doomsday_disco Report post Posted June 20, 2024 When these great princes do not appear immediately on the foregoing Citations, or if they hesitate in their obedience, then take frankincense and myrrh, and cast them upon burning coals, and when the smoke arises, place the spirit-seal thereon… Ink-scratched parchment suffused with the smoke of Oman frankincense and Yemeni myrrh. Vexelite Report post Posted January 5 If you like ink and parchment, you'll probably like this! It's a realistic old parchment and ink scent with dry incense swirling around. Reminds me of Scholar's Tower without wood and amber (which is a bit richer and sweeter because of the amber). The Sixth and Seventh Books of Moses is on the dryer side. I'm happy the parchment and ink are the main notes and the frankincense and myrrh are more on the background, but present.
patina Report post Posted Saturday at 06:13 PM I love myrrh. Also I’ve tried a lot of book scents and they tend to vanish pretty quickly or generally be underwhelming as scents. I get a lot of ink here, though it’s hard to distinguish from myrrh. I want to say this is industrial, except it doesn’t smell as artificial as something like Smokestack or even Streets of Detroit . I do get parchment too. This gives me the image of someone tossing parchment into a field of smoldering incense. I love it but it does smell unsettlingly like, well, a strongly worded letter of condemnation from someone Biblical.
