    Bayou

WOOF I don't think this is my thing On me, this is so powdery and floral and weiiiirdddd! no wood no delicious moss, just straight up funeral home grandma. Which is great, but not the scent I was expecting, nor the scent I can see myself reaching for often. I am so so sad my skin chemistry bungled this one all up

    Marshmallow Candy Canes Hair Gloss

Initial blast: Minty! But not unpleasantly so. The Scent is delicious. I love how vanilla-y it becomes about 30-40 minutes into wearing it, then stays that perfect blend of mint-vanilla. We'll see how long this stays detectable, as I have high hopes! Just in case you've not used a hairgloss before: They're very lightweight but nourishing and detangling. Very cosmetically elegant, the blend of oils is perfect. Of course, everyone's hair is different, but I can't see this being anything but lovely for practically everyone. Edit: this is genuinely the nicest my hair has looked in years. I have been spending the last year trying to rescue my previously waist length hair after a bad dye job and lots of bleaching and I've spent probably upwards of $200 on it. Two days of using the hair glosses from bpal and my hair is silkier and shinier and softer and less tangled than it's ever been. I think I owe everyone on the bpal team a personal letter of gratitude....

    BTMEN

This was a frottle from the lab and when I came to the review page I was SHOCKED at how many people hate this!! On me, it's definitely powdery. A little floral, but something about it is almost astringent? It's no worse than say, seraphim or bayou to be completely honest. Not my most favourite treasured angel of a scent but definitely one I will still wear frequently. So surprised everyone else is a unanimous "NOPE". Maybe I just have wonk skin chemistry...

    New Year’s Kitty Tea Party

Oh yeah, this one is so incredibly foody. The berry aspect of it is lovely, and I can detect that kind of doughy note I love, just a bit. It's making my mouth water a bit with how realistic the jam note is?? Which has never happened in all of my history with perfume. I'm craving a jammy doughnut with some delicious sugary dusting and a flaky dough.

    Lick it, Valentine

Definitely one of the best lupers. It goes on a bit mint-heavy, but soon it settles itself into something sweeter and darker. I can really start to pick out red wine about an hour in, but it's not cloying or overpowering! The honey is barely detectable to me, which is good because honey and honeycomb can sometimes be a bit indolic on my skin. Overall a fantastic scent. Edit: had this one for a while now, and gotten a chance to get more familiar with it which is why I wanted to come back to re-review. Something about this perfume is just MAGICAL. Actually magical. It goes on with a nice sharp blast of mint and red wine but after a bit to dry it’s the most delicious, gentle, lusty scent ever. it does wear close to skin, but it’s so gorgeous I almost want a backup bottle. UGH!

    The Serpent in the Roses

Brb, buying SEVERAL backups of this one. To echo everyone else, this is the bpaliest bpal to ever bpal. I cannot stop sniffing myself. Sultry, sexy, dark and twisted. Something haunting lingers in the background of this one, like a lover that you'll never forget as long as you live. It's dark rose layered over top classic snake oil, and I can definitely detect the patchouli and musk and vanilla, but they're all blended so artfully that not a single one overpowers the other. I would say if you're a fan of the sultriness of snake oil but also infatuated with the dark rose from "London" this would be a big winner for you. Perfection.

    Cluster of Cherry Blossoms

SUCH a realistic flower scent. Smells exactly like a cherry blossom tree with little hints of something vaguely sultry? The honey does not overpower anything and it dries down smelling so clean without being at all soapy. Very florally feminine, I am going to bust this baby out frequently during spring. Normally my skin EATS these kinds of delicate flower scents but this one stays and it stays WELL! Love. update: for a floral this has INSANE throw holy shit. Insane throw and insane staying power

    Candy Apple Smut

First impression: Oh my god. This is delicious. I do get stroooonnngggg cinnamon as poenari states. Then, as it burns off a bit, it settles into something absolutely gorgeous and delicious that feels SO SO sexy. I definitely can detect the musk a bit, but it's smothered by a delicious sugary cinnamon. I'm sure the musk comes through a bit more the longer you wear it, so i'll update if it shifts again. Edit: holy shit this just gets stronger as the day goes by? It REEKS of bubblegum now. It's bubblegummy and so toothachingly sweet I almost want to wash it off. Cinnamony bubblegum. I've not tried the traditional smut, so I'm hoping that it gets more sultry and and less girly. Something about this screams jailbait and I can't put my finger on what. Edit THREE! mailshock is absolutely a thing. This smells AMAZING on my skin today which is so odd considering yesterday it made me gag everytime i sniffed my own wrist. Now it's perfect. LET YOUR OILS REST!!!!

    Black Ice

Wow. My bottle is almost ten-years aged, so my experience may be different than someone else's! This one is a morpher for suresies. In the bottle it's like a sinus-punch of vetiver. Wet, it retains that sinus punch, but there's something peeking through that feels slushy and dark. Then, on dry down, all the vetiver burns off and leaves behind something extremely cold and biting. Like going to the doctors office in november, with the knowledge that you definitely have to get blood work taken. You get your bloodwork done and when you walk outside its absolutely pouring rain. Just beautiful, I treasure this scent. ] Edit: After two hours of wear it's morphed into something so soft and clean smelling?? I LOVE it. Definitely still a bit "Cold" smelling (I presume this is going to be perfect for the slushy october-december months) but I was expecting it to go so haywire with how strong the vetiver was out the bottle. So far, my skin has completely eaten the vetiver, and left behind a beautiful, crisp clean scent.
