & Body Works raspberry perfume, a little shortbread, and powdered sugar mixed with honey." I guess it's the wine & fig giving off the fruity raspberry impression, and the honey dust & icing giving off a rich, dry sweetness. It's a very thick, tart, sweet, unique gourmand that doesn't smell like full on cake and edible. More powdery and dry than I tend to love, but I like this blend. Grownup, powdery gourmand. doomsday_disco Report post Posted January 16 Honey dust and fig aren't notes that typically work on me, but I wanted to try this because I love the art and the first two listed notes. This is mostly about the fig and dessert wine on me. The honey dust is thankfully subtle in this one, probably because the fig and wine are so loud. It takes several hours before the cake note shows up on me, but like Little Bird said, it is a dry cake. If fig and wine are your jam, you will probably end up liking this one. Alas, I wish it were less fruity and more cake-y.
splendidissima Report post Posted September 2 I'm re-organizing my bottle collection, and doing some reviews I missed! This one is so, so interesting - it's like a...sweet-earthy-dry-wine? I actually quite like it; I might wish it were a tad more sweet, but it's really tasty in a...not super desserty way? I get earthy purple-ish fig, some rich sweet-ish (like a port or sherry) wine, and a grounding of cake, but not super-sweet cake, more like a very English Victoria sponge, which of course makes sense! I really don't get honey at all. I think I like but don't love it; still, I'm glad I tried it!
