I'm not getting any of the dirt notes, and I usually avoid them. Also not getting any red wine, but it is definitely red. This comes across more fruity, maybe thin skinned red fruits crushed prior to fermentation. It's bright red and juicy. Slightly tannic and ripe, but not too sweet. Plums/pomegranates? No grapes. It does feel nuanced and complex. Maybe it could be a cheap wine, like the sweet red variety that goes well with a celebratory backyard BBQ. Or just because, to celebrate life. Not getting any creepy vampire vibes, but they could be there. Maybe hiding is the point.

Doughy and sweet. And maybe a hint of coconut. Almost plastic. The rice flour is lighter than normal dough but smells raw. Or maybe that's the ube? But it smells uncooked. I don't like this.

I think this is the cleanest patchouli I've ever smelled. It's green and fresh, and the hemp reminds me of Whole Foods. Earthy crunchy good-for-you smells. The drydown has more of a familiar darker patchouli but it's faint, not dank or anything remotely close to a pothead. Very enjoyable, once I let go of any expectations.

Not really one or the other, but it's earthy and grounded. Suprisingly, I don't get any patchouli, at all, even though I slathered on the sample. There could be vetiver, but not in the expected way. Instead, my nose is interpreting roses and dry grasses and fishy vetiver. It's potent. The vibe is formal, like someplace where you might find black silks and supple leather. I like it, but it's not for me. If this had a color, it'd be the color of hay bales and white clouds against a dark gray sky. -
I don't get the pumpkin or incense. It smells like fresh baked crusty bread and dead leaves. I like it, but it's nothing like what it's supposed to be.

I'm a little disappointed. I just get straight lavender and no patchouli or vanilla or sage. Maybe something's wrong with my skin?

Smells like bubbly champagne with slices of ripe peach. Very pretty. Glowy and pale, almost hay-like.

Snakes In The Berry Sonker is not too gourmand, which I appreciate. The ice cream and molasses don't really show up (which is fine by me). The snake oil is partially buried under the berries, which are more of a blend than specific fruits. But the sum adds up to more than the parts! There is a sweetness from the dark tannic berries and an air of sophistication from the SO musk. I think this will age well. It has the vibe of antique treasure hunting. I wish I could compare this to Serpent In The Berries, but I have not tried that.

What a beautiful, warm and resinous rose. Unfortunately, I'm not getting any blackcurrant. I think I prefer Knave of Snowflakes for the blackcurrant + rose combo. And maybe the white lace is causing the rose in this one to smell somewhat muted, compared to my other rose scents. I'm not able to pick out the white lace separately as it's own note. I'll be enjoying my sample, but won't be seeking more.

Cold, calm, and collected. I liked this much better than Zorya P, which was more floaty, floral, and fragile than Marble Wreath. Both are white, flat, and clean, but this is brighter and opaque. Sandalwood shows up late. Very classy. Does not offend. Almost a non-perfume. Could wear this anywhere.

Mostly orange marmalade with scones, a little spice, possible rhubarb, possible tea. I still like it, but it's not what I thought it would be.

Opens with a thick glossy patent leather, but quickly morphs into a warm, brown musky vanilla that smells nothing like Snake Oil, save perhaps a distant relative. The leather makes a few more appearances before the drydown, which smells a bit gourmand in comparison. It's slightly greasy like the deep fry oil note of a sufganiyot but sweet like caramel. I enjoyed the scent journey but won't need more than a sample.

Starts with a slick glossy patent leather that I did not enjoy, but it quickly warms into the sugared patchouli, which is much better. The clove keeps things interesting and unexpected.

Warm, creamy, and sticky sweet like caramel. The milk doesn't turn lactonic and there are goaty hints in the drydown. The honey is not noticeable. Delicious.

Deliciously dark, mildly sweet. Mellow cardamom with coffee and amber. I wish this would last longer on my skin but I still love it anyway. Like a cross between Miskatonic Univ and Morocco, but better than either one.
