Salty, watery, lavender and lilac. The salt and lilac reminds me of Lavender, Sea Salt, and Rain, though the water is different from that one. Definitely more of an ocean water smell here. I really love BPAL's aquatics so I was super excited about this one. The florals are more herbal than flowery, the salt isn't overpowering, and everything is pretty well balanced by the water. This one also doesn't morph much. It stays for a while with good throw. I want a bottle of this one. Very much.

Honey, sandalwood, orris butter: very much what I notice at first when I apply it. Quite the pleasing combination. I'm in love already. Then after a little bit the vanilla cedar starts to peak through, and I love it even more! Getting some of that musk too but it's pretty gentle and more of a supporting role than a lead like the musk has been in some other Luper blends. Everything is balanced so well and I'm very much enamored with this perfume. I know I often like masculine and unisex scents but I greatly enjoy more feminine ones as well! The honey and floral fade as I wear it longer and the musk sticks around but is less... fuzzy, gets more soft. The woods and vanilla remain. I have already bought a bottle of this. xD

Honey and teak and a red brocade or silk. Those are the notes that really stand out to me at first upon application. After maybe fifteen minutes or so the amber and mosses become more noticeable to me, and yeah I think they're is maybe a hint of citrus that could be the polish perhaps. This is a fascinating scent and my third experience of BPAL's silk note, and I really like the silk note. The red aspect reminds me a bit of red musk, but it's definitely the silk note and not musk. I love this one very much and want a bottle. -
WhenI first apply it, I get creamy vanilla, sandalwood, and a bit of tobacco. Exactly what it says it should be. And I really love it, loved it at first sniff. It really is a hint of tobacco because I've smelled BPAL perfumes where it's more prominent and this really isn't that. I do enjoy how tobacco plays with sweeter notes like vanilla and cream. The sandalwood is that kind of creamy sandalwood you can sometimes get too, rather than very dry. I love that variation of sandalwood very much. It's in Veil too, from the GC collection. As it dries the tobacco comes out a bit more and the vanilla cream backs off a little. I don't get a floral I don't think but it could just be well blended in the mix. I knew I wanted a bottle of this upon first sniff and that hasn't changed. So glad I got a decant. I wonder too what this one will be like with a bit of aging.

2025 version. I have a decant. The musk and patchouli really stand out on me upon first application. There's a bit of honey, and what I'm presuming is the balsam, but mostly it's the dirty patchouli and East African musk. As it starts to dry the honey and balsam come out a bit more, and a touch of juniper and oakmoss. The musk started out so strong it nearly tingled my nose but now it's a bit softer, though still very forward. This feels a very masculine blend, yes, and not in my usually loved "gentleman's perfume" sort of way, but still very enjoyable to me. Once again I am liking my decant a lot more upon second application, and I may have to try for a bottle of this one too, though it is reoccurring and I could get it instead another year.

This one starts out almost sugary sweet. Then I smell the green plant and the floral. It's a pretty light scent but has maybe a medium throw. I'm not familiar with hibiscus so I couldn't tell you if that's the floral I'm smelling and I can't quite place the green either, but it's very pretty. Not sure if it's me but I do like it more than when I first tried it out. I like it, but not enough to get a bottle. Very nice though. I'll keep the decant.

I've tried one other Luper with a silk now, and though they both take different approaches to it (this one green, the other one charred) I think I have an idea of what it smells like now. And I really like it. This evokes the idea of sage with its "green silk" concept, smooth and shimmering. The whole thing manages to smell green without being quite like any green notes I've smelled from BPAL before, since that's mossy *velvet*, velvet carpet of wildflowers and ivy. There's a bit of a texture to the scent so it's not all smooth, with some elements almost bitter and a bit darker green. I wasn't too sure what I thought of this one during my first test, but I really love it now. I am gradually accumulating a massive amount of bottles that I want but this is hopefully going to be one of them.

This is quite amazing. I had a feeling this decant would grow on me with multiple tests, and now that it's been resting a week it's really appealing to me, and I liked it before! In the vial I really smell the fruits and vanilla bean. Wet on my skin it's sweet berries, sweet but dry red musk, and bitter tobacco absolute contrasting everything else. I'm not really picking out the vanilla bean anymore, and I'm not sure I smell much else but it's a pretty rich and layered scent with plenty of depth. I'm not often one for food scents but the berries in this one are making me reconsider that. :3 As it starts to dry I think I can pick out the florals, the labdanum and a bit of rose petals. Also I've read a bit on opoponax and it might be lensing itself to the burgundy musk & tobacco elements as a supporting character but not really standing out on its own. The vanilla bean might be that too. Wearing it for longer the bitter tobacco mellows out some though it's still around, the berries and florals tone down but it's still sweet, the red musk is still there but it's slightly less dry, it just becomes more blended. I love it at both stages. It has quite a bit of throw even still like this. I know this is reoccurring but I may have to get myself a bottle before this year's Lupers go away.

Upon first application on my skin I smell apple, red musk, maybe some vanilla peeking through although that could be the benzoin. A couple hours later that's still largely what I smell, there's maybe a bit more vanilla, and I think some of the amber is now discernable. I'm not getting any fig, which is a shame because I love BPAL's fig note, but it could be blending in with the apple. This is very nice and I think I love it, which is smore than I liked it during my first test. But seeing as it's a reoccurring scent and how I'm not quite super enamored with it I think I will pass on a bottle for now though I may pick one up another Luper.

This is so beautiful. Pretty early I can tell there's mint but it's not overly minty, not even close, which I was hoping for because I can find too much mint overpowering. There's gentle floral and s bit of cool aquatic. The eucalyptus is also pretty gentle. I can maybe pick out the sprice but once again it's not overpowering, just gentle and cool. It's really lovely. As it dries on my skin I think I can pick out the musk, and the ambergris is a bit more noticeable though it is doing a lot of support work. So is the musk. Blue musk is an interesting variation I've not smelled before. I fell in love with this at the first sniff and I definitely want a bottle before the Lupers go away.

This is a pretty light scent on me as well. The fig milk and watery floral are pale and delicate. Ambergris and white leather are present but not super forward. There is a hint of clove that I experience more as a warmth in my nose than much scent of clove, but it's there. Clove bud? I've found conflicting info on whether gum arabic or madder root have scents themselves, but if not those notes could be more conceptual. This certainly manages to smell a bit like a really old fashioned lipstick or cosmetic, and it's reddish in tone, or so I think. There's almost a waxy component to it, but it's soft and malleable wax. I like this one quite a bit more than when I first tried it, but I'm still not sure I want a bottle. I do have time to decide though! It's very pleasant and though it starts out light it stays a fair while.

The sandalwood and "charred silk" are quite prominent although there is a peppery scent too, though I'm not picking up much ambergris right away, but I've found it can blend in really well in some BPAL perfumes and makena great supporting character. Some of the elements I've determined as "silk" might actually be the ambergris, come to think. It is very woody and despite smoke it isn't very smoke-y although it does remind me of sandalwood incense. Charred silk is very pretty, it doesn't quite smell burned. This whole perfume is very pretty. I really love it and I loved it upon my first application too. The peppery and charred scents fade after some time, but there's still ambergris/silk/sandalwood. Maybe a bit of sandalwood smoke. It's still got a fair amount of throw by this point. I definitely want a bottle of this.

On first application it's florals and frankincense. Very frankincense forward. There's a little bit of cedar too, though with everything else it doesn't quite smell like cedar I'm familiar with. I'm not getting much else yet but that may come through as it morphs through drydown. A bit of honey does start showing itself pretty eraly, like, within a few minutes. I think I know why it's white honey but it is a golden white for sure. Sweet and beautiful. I love honey as a note. As it sits there's a bit of a musk coming through but it's still very frankincense dominant, and still with some lemon blossom although that's diminished. I think I may be getting some amber but it's hard for me to say. I really like this one even more than I did the first time I tried it. I might try to get a bottle of it, as I do love it now, although it's not quite as much love as I've got for a few others. But still might be worth it.

The musks are almost sweet, not quite syrupy, not quite fruity, there is a bit of a tingle in my nose but I don't smell mint. The tobacco is there beneath, bitter, cutting through the sweet musks. I'm not quite getting the ozone note but I've only smelled it in Lightning before so I could just be lacking enough familiarity in order to pick it out. After a couple hours the intensity of the musks scales back and the tingle in my nose is gone, but it's still fairly sweet and musky. It's really nice. I think I can make out the sandalwood now too. I like this one a lot more during this second test, and I may like it even more with further testing, but I'm still not sure I'll get a bottle of it. Very pleasing though. Glad I got a decant. -
In the vial it smells like an exact copy of the taste of these blue raspberry gummy candies I would get as a kid. On my skin it's even more so. Juicy, sweet, fruity, and somehow I can smell the blue. xD As I wear it longer the scent somewhat breaks down a bit, I can tell it's made out of other scents but I can't quite pick out what those are. It's still very much blue raspberry nut it's also something else. The components that make it are blended really well. It's a bit more like a sweet heart candy smell by this point, and less the gummy candy, the "wet" had faded. I'm not usually into food or candy scents, but I bought this decant on a whim and though I don't think I'll get a bottle I'm still really glad I tried it and I am going to try out more candy and food scents in the future.
