suslee Report post Posted August 2, 2024 (edited) I sprayed 3 spritzes from my decant into my hand. Wet, it smelled quite herbally. It's a medicinal leaning strawberry (I think of grasses), but the amber balances out the potential soapiness of it. I probably won't get a full bottle, but I'll definitely finish my HG decant Edit: this is strong hehe I smell this in my hair 2 days later despite shampooing all my hair today (I only shampoo'd my scalp yesterday) Edited August 3, 2024 by suslee update about scent's longevity
topazphoenix Report post Posted August 3, 2024 (edited) I really love this one. It's the same fresh realistic strawberry of the older Strawberry Moons, with some powder and warmth from the amber. It's an amazing duo, and my one of my favorites from the recent batches of hair gloss. 5/5 Edited August 3, 2024 by topazphoenix
Poenari Report post Posted August 21, 2024 I only got a decant and tested this on my arm first, as strawberry (and cherry) tends to work poorly with my skin chemistry. I hoped the amber would temper that trend. This is so pretty at first, but quickly turned on my skin. It becomes urinal cake in my nose, and I just can't. I didn't scrub it off, as I hoped that was just a phase. Sadly, it was not. I guess they can't all be winners on me.
doomsday_disco Report post Posted August 5 I have worn this in my hair many times and have applied it to both wet hair and dry, and today I'm finally reviewing it after deathmatching it with Les Fraises (with a side by side paper towel spritz test -- I do not currently have both strawberry glosses in my hair ). This is really lovely. I had already known that wild strawberries tend to be sweeter than the strawberries most of us are used to, and I could tell when I received my Les Fraises HG decant that it was not quite as sweet as Wild Strawberries and Amber, but the paper towel test still managed to surprise me with just how much Wild Strawberries and Amber is sweeter than Les Fraises. The Wild Strawberries and Amber HG is waaaay sweeter than Les Fraises, like the tiny wild strawberries were super ripe and distilled into a hair gloss. I've never gotten the amber from it in my hair, and I previously wasn't able to detect it on a paper towel test, but now that I have Les Fraises beside it, I am able to isolate the amber -- it's dry and there's just a touch of it in the background. The strawberry has decent throw and hangs around in my hair throughout the day, too. I'm happy I grabbed a decant of this when it was available and will keep it (along with Les Fraises and Party Tricks) to pair with strawberry scents during the summer.
