    Les Fleurs du Mal

Unfortuneately, I had to wash this off right away, as the scent was just too wrong on me, and I'm going out soon. Much too florally, I actually thought there was jasmine in this one. Rose is iffy, and lilac has never worked on me, so I'm not surprised.

    Hollyberry & Mistletoe

This is a very nice evergreen/sweet berry scent with a touch of spice thrown in. This is so Christmassy, it kind of reminds me of Midnight Mass with more evergreen and less incense. I love this, and will save this for the holidays next year. eta: This has gotten more candylike over the last hour or so, and while I don't like candy scents as a rule, the sharpness of the evergreen is balancing this out soooo nicely. If there were such a thing as evergreen/berry candies, this would be it. I can't stop sniffing my wrist and raving about this scent. Quite unique, and a fun Christmas scent all around.

    Tissue

Wet, I get a yummy honey rice scent with a touch of gardenia. Gardenia is not my fave note, plus I amp it, but I just had to at least try this oil that has such a pretty name! Yes, there goes that gardenia, huzzah! Man it just loves my skin and pretty much is having a party at my expense. To be objective, this is a delicate, pretty, dainty scent, but I'll most likely pass this imp off to someone who will appreciate it more than I do. The rice paper scent I really liked, but the gardenia pretty much shoved that out of the way. *sigh*

    Red Rose

Wet, this is very spicy, with mostly cloves. As it dries, the red rose pokes out a bit, maybe with a bit of musk thrown in? I really like this, it reminds me of one of my fave Lush perfumes, Potion. Surprisingly, I thought I'd like this one better than the White Rose, but while I like them both very much, the White wins out. While White Rose is a slather scent, Red Rose is definitely not. Only a dab'll do. I'll try layering the two later and report back. Right now I want to enjoy Red Rose on it's own for awhile. eta: It's been a few hours, and during that time, this blend has become more masculine. It really isn't like Potion to me now, and I probably won't wear this on it's own. Too perfumey/masculine. Off to try the two together. eta: The two roses together seem to balance each other out! The softness of the White Rose mingles so perfectly with the Red, and the qualities that I didn't like with both seem to have disappeared. The Roses do not have Rose as a dominant note, however, so if you're ordering for the Rose scent, you may be disappointed. The two together is a spicy, creamy blend, if any rose exists, it is the white peeking out more to me. I really haven't tried anything quite like it, perfection! Now do I order 1 set or 2?

    White Rose

I ordered decants of these, because rose is generally not my friend. Wet and for the first 15 or so minutes, this is a beautiful tea like vanilla with a touch of gentle floral rose, and maybe a teeny bit of spice thrown in. To me, it Dorian's younger, innocent sister, the same vanilla/tea scent, but definitely more femine. After 15 minutes, this blend has become a "close to the skin" scent, I thought it had disappeared, until I kept getting these wonderful whiffs again. Kind of like a perfume has become one with your skin, it just naturally makes you smell good, like it is your own scent, and not a perfume at all. Depending on how Red Rose goes on me, I'll probably spring for the set. I love White Rose, even if it is a slatherer to me. Maybe with age, it'll get stronger, but a definite win! eta: This is probably one of the few bpals that actually fades away, then gets stronger as the day goes on. Two hours later, and this is steadily getting stronger with the beautiful vanilla/tea note dominating. Truly a morpher, as half an hour ago, I got a lovely rose poking through. Not an awful sour rose, as most roses go on me, but a shy, white rose.

    Morphô

In the imp, this is very fresh, green, and springlike. On, the jasmine asserts itself, but as far as jasmine goes, it is not bad at all on me. I get the jasmine, and nothing else, however, I do love ginger, and I don't get that note at all. I'll probably just enjoy my imp.

    White Chocolate, Marshmallow, and Coconut

Wet, this is yummy, coconut with a bit of sweet creaminess that I'm guessing is the white chocolate. Dry, this is Midway Resurrected, spitting image to me. I'm not really a foody, and I have my MR, so I'll just enjoy the imp when I'm getting a craving for carnival food.

    Dark Chocolate and Pepper-Smoked Caramel

I'll start off by saying that I took a risk just even ordering an imp of this, caramel is always a note of death, and smoke is iffy as well. I do love pepper and chocolate, so it did intrigue me, and you never know what is going to amp on you. Wet, there is a delicious boozy note, did I mention that I love boozy? This fades within a few minutes and we're left with caramelly smoke, with a bit of chocolate thrown in. Not a nice smoke, not a nice caramel. My own fault, I should have known, glad it's just an imp. I'll pass this off to someone who will appreciate it more than I do.

    Epistrophia

Quite a perfumey scent, strong, I only have a sniffie bottle, and it is overwhelmingly floral. I could have sworn there was rose in here, but there isn't any listed. I like this after the initial perfumeyness wears off, and I enjoy the "ethereal" feel to this blend, but there are other ethereal blends to me that are better, (a couple of graveyard blends I really love). I'll pass on a bottle.

    Gennivre, L’Artiste du Diable

I love tea, lemongrass, mint and honey, so I thought this would be the perfect scent for me. Alas, it is not to be. There is something in here that is sharp and atringent, same note as in Privilege, or something like it that is just wrong on me somehow. After about twenty minutes, this disappears, and a lemon tea remains, but is very fleeting in itself and is gone in half an hour. Dorian or Embalming Fluid can fulfill my tea/lemon loves, and Gennivre is going into my swaps pile.

    Psyche

This is straight up soap to my nose. Not even a good, high end soap, but rather a very strong smelling generic one. On the plus side, I don't get any rose at all. Maybe frankinscence is a killer note for me? I love lavender, and maybe the combination is just not doing it. Oh well.

    Snow Angel

This is kind of a incensey, fruity blend to me. Must be the tea, as there is no incense listed in the notes. For peach, this is an 'OK' scent to me. I strongly dislike peach, so I'm a little surprised that this is wearable on me. It's a more "grown-up" peachy blend, if that makes any sense, not too sweet and it is nicely balanced with the tea (incense on me!). I'm glad to have tried this decant, but I will not be seeking out a bottle.

    Golden Priapus

This is a very nice evergreen blend, with a bit of warm vanilla peeking through. A little to masculine for me, but it's nice to see the pine not morphing into something foody (yes, pine does that to me!). Maybe the juniper is keeping it in check..This kind of reminds me of Christmas. n Aged, this is more vanilla with a touch of pine. No so masculine anymore. I tried my aged imp and was so surprised and smitten, that I hunted down an aged bottle. It is a more vanilla Snake Oil when aged.

    Defututa

I wonder if I got a mislabelled imp. I get none of the notes that are listed at all. To me, this is Monsterbait Bloody Mary all over again, or Candy or Pink Phoenix's cousin, or another fruit/candy-like blend. Not a candy fan, I always try them, to see if there is an exception to the rule. To me, this is very girly and pink with a sweet strawberry vibe, definitely not me. Mind you, when I sniff the imp wet, all I get is honey with a bit of fruity floral. I guess my skin is broke.

    Hanerot Halalu

This is so feminine and delicate. I get a true beeswax scent, quite sweet, but just beautiful. I don't really get any orange or smoke that some are smelling, just the lovely, creamy (from the olive oil?) calming scent. My mom used to keep bee's, and this reminds me of that, or those beeswax candles that you get in craft stores, only this smells better. It has great wear length, I've been exercising, and it is still going strong even after 4 hours.

    The Miller's Daughter

Gah, once again I cannot identify rose!! I thought the *ahem* smell was jasmine, which also doesn't get along with me. There is something "dusky", that I'm enjoying once in awhile, but it morphs fleetingly. The rose definitely dominates in this one, and alas, this is not for me.

    Arkham

This is probably something I would never buy, the notes are mostly deal breakers for me. However, I really do like this very much. I thought it was a lemony/musky blend, but perhaps it is the bergamot coming out. Whatever it is, I really like it, citrussy musky goodness. This is what I wanted Carnaval Diabolique to smell like. I honestly wouldn't have known there were florals in here if I hadn't read the description. This is a floral for those who florals don't usually work for. Very clean and fresh, and I'll probably enjoy this imp in the spring or summer.

    Delphi

This is a fruity, incensey blend to me. There is a sickly sweetness that I am not enjoying, and something that smells kind of dirty (?), not sure what this would be. I do smell some of what I'm thinking is the bay leaf, not liking this note either. Oh well.

    Peitho

I do not like this one. Jasmine rarely works on me, and this is no exception. The Stargazer Lily is not helping things. Bourbon and vanilla I love, but I detect none here. Oh well, can't love them all.

    Uncertain Horror

Well, this is just about a dead ringer of Lush's Icon perfume to me, which is a good thing as I like it quite a bit. I also get the Schwarzer Mond comparison mentioned a few posts back. Herbally, a tad medicinal, I get the patchouli, and a bit of sweetness. I'll sure enjoy the imp while it lasts, (probably more in the fall).

Goblin of Yuletide Yet To Come Atmospheric Spray

I just get a faint hint of clove and a teeny bit of resins. Maybe my sniffer is broken today? I've sprayed quite a few times, it smells great but hardly lasts.

Goblin of Yuletide Present Atmosphere Spray

Pretty much as other reviews, orange and spice. Clove I think. I love citrus and spice so this is a good thing!

Goblin of Yuletide Past Atmosphere Spray

I cannot wear snow notes, but I certainly love smelling them! This is a wonderful evergreen, a touch of foody (must be the cookies!), and snow of course! I'm surprised by how long it lasts, I may squirt it directly into a melting tart and see how that works.

    Yemaya

Whew, this one is definite FAIL, right from the get go. I guess anything with melon does not sit well with me. I think 51 has melon in it, and it was yuck too. This reminds me of a drink called Melonball, that I tried in the late 80's, so right away, it took me back to that time, which was kind of neat. I love honeydew, but do NOT want to smell like one.

    The Lion

Wet, I really didn't like this. Too intense and "perfumey" and the incense and spice were just a little too much. Once dry though, this is THE most glorious spiced amber, very warm and inviting. "Golden", is quite a good one word description of this. This is quite similar to Jacob's Ladder, but with more spice. However, this seems to fade quite quickly on me, whereas JL lasts all day. I'll probably spring for a bottle eventually when my beloved JL is done.
