    Persephone

I love pomegranates. My grandaunt used to have a pomegranate tree in her yard (maybe she still does, I don't know), and when I was little, I used to go by when it bore fruit and steal them. I'm sure she would've given them to me if I'd asked, but there was something about the adventure of sneaking up, snatching one, and hiding it away to enjoy that made them that much more delicious. This perfume smells like my fingers did afterwards, stained with purple-pink juices, with a dash of rose, my favourite floral. This lived up to everything the name and the description suggested.

    The Rose

Looking for a replacement to my Peacock Queen, but while this is indeed a lovely, true rose scent, it's not the furiously in-bloom deep red of Peacock Queen. This is a much lighter rose--like a pink or yellow rose. It's in bloom, but not quite at the height of it yet, covered with dew. On the other hand, this is a great rose perfume for people who want rose, but not ROSE. It also smells goddamn fantastic on my daughter.

    Sherlock Holmes

I don't know what it is, but something in this smells very creamy and sweet to me. I swear, I keep thinking I catch a hint of vanilla. This is a beautifully subtle blend of tobacco and leather, two notes that my skin likes to amp up to the point of artificial blahness behaves perfectly here. This is everything I've ever wanted out of the concept of tobacco and leather. It's like lifting a beloved violin out of a worn leather case in a room where the scent of tobacco has soaked into the wallpaper from regular smoking. Not quite so pungent as someone lighting a cigarette next to you, just the suggestion of smoking in the air.

    The Peacock Queen

I have a very old version of Peacock Queen, and I remember how much I loved this when I first opened it and tried it on. It's an extremely confident scent, one that holds nothing back, a lush, velvety, dew-covered, blood red rose in all its glory. Then I set it aside for a while and didn't wear it much. Tried it again today, after what must've been five years or more, and it's aged into...nothing. I can't smell anything except the faintest, barest hint of rose. Not sure if this is a problem with every version, but it makes me very sad. I need at least one rose scent in my collection. Maybe I should try a more modern version of this scent, if I found one available.

Smells a bit like mouthwash for some reason? I keep catching mint in this, plus pine, plus the green colour of the oil, it honestly just reminds me of mouthwash.

I honestly have no idea what is wrong with me, but this smells like fanta to me. Like I spilled a bunch of fanta and didn't bother wiping it up, and woke up the next day to find an orangey, artificial, sugary sweet, sticky mess. As it dries, I'm getting more of the spiced, smoked woods I wanted, but every couple of minutes, I still get a big lungful of ORANGE FLAVOURED GUMMY BEARS. Yeah, I don't think this is for me.

    Ranger

Smells like I'm walking into a late autumn forest in the early morning, with a light fog, a howling wind, no snow yet but you can smell it in the air. Then I sit down and start grating some ginger. I'm shocked so few other people are mentioning the galangal, because it is strong for me, to where even the pine plays second fiddle. I'm honestly not sure how I feel about this. I could see myself liking this more when winter rolls around, because of all those childhood memories of ginger tea when it gets cold out.

    Dirty

When I first put this on, it is indeed a lovely, juicy green, like the juice squeezed from a handful of early spring leaves. But after literally 20 minutes, it has entirely disappeared. A lovely scent, but with almost no throw and zero lasting power. It's absolutely fantastic in an oil diffuser, though. Makes my whole room smell fresh and clean.

    Pure Applesauce

It's amazing how this can manage to smell like Granny Smith apple peel specifically. It's not a juicy apple for me at all, but a dry, tart, spiced apple, a little like you've left the peel of an apple out on the kitchen counter underneath sunlight and it's starting to brown and curl. To be honest, I was hoping for much more tobacco and tea out of this--that's what makes the scent interesting to me, but it's not like I have a good apple scent right now, so I'll definitely be keeping this one around. In summary, I think this is a good apple scent for people who aren't into foody scents, like me.

    Beholder Optician

This smells like a strawberry-flavoured sour candy. Very syrupy and sticky sweet. While not unpleasant, I don't really know when I would wear this. I'm not often in the mood to slather myself in strawberry jam. Still, crystalline is a good description indeed. There's definitely something in this that evokes a glistening candy shell.

    The Black Rider

The sweetness of the oppoponax is combining with the leather in a way that smells very honey-like and sweet. This would be a great leather scent to try out for people who hate leather scents, such as myself. Honestly, this is what a new, luxury car should smell like--dark and sophisticated.

    Maiden

The Lab's rose notes are one of my favourite things in the world, and the tea does such a great job to give it depth and sophistication. This is the scent of a beautiful young maiden standing just under the roof of a pavilion inside a flower garden, turning to give you an inviting look. I put some on my baby and kissed her cheek, surrounded in that halo of fresh, pure florals, and it is the happiest moment of my life so far.

    Lilium Inter Spinas

This is a very fluffy, pastel green floral to me--like a young girl in a green chiffon dress in a flowery field. It almost smells like the florals in this are just buds, not yet in bloom. I think it would make a great gift for my little sister. The fig really helps to prevent this from becoming too generic of a floral perfume. I like this a lot more than I thought I would. Pity, though, it doesn't seem to last at all. Two hours later, and it's gone completely.

    Anubis

Oh my lord, this is beautiful. I can't really pick out any notes, seeing as I don't know what anything in this smells like on its own, but combined together, it's such a gorgeous golden glowing incense scent. Really reminds me of the buddhist shrine we had in my village growing up. I didn't expect to love this so much at all. Wow, I will have to get a big bottle for sure.

    Le Serpent Qui Danse

I'm a huuuge fan of vanilla and hoped this would be a sugary, creamy violet, but I don't catch any vanilla notes in this at all. Instead, it smells confusingly wet and watery, like a big bouquet of violets drowning in the rain. I have no idea how water has a scent, but this oil is 90% water, with a very diluted hint of violet and nothing else.

    Tamora

Amber and vanilla is my favourite combination of notes, so I knew I had to try this one. And indeed, it's beautiful and golden and glowing from the amber and warm and rich with vanilla, with a floral swirl that keeps it from being too much or too sexy like O. Unfortunately, I can't figure out why, but this has no throw at all. I can only smell it by pressing my nose up right to it. Even wearing much, much more of it than I probably should, I still smell absolutely nothing.

    Jinbari Nyûdô Bobo Dokisu

This reminds me of the best blueberry smoothie I've ever had, or maybe blueberry bubble tea. It's definitely not overly sweet though--the berry flavour just comes through front and centre, strong but not overwhelming. It's heaven-sent for a blueberry-lover like me. I wish I'd had the foresight to grab more bottles of this. I want to wear it every day, and I fear running out one day

    Troll

You know how people use photoshop or instagram filters to make themselves prettier? This smells like someone did that to my hubby's body odour. I'm definitely getting a big bottle. It's delightful dark pines and smoke and a hint of spice. It honestly fits in perfect with the dark autumn rain outside.

    Young Corn

I definitely smell the corn husk in this--or rather, it smells like corn silk tea, with the slightest hint of something creamy that I'm catching now and again. For me, this is a very fresh, clean, light green spring scent. I honestly have no association with autumn with this one. I'm also not getting much soil, which I was looking forward to. Still, I am very much a fan of crisp, clean, green scents, so this will definitely see much use. EDIT: After a few hours, the cream note comes through stronger and stronger, and now this smells like a bowl of creamed corn. Yum.

    Incubus

I'm surprised by how much everyone else mentions caramel, because I don't smell it at all. I just get a minty-fresh cigarette out of this, which I do in fact like a lot. It's a scent that indeed evokes a handsome, deadly attractive man. I'd be more into this if hubby liked it more, but he thinks it smells like soap 😂

    Dragon's Milk

This smells like White Rabbit milk candy that I used to get as a kid, creamy but light, sweet but not too sweet. This is the first non-LE scent I decided to buy a big bottle of and I'm not disappointed. Only downside is that it gives me a ferocious craving for creamy candies.

    Czernobog

I put this in my oil diffuser and it made my room smell like spicy farts. 🤢 EDIT: Well, after a while, it settles into a much more bearable scent of black pepper with a woodsy foundation. Still, I can't say I like it.

    Harvest Moon Love Potion

Oh wow, I am in love with this one and I didn't even expect to be. This is a fall scent that isn't too heavy or rich or foody, which is my problem with most autumn scents. Instead, it smells exactly like a chill breeze blowing through a fall forest in late afternoon, crisp, cool, leafy, with a pop of apple and something nutty. It's gorgeous!

    O

Anything with honey in it really turns absolutely foul on my skin, but once I got an oil diffuser, this was one of my first picks for it, and oh my god. I agree with everyone here that this is a truly decadent, sensual, goshdarn amazing scent. It smells like running your hand down warm, flushed skin in a dark room. I swear, I could get drunk off the smell of this alone. I am definitely getting a big bottle of this for, ahem, special occasions.

    Phantasm

I personally think this smells like a sweet, juicy lemon drop on a fresh summer day. It's very faint, mind you, can't really catch a sniff of it unless I directly press my wrist against my nose. My husband, on the other hand, just thinks it smells like soap. 🤣 I'd enjoy this a lot more if it had a bit more throw to it.
