Bassmastadroog Report post Posted March 7, 2024 (edited) This is exactly what I was hoping for!! Exotic, romantic, almost the scent memory of a breathless flirtation. Very high end ‘red’ perfume smell, or just high end material smell grounded by warm mahogany. Sweet round lotus, just nestled into red sweet cream. Ever so slight leather giving a sexy edge, but if you were to tell me it was a leather perfume and I didn’t know the notes I wouldn’t think it. Red sandalwood doing its sexy incense thing. High throw. So good. Bombshell scent for sure. Edited March 7, 2024 by Bassmastadroog
theseagrows Report post Posted December 4, 2024 hmm this opens with the honey cream and sandalwood i think. it's creamy and warm with a touch of red silk i think. for some reason some honey notes from BPAL are kind of maple-y like immortelle and it's definitely happening here. after a minute or two i get the lotus which adds a pretty floral element. for me, that maple note is just too strong and overwhelms everything. i think i had it happen with a 'honey dust' note in another scent. totally different from just a basic honey note. anyway, i get no leather here and it was not really what i was expecting. SmellsPrettyGood2Me Report post Posted 11 hours ago Big honey cream, the woodiness of the mahogany, and the crinkle of red silk are present in the initial wet sniff from the bottle. Upon application, the earthiness of the lotus root and a the smallest whiff of a lightly tanned leather emerge. The red sandalwood here reads like the "red" in red musk, but doesn't otherwise leave much of an impression. Moderate projection and a good 6+ hours of wear. My favorite parts of this scent are the red silk note (I bow once more to BPAL's fabric accords) and the mahogany. Unfortunately, the honey cream somewhat curdles on my skin and just doesn't hit right, giving "who has cheese in their pocket" vibes that refused to quit me.
