    The Blockhead

At first, it's all Bazooka gum. It changes as it dries, and I can smell the leather, as well as something I can't quite identify. It smells masculine to me after a few minutes. Really interesting. I agree with Rheliwen that it would be worn by Gogo in Kill Bill, that's a hilarious and accurate pin-down! Weird, unique. Not my style, but I can see why people like it. 3.3 out of 5

    L'Heure Verte

Interesting....A fresh lilac/rose note that isn't sharp or overpowering, tempered by sugar syrup. An unexpectedly pleasant floral on me. Reminds me of Her Voice, but not as intense. 4.1 out of 5

    Knucklebones

This has a masculine zing to it, but it's dark and a little rich, and the black musk adds a deep sweetness in the base. The orange flower fades too fast (as it usually does on my skin), and what's left is a slightly fresh incense/musk scent. Sexy, but maybe a bit manly for my rotation. If you want a musk scent for your man, this is your best bet! 3.8 out of 5

    Stormclouds Over The Midway

This is actually a pretty light incense blend on me, with a hint of purpley fruit (grape? plum?). It's smoky and pleasant, maybe quietly foreboding.... I like it, but I don't feel the need for 5mL. 3.7 out of 5

    Litha 2006

This is just LOVELY!!!!!!!! A smart impulse-bottle-buy, I must say! A light drizzle of honey mead, a pretty herbal tone, some sweet young honeysuckle, a faint swirl of incense.... The overall effect is soothing, feminine, clean, and fresh. This is a happy warm summer scent, I feel like I'm in a field of sweetgrass and wildflowers. I want to cuddle me! This will be in heavy rotation for the remainder of my summer. 4.8 out of 5

    A Ginger ale scent?

I quit drinking soda (for the most part) years and years ago but now I want a frosty glass of ginger ale Sooooooo freaking bad! I would also love to know what BPAL or layering of BPALs would smell like ginger ale. Keep us posted and let us know if you find what you're looking for!

    Agrat-Bat-Mahlaht

This scent is mainly Caramel single-note on me. It's very rich and sweet. It's like the caramel note from Red Lantern. I like it, but it's a little too intensely foody and thick to be something I would reach for. 3.7 out of 5 ADDED Aug. 19: I don't like caramel as a note in perfume, and it's pretty dominant for me here, so I can't say this scent appeals to me much. I can't really even pick any other notes out, all I can smell is sickly thick sweet caramel. Well, I guess I am smelling the teakwood after the drydown. Too sweet for me though. 3.4 out of 5

    Honey Moon

This starts out with clean, luscious honey, and there is some crisp ginger cutting into the sweetness. Then, the creamy gardenia and a hint of soft jasmine add a lovely floral breath. This is definitely not single-note honey, I would even say that honey is not the main note - the ginger and the florals are more dominant to my nose. It is a beautiful blend, surely one of Beth's masterpieces, and damned if I don't only have 1/4 imp to suck dry.... 4.8 out of 5 Edit to add: Won a 5mL from ebay, and was it worth it!!!! I should say that jasmine can be one of my favorite notes (when it is sweet and heady rather than sharp and penetrating), but the jasmine in Honey Moon is lusciously delicate - to die for! Gorgeous, honeyed jasmine-gardenia-ginger heaven!!!!!!

    Snow, Glass, Apples

First of all, if people are saying this smells like Snow White with apples, then I need to try Snow White again - maybe my 07 bottle was "off" or something, because I thought Snow White smelled like dry, dusty coconut and I totally hated it (no offense!). My first impression was "Holy shit, this cobalt bottle is gorgeous!" A very nice surprise! The bottle art is chilling and beautiful. How special! (I have book# 495 / 1000) Wet on the skin, it smells like tart, fresh apples and something cool and minty - I think it's eucalyptus, but there definitely is mint because it is having that cooling effect on my skin. As it dries down, the apple note does fade. Now I feel like the eucalyptus note has a floral note along with it. So, basically, I have no frickin clue what I'm smelling, but it's fresh and floral with a little fruit. Maybe even some melon?? I've been wearing it for a little while now, and I'm still not getting musk from it. It smells clean, floral, and a little sharp - I'd almost call it aquatic. I'm not sure if it's love in terms of my usual perfume preferences, but it is a work of art and I'm curious to see how it changes as it ages.

    Sri Lanka

One of my favorite old perfume layering combinations is Body Shop's Woody Sandalwood layered with Body Shop's Patchouli. It's simple, sexy, intense, earthy.... Sri Lanka is a similar combination of sandalwood and patchouli, but it puts myrrh and a touch of cedar into the mix. If I had smelled this when the Body Shop combo was my signature scent, I would have flipped the f*$# out! This is awesome!! I don't see myself getting the chance to wear this very often, because I work in an environment where people have specifically stated their hatred of patchouli and I wouldn't want to annoy anyone with my scent. However, on weekends when I'm hanging out with old friends, I think this would be a lovely twist on an old favorite perfume. Therefore, I'll keep the imp but I won't dive in after a full bottle - I just can't wear it often enough to justify 5mL. 4.8 out of 5

Wow, this scent is perfectly true to its description! Amber, musk, and sweetgrass hay. I love it! 4.5 out of 5

    Pumpkin II (2007)

There's some nice, creamy sweetness from the pumpkin, tobacco, and tonka bean, but I really hate carnation - it gives me an instant headache. This scent is smooth and sweet and yummy, but the carnation clashes for me because I really don't like that note. I will pass on my decant! 3.5 out of 5

    Snake Charmer

I got a half-decant of Snake Charmer in a swap, Thanks Lindsay!!! This smells like Snake Oil, with coconut and a little more incense. However, it does not have the lasting power of Snake Oil, and it also is similar enough that I don't feel the need to blow money on a full bottle. I might just be trying to justify not jumping in the SC-fan conga line because it's so hard (or expensive) to acquire, but for now I think I can be happy with my little decant. Mmmm I do like the scent, though.... 4.8 out of 5

    L'Inverno

Wow!!!! This is a beautiful, delicate Winter scent! The hint of pine wood is just that - a subtle hint, nothing dominant at all. The plum and musk add a lovely bit of sweetness (although this is Not a sweet perfume), and the stargazer lily is a gorgeous, soft, cool floral. For a little while in the drydown, I also get a faint suggestion of apple cider in there. This is just wonderful, and I don't always gravitate towards the wintery scents. Finely tuned! 4.7 out of 5

    Thirteen (13): October 2006

This smells so strongly of yummy dark chocolate caramel from the decant, it was a joy to pop open and smear on my skin. Once it settles with my chemistry, I can still smell the cocoa, along with a hazelnutty-caramel yumminess, some candied orange zest, a little sandalwood, and some contrasting florals - hard to describe. This is so cool! I should try the other formulations!! 4.5 out of 5

    Pinched With Four Aces

I got a testable sniffie from a kind forumite (thank you Theresa!), and the enabling is as cruel as it is generously thoughtful : -D Because, of course, it's an awesome scent. I get the tobacco wrapper scent, and it's a heavy vanilla-laced aroma. After the initial spicy drydown, I'm not getting too much in the way of cinnamon and coffee, but I can definitely pick out tonka bean. It's a comforting perfume, smooth and sweet, creamy and lazy and warm. I would wear this all winter long if I had the means to afford the ridiculous hysterical astronomical ebay bids. *sigh* Maybe Someday!! 5 out of 5

    La Primavera

A clean smelling floral, but with something more going on - there's lovely fruit sweetening up the floral bouquet, and the soft citrus is refreshing but not zingy or zesty. I am totally in love with this scent, as I am with all Four Seasons! Gorgeous label, too! Seriously I LOVE this!!!!!!!!!! :D 4.8 out of 5

    L'Autunno Atmospheric Spray

When I opened the bottle to smell my first impression, honestly I was put off because the smoky note was all vetiver to me. I am so glad that I sprayed a few sprays in our bedroom, because it smells like everything previously mentioned, which is to say FREAKIN AWESOME! I am reminded slightly of Singing Moon. I was feeling so guilty about buying all 4 Inquisitions, but everything I've tried so far has been something I'm not willing to part with. Yum yum! I have to go back to bed so I can inhale the Autumn Big Bang Nucleosynthesis Origin Of All That Is Good.

Irrelevant and Disturbing Surreal Crawdad Dream

This scent is not irrelevant or disturbing, but holy HELL it's Surreal!!!!!!!! It starts out with juicy just-picked blueberries, with a crisp, fresh undertone from the tea and ginger, and a hint of creaminess from the vanilla. The red currant swirls in and eventually dominates the berry note, and the tea also becomes more front-and-center at this point. This reminds me of the red currant in Eat Me, just without the cake note (which I found to be a tad cloying on me). I'm also reminded of Gennivre, with the tea sweetened with berry rather than sweetened with honey. I love how the ginger keeps Crawdad from being sickly sweet, it's really a wonderfully balanced fragrance! porcelina, I know exactly what raspberry hard candies you are talking about, and I totally get that impression as well! They're called La Vie Les Framboises Raspberry Hard Candy, I used to love them when I was little! Just a beautiful perfume, and unfortunately for my swaps and wallet, it's another shining star in the kick-ass Sturgeon Moon update! And I'm keepin' it : -) 4.7 out of 5

    Penumbra

There's such a unique combination of notes in this blend that I really had no idea what the overall effect could possibly be. It ends up smelling lightly resinous, with a sweetly herbal/musk undertone. I think this could only get even better with age! I would consider this an evening scent, I will wear it when I want the boy to attack

    Sturgeon Moon

This makes me think of seaweed and the ocean rather than a lake, but the only lakes I've lingered at have been puddles compared to the Great Lakes : -) The cucumber note is fresh rather than sweet to me. A lot of people have said that Sturgeon Moon is super-sweet, and I don't feel that way. It's just a lovely balance of crisp green notes with grassy notes, along with the aquatics (non-citrus) and lunar herbs. It's clean, fresh, invigorating....it makes me feel cooler on this humid summer day. It only gets better as it dries down, morphing into a green, sun-warmed sheets-on-the-line idealized moment. I really love this scent! I think it would work equally well on a cool rainy day to accent the weather, as it would on a hot sticky day to combat the heat. I will thoroughly enjoy Sturgeon Moon today and on many days to come. Wonderful! I'm glad I went for it. 4.6 out of 5

    L'Estate

Nepalese amber, vanilla infused amber, golden musk, sandalwood, golden lily, sunflower, and honey myrtle. This is one of the most awesomely gorgeous BPAL fragrances that I've received in quite a long time, I am completely enamored!!!!!!!!! On me, I do not get any powder at all, and amber often goes powdery on me when it's fresh. It's an artfully blended floral, fresh yet creamy, like sweet tree blossoms. It reminds me quite a bit of Tamamo-no-Mae, just without the citrus/tea business. I don't know what to say, I wish I could describe it better than this, but I'm just at a loss for words. A masterpiece!! 5 out of 5

Chaos Theory IV: Edge of Chaos

CCI (201) Nyoooooom nyom nyom nyom nyom nyom nyom Tobacco, myrrh, a hint of woods, crack, sex, and debauchery. A well-blended, resinous, indescribable scent. I feel very lucky to have the only bottle of 201. It's so dark and smooth, I will wear it on evenings where I'm looking to be a little bad.... I feel like it was created just for me! Fate has gifted me with a Chaos Theory that I will treasure! I wish I was better at picking out notes so I could know what's in it, because although I'm making guesses at the notes, I really have no frickin' clue This kicks ass, whoever was responsible for my precious CCI is a wonderful human being, smoochies!

What do bottles and labels look like?

I took a picture of the bottles from the Sturgeon Moon update, plus a shot of my beloved Full Monty Inquisition : -)
