    Sugar Cookie Snow White

This scent is SO interesting, and I always get lots of comments when I wear it. The sugar cookie part ended up being much 'darker' than I anticipated, and smells exactly like brown butter on the stove, or cookies fresh out of the oven. I don't get much of the snow white scent, as I have loved prior varieties of those and they typically have good throw on me. I will gladly use up what I have, especially in the autumn/winter.

    The Writing on the Slate

I am so geeked about this blend! First and foremost, it stuck around for quite a while on me, despite repeated hand washings. Usually my skin eats scents, so this is thrilling. It smells mainly of soft beeswax. There's a touch of vanilla that's very alluring. It's comforting and soft. The dust and chalk notes don't hang around, but they are definitely there when I opened the imp. It's just kind of stale and dry. (Not in a bad way, just a little more flat.) I didn't think that this blend would be so wearable, but once again Beth and the Lab have impressed me. Way to make something that smells like beeswax, dust, and chalk so beautiful and unique!

    Coraline Jones

I am so, so sad that I was only able to obtain 1/2 bottle of this! It ran out this morning, and I'm already missing it. What a perfect, happy, clean, peaceful, and beautiful perfume. When I put this on, I don't smell like I'm wearing perfume. I smell like I'm freshly bathed and sitting in a sunny garden, on a patch of fresh cut grass. It is hard to perceive the different notes, and as a result the effect is much more magical and cohesive than I would have expected from the description. A good blend for early mornings, the springtime, and playing with babies.

    Moon Rose

I love the idea of rose perfumes. I love the mysticism and softness and femininity. However, it's very rare I find one that works with my chemistry. My skin usually eats perfume, and rose seems to be the only exception - but it gives me a massive migraine. I received a sample of moon rose recently, and the first time I put it on, I dabbed gently. I smell the rose, but after a bit it fades to a pearly, silky white scent, almost sweet and a little powdery. (Not in a bad way. It smells expensive, feminine, and mysterious.) Now, upon smelling my wrist, I catch the faintest whiff of white floral. Moon Rose is a perfume I would turn to if I wanted to be powerful, sweet, and calming.

    Antony

I'm underwhelmed. The description already told me that it wasn't for me (I'm more of a super cloyingly sweet gal), but it smelled intriguing in the imp, so on it went. It's gold, classic, masculine, solid, and strong. It went on in a haze of green and gold, very strong on the ambergris and the sage. As it dries, the leather pops out. It fades to a muted, incense-like smell that reminds me of head shops. The leather is there too, but I'm typing this from a leather goods design studio, so that might just be the air in here. It would probably smell completely different and incredible on my husband, and I would try this on a man to be sure before it goes to swaps.

    Pickle Hair Gloss

Hmm.. I'm not sold. Something in this HG smells fake/plasticy/off. There is surely coconut there, but it's not the sweet and earthy kind I'm obsessed with. It's sharp and bright white. Maybe that's the tiare? Either way, it's not great on me and I'm going to have to ship Pickle off to swaps. It's a shame, the label and everything is seriously adorable.
  7. I would recommend How Doth the Little Crocodile.. it's a woodsy mint that mellows out. I also have tried Impenetrable Snowdrift and it's pretty amazing, although limited edition! Twinkle, Twinkle Little Bat is very tea-heavy but no mint notes. White Rabbit smells like black tea!

    I've never found a scent I liked!

Hi fellow Taurus! I am also in love with sweet and fruity smells. Off the top of my head, I would recommend: Dorian Antique Lace Tweedledee (Smells like Skittles or fruity candy) Eden (Sweet, coconutty, almondy.. mm) Alice (Sweet, but not cloying.. fresh, innocent, and creamy orange.) and if you're into the hair glosses (or willing to be), I just tried Wednesday hair gloss and it smells JUST LIKE S'MORES. It is incredible. I would highly recommend it! I never got into Eat Me, it smelled odd for some reason on my skin. Hopefully this helps, let me think a little and see if I can think of any more. Happy smelling!

    Wednesday Hair Gloss

This is so insanely incredibly that I can't begin to describe how much I love it. I spritzed it on the first day I received it, and was immediately enveloped in a creamy vanilla. There was a hint of chocolate behind it, and I only smell the buttery goodness of the graham crackers. All through the day I kept smelling chocolate chip cookies? Whenever I turned my head I melted into the softest, creamiest, most alluring scent. It was me! What a winner. I've already started snatching up all the bottles I can find. Thanks for the new addiction, BPAL!

Morning in the City of Angels

The notes in this seemed so unusual I had to try it. I was really hoping for a sweet, creamy, and floral blend, but it doesn't play out that way on my skin. Immediately, I get hit in the face with a ton of flowers. I agree with the above poster that it smells a lot like the Tulip candle from Yankee Candles. It's kind of smoky and incensey. I don't smell the sugar or vanilla at all. It lasts that way for a very long time, hours and hours, before changing. It starts to turn green and sharp first. The flowers smell springy and happy. This would be a beautiful springtime scent. After falling asleep wearing this, I woke up to the last stage of this perfume. It was sweet and incensey, barely there. I could absolutely smell the vanilla and just a hint of the flowers. Unfortunately, I got an incredible migraine from wearing this the first time. So far so good on the second wear, but I just barely dabbed. I can still smell it, which is crazy because my skin eats perfume like crazy. I think I will hold on to this, but it's not one of my favorites, and I don't see myself ever seeking out any more. Edit: Round two wearing it and I am just now getting the warning signs of a whopper of a migraine. Off to the swaps for you, Morning in the City of Angels!

    Eden

This is a perfect scent for when you want to smell good, but you don't want to be overwhelmed by perfume. It smells white and sweet and creamy. It smells soft and inviting. It feels like leaning in and getting a warm, needed hug. The fig isn't cloying or too sweet, it's balanced perfectly with the honey and milk scent. As it dries, it smells like a whiff of sandalwood and almond - almost breezy. This is the scent I wear when I'm cuddling my baby. It feels nurturing, warm, and safe. 10/10, I will buy a bottle of Eden whenever it pops up!

    Snowball Fight

This.. isn't what I expected at all. The first time I put it on, a got a roaring migraine, even though vanilla and mint scents don't usually bother me. I waited a week or two before trying it again, and today seems to be going much smoother. I don't smell "snow". It smells clean, it smells green - there is definitely spruce or fir, and maybe some white flowers in there somewhere. The vanilla comes out upon drydown, and it smells remarkably like the Christmas aisle at Joann Fabrics. I don't think I'll buy more, although I will use up what I have left in my imp.

    Daybreak

This is such an amazing blend. I don't know what I was expecting, but when I opened the bottle it was very different. There is a sharp, medicinal lavender at first and a whiff of something soft hiding in the back. It goes back and forth between being a straight, strong lavender and a whisp of vanilla. After a few hours on my skin, it is soft and beautiful. It smells like freshly washed sheets and sugar cookies with coconut on top... like vanilla lavender ice cream. It is so, so beautiful and it really exemplifies that innocence and peace of early morning. I will need to buy a big bottle! Or hopefully, a gallon!

    The Worst Pillow

I just got a bottle of this, and I am soooo happy I did! When I smelled it in the bottle, I was very underwhelmed. It smelled almost like stale coffee, cardboard, and a hint of something sweet. I dubiously applied it, and went to bed. The next morning when I woke up, I thought that my husband might have started a pot of coffee for us.. Something smelled so cozy and sweet! I kept getting whiffs of coffee, a hint of caramel, and as the day went on, vanilla. It is very long lasting, and as time goes on, it seems to morph into an almost cappuccino scent. Very delicious, and made me happy all day!! It will be my fall go-to scent for sure

    How Doth the Little Crocodile

MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM. Wow. This perfume is so magnificent. It is subtle and sweet, like clean skin in freshly washed clothes. On my skin, you can definitely smell the woodiness of the cedar and oakmoss, which keeps it from being too overwhelmingly sweet. It lasts all day and the scent stays true. I have gotten so many compliments from people while wearing this oil. Absolutely amazing, and would work with anyone who wants something unique, fun, and multi faceted!

    Moonshine and Mist

I received Moonshine and Mist recently, and was SURE that based on the description, this would be my new favorite.. not so much! There is nothing wrong with the scent, and it is beautiful, but it is sort of basic. It's a little bit perfumey (probably the white florals), and a little bit soapy. Smells very light and very much like it would work on anyone. A nice scent, but not nearly as special as I thought it would be.

    Defututa

Such a beautiful scent... At first sniff in the imp, a WHACK of olive blossom and honey, which is quickly dominated by this soft, incensy cinnamon. When wearing it, everything else except for jasmine, vanilla, and this cozy, intimate, incensy cinnamon. MmmmMMMMMM. It feels very adult, and very sexy. It's the post-coitus warmth, wrapped in your lover's arms. Just gorgeous, this one will ALWAYS be in my arsenal.

    The Hesperides

Please, pleasseee bring the Hesperides back! It is the most amazing apple scent ever. It's all fresh, red apples sitting in a woven basket in the forest. So fresh and cold you can almost see them when you're wearing it. So lovely!

    Lolita

*Sigh* I have had this imp of Lolita FOREVER, and it just doesn't get any love from me. I've tried it a few times but to me, it smells sort of bland. The lemon pops out, and that's pretty much what hangs around on me. I can smell some kind of white flowery note behind it, but it's not enough to make this interesting. I'm sorry, Lolita! I wanted to love you so much.

    Wanton

Hmm.. I'm insanely wary of this one. My skin hates patchouli and palmarosa, and I can get headaches from sandalwood. However, Beth is a master of her craft and sometimes surprises us with scents we think won't work. Nope. I wanted to like Wanton - what I thought would be a sultry, summer night perfume. However, on me it smells like stale bread and bad incense. Such a shame.

    Schrodinger's Cat

What a FUN blend! Immediately out of the bottle, it's sharp green - mint and lime. There's orange underneath, and a creamy sweetness. Definitely unlike any perfume out there, it constantly shifts and changes. After a few moments, it's clean and sweet (almost like fresh laundry hanging in the sun.) Love, love, LOVE Schrodinger's Cat!

    Against Idleness and Mischief

Oh, My. I don't know quite what I was expecting when I opened the imp, but this oil blows EVERYTHING out of the water. Against Idleness and Mischief smells like a sun-warmed field, flowers swaying gently in the warm breeze. You can smell the honey, but it's warmer and less cloying than most honey smells. It is fresh, and there is a hint of sunshine in there that smells like lemon rind. It is long lasting on me - I have gotten several compliments out of nowhere when I wear this blend. Often, long after I believed that the scent was gone people have mentioned it. There is a warmth and glow that stays with you when you wear it. Absolutely delightful!

    Paris

Ahh, Paris. When I read the description, I knew I HAD to have it. Of course, the lab hit it out of the park. This scent feels like refusing to get out of bed after a night with your lover, wrapped in clean and soft sheets. This scent feels like sitting across from a gorgeous man in a rooftop 5-star restaurant on a summer night. Sipping your outrageously priced champagne and watching the stars come up over the city as the wind blows. A sexy smirk and you twine your pearls around your finger. HOLY CRAP, HOW DO THEY DO IT? When the perfume is still wet, you can smell the spice right away. The lavender is there, but it's buried underneath a sweet, clean, WARM spice. After a few minutes, the lavender becomes the focal point. A clean and green scent that I'm guessing is the lotus is there too, balancing everything out. The spice fades down and becomes this delicious red note in an otherwise clean and slightly sweet perfume. There is a definite ozone scent (again, maybe the lotus) that smells JUST like summer night breezes to me. The drydown is also amazing, and it just barely clings to your skin - instead of smelling like you're wearing perfume, you smell like you washed with lavender soap and just a hint of it remains. Absolutely delicious and decadent!

    The Phantom Wooer

WOW! I got a Frimp of this in my last order and it smells wayyy different than I remember it being!!! This is more floral, lemony... the last one I remember pierced of sandalwood and gave me a migraine. However, it's still not a scent that I'm crazy about as I feel like I may still get a migraine from these notes... I'm going to give it a try and might use up the imp but I won't be buying a big bottle.

    Masquerade

Uggghhh! The second I open this it hits me like a ton of bricks - sour patchouli. Not the earthy, warm kind - the brittle, green, sour kind that smells a bit like rotting lemons. Straight to swaps, do not pass go - do not collect 200 dollars. So sad:(
