    Yipe!

Wet: Dark, juicy cherry. Very loud and sweet. Drydown: Slightly softened by a vanilla cream, Yipe mellows on the drydown. Dry: Yipe has mellowed to a whisper. It is quite lovely. Overall: If Yipe had more staying power with my chemistry, she would be a real contender. Unfortunately, she poofs for me in under thirty minutes. It is a lovely experience while it lasts.

    Dragon Slide

Wet: Gloppy cake batter, and mint Drydown: Holy Andes mints, Batman. There is an undercurrent of white chocolate, and still a bit of cakey goodness. Dry: Predominantly mint. Overall: On my skin, this is less sweet than the Lick It series. It is cheerful and refreshing, with minimal throw.

    The Memory of Primal Secrets

Wet: Deep, dark aquatic, with a flash of ozone, and something like hazelnut. Drydown: It definitely gets saltier, like a swirling storm at sea. The note that reminded me of hazelnut bells out a bit, and is supported by wood notes, transforming into a storm-tossed ship. Dry: Gorgeous, dark aquatic cologne. Overall: This has aged quite well. It is quite pleasant, with none of the ominous teeth of earlier reviews.

    Gordian Hairmop

Wet: Glorious French tobacco, with underpinnings of mahogany and teak. Drydown: There is definite snarling here. It's hard to untangle individual notes, but it's rich dark woods and an almost effervescent fizziness. As it continues to dry, vetiver comes to the fore. Dry: This is quite lovely. It is pleasantly unisex. No one note screams over any other. I wanted a little more lavender out of this, because lavender and vetiver together are swoonworthy.

    Clinochlore Phoenix

Wet, this is sweet blackcurrant with a tinge of tartness. As it dries, a sugared rose comes into play, with soft underpinnings of a gentle musk. The throw is minimal on my skin, but it is a gentle girlishly pink scent that lasts for a couple of hours.

    2020 Aesthetic

Tart, delightful raspberry. It's sweet and candy-like. A definite mood booster. ❤️

    Dark Lace

I'm usually pretty nervous with soil notes because my skin amps that, but Dark Lace surprisingly worked well for me. The loam weaves in and out on my skin, but it's never overwhelming. Mostly, it's a gorgeous heady tobacco with wisps of cognac. A warm vanilla comes in for me around the half hour mark. The overall effect is quite elegant and sultry.

    Unicorn and Ram

Softly spiced leather. This one is definitely cozy, and I agree it is reminiscent of Tombstone, but wrapped in a soft wool blanket.

    Enlightenment of the Courtesan Jigokudayu

Wet: Pear swirled with tiare. Drydown: It's getting a little spicy now. Hello, carnations. There are little whispers of another light floral around the edges. Dry: (hours later) Soft pears and floral, but somehow different than my initial wet stage. Overall: This one is definitely a morpher, and so gorgeous. The throw was minimal but it lasted for quite a long time on my skin. It really reminded me of Tiki Princess when I first applied it, but it ended up nowhere near it.

    Black Swallowtail

Licorice forward at the beginning, mellows to a sultry, shadowy floral.

    Sparrows in Flight

Soft, fuzzy peach wrapped in a delicious chypre. Sweet, and subtle, with excellent throw and wear length.

    Like Father, Like Daughter

Sugar spun tart pomegranates. This is delicate, and sweetly sour while it lasts, but is very brief on my skin.

    Au Milieu Hair Gloss

This is absolutely gorgeous. It's a salty aquatic with underpinnings of wood and spikes of vetiver. I feel like a sultry mermaid.

    Encroaching Madness

Bottle: Horrifying sharp, acrid. I'm a little nervous to test this on my skin, but science! Wet: Swirling Honeysuckle over a minty, herbaceous aquatic scent. Drydown: The herbal quality settles down, and chrysanthemum dances in. Dry: This is quite pretty on my skin chemistry. It's a lovely sunny floral scent, quite the opposite of what I get in the bottle.

    Enlightenment of the Courtesan Jigokudayu

At first, it is a sweet, creamy pear scent. As it dries down, I can see the comparisons to Tiki Princess (which I adore), but less of the loud coconut vibe here in EotCJ. The pear is dissipating in the drydown, so it's soft and mellow sweetness with minimal throw.

    Death’s Head Moth

Wet: Warm sandalwood with a bite of pepper and a dash of clove. Gorgeous. Drydown: Clove, clove, clove. Holy clove, Batman. Dry: The clove softened eventually. The final result is a warm, clove and sandalwood blend. It isn't as cuddly for me as Hunter, but it is still rather pleasant.

    Aorta

Wet: Luscious plum with a tinge of tartness. Drydown: Rose majestically sweeps in, and is sweetened by the plum. My skin really tends to amp red roses, so the rose quickly takes center stage for me. Dry: Bare whispers of rose with a hint of fruit. It was lovely while it lasted, though it was brief.

    Unwelcome Suggestion

Wet, I get almond and a bit of soft floral. On the drydown, there is a lovely green vegetal note. The overall effect is very soft as it dries. My skin gobbles it up rather quickly though.

    The Writing on the Slate

Soft, creamy beeswax, with a tinge of a stone note underneath. It isn't as sweet as beeswax normally is on my skin. This one is lovely and consistently warmed beeswax for hours.

    Mountain Temple

For me, it's pure ozone and swirling snow. My skin reacted to it for some reason, which is very unusual for me, but it is a lovely scent.

    White Gardenia & Vanilla Cream

Gorgeous, trumpeting gardenia, that gets creamier as it dries down. Dry, it is definitely softened and sweetened by the vanilla cream. It's the perfect fragrance for a sweltering day. So lovely!

    Cold Moon

Reminiscent of Blue Moon, but blended with a chilled white floral. Soft and snowy gorgeousness. The throw is very minimal on my skin, and it doesn't last more than a couple of hours, but it is lovely while it does.

    Sprouting Grass Moon

Cool, minty green over a bed of freshly clipped grass. Underneath, there is a bit of green bell pepper. As time passes, the crisp green pepper becomes more dominant, but it softer along the edges. The overall effect is quite pleasant, even if it isn't my usual fare.

    The Unheavenly City

I finally have my hands on this thanks to the Lab's Etsy, and I am thrilled. The Unheavenly City is a luscious, creamy marriage of magnolia and jasmine, with just a bit of gardenia for good measure. Although the oil is a lovely reddish shade, the red musk is barely a whisper on my skin.

White Sandalwood, Sage & Bourbon Vanilla

Wet: Effervescent, sweetened sandalwood. It reminds me of the creamy vanilla of Lawn Gnome, but with sandalwood instead of patchouli. Drydown: As it dries, bits of velvety sage slip in bashfully. This is developing quite gorgeously. Dry: The final iteration on my skin is a soft sweetened sage, with a bit of the sandalwood underneath. It is quiet, and understated, and perfectly lovely.
