In the imp: violet-strawberry candy. Very sweet. Wet: Like I dropped the candy in the dirt. Something sharp and medical. Dry: Mostly violet with a little candy strawberry again.

    The Hypnotic Eye Atmosphere Spray

Initially the lavender and white musk combination with a bit of sharpness from herbal notes brought my mind to Waiting, but this is much different once settled. The jasmine comes out and the vanilla warms the blend a little. Quite vaporous and light.

    A Robber's Castle Atmosphere Spray

Very smoky leather, but no chemical sharpness. Some coal, that almost-but-not-quite pushes into bbq territory. Overall quite intriguing!

    Slade Atmosphere Spray

Something about the combination of pine, cedar, and bay rum came off as the green, grassy type of vetiver. Starts off to me as very much a forest scent, but the lemongrass, pepper, and cardamom add a delcious warmth to this.

Painted and Padded Beauties Bath Oil

Before reading the notes I got a bit of spicy carnation but mostly a nectar-sweet and somewhat velvety scent that I would have guessed was apricot or peach, or perhaps peach blossom. I think this is a combination of the patch, ambrette and musk. As it lingers the peony really comes out over the top.

    The Moon Goddess

Got this decant for my guy but I had to try it too. On me it is very woody, with lots of smoky vetiver. As it fades I get a bit of lemon to brighten and freshen the blend. On my guy its a base of leather and woods, soft and warm. The hay is prominent making it soft and dusty (in a good way) with a good dose of bright lemon.

In the imp: Ultra-sweet blueberry, smells like bubblegum. Wet: Blueberry, and something overwhelming. Sharp and sweet, I think it might be a combination of the tangerine (smells a bit like the sharpness of orange rind?) mixed with the citrus/pine snow note. But not a lot of it, might be the frozen aspect. Dry: A softer, more natural blueberry, with a distinctly juicier tangerine surrounding it. I get some vague white flowers, and underneath everything just a tinge of pine snow that grounds the sweetness of the other notes.

In the imp: a thin-smokiness cut by a syrupy sweet medicinal scent. Wet: The thin sweetness of the poppy blooms and takes over. Dry: Juicy blackcurrant with green herbal edges.

In the imp this was a rich, sweet patchouli the kind I love but unfortunately generally doesn't work on my skin anymore. With the sandalwood this definitely went to the drier, more woody side of patchouli when wet. Eventually the frankincense takes over a bit, making it a bright, gritty scent. It retains the earthy woodiness from the patch and sandalwood making it almost rugged on me. It glows in a grounded, earthy way. The word sun-baked comes to mind.

    Serving Gill

I was worried the kelp, seaweed, and salt would push this way too sharp and salty. I love aquatics, but on the sweeter, softer side. The blue musk is very fresh and a little sweet, but the other notes give it a depth and saltiness that firmly makes it an oceanic scent, but not a harsh one.

    Slay!

Rich chewy patchouli stands out here, and it doesn't go flat on me! Something about this reminds me of black leather scents, but without the chemical sharpness they tend to have on me. It might be partly due to the tobacco which smells like the drier, woodier kind to me. If I really search I get some warm traces of cacao that soften the edges a bit.

    Lycanthrope for Your Life

In the bottle: Whiskey and butter. Very buttery, it kind of put me off of trying it! Wet: Still lots of butter, reminding me of microwave popcorn. But there is a little spice coming through and warm whiskey though I don't know if that is helping or hurting at this point. Dry: The sweet, spicy cardamom backed by the deep sugary/woody warmth of whiskey. Getting no more butter or fig.

    The Library is Haunted

In the bottle: crisp, clean white musk. A little sharpness. Wet: Lots of soft pale flowers, sweet and heady. The white musk is still clean and sharp. Smells like a nice soap. Dry: Very faded, and powdery. Reminds me of a deodorant scent that would be called "Freshly Showered" or something

    High-Strung Daisies Bath Oil

Airy, sweet, and just a touch spicy just like the perfume oil. I think I get more sugar with this and the carnations start very strong on my skin and then fall back to let the daisy shine. I also see the bubblegum associations, only because it is a very pink and sugary scent though. As it wears the sugar lightens up and more of the spice from the carnation and pepper comes through.

    Fairy Wine Bath Oil

In the bottle I get the effervescent note I find it champagne scents like Bon Vivant, which I hadn't expected. Underneath I get a deep sweet fruitiness from the wine and currant, but not distinctly. On my skin this floats off. It becomes an intoxicating sweet berry wine, not cloying but just sweet enough to round the edges of the booziness and keep me coming back to sniff more. I don't have much experience with dandelion scents but I get just a hint of breezy grassiness that I think must be it. This stays strong but not overpowering, and the throw isn't very large either. Very lovely and now I want the perfume as well!

    Douze

In the imp: light tea roses paired with airy orchid. Wet: Pink floral hay, very soft. Dry: I distinctly get some soft sandalwood. The tea roses and orchid are light and breezy, barely there for me. Unfortunately the hay went off, occasionally coming in like flat, wet hay.

    Sweet Lavinia's Risalamande

This is a creamy rice scent with a bit of a toasted quality. Reminds me of Haus of Gloi's Mango Sticky Rice without the mango. Absolutely do not mind the missing cherry!

    Huit

In the imp: black rose. I think out of all roses this might be my least favorite. It's not bad just a bit bitter for me. Wet: Dark bitter rose with an edge like incense. Dry: still mostly black incensey rose, with a whiff of dried apricot that balances the bitter rose a bit.

    Deserted Theater Atmosphere Spray

I get a soft smoky beeswax with a bit of greasepaint lingering in the background.

    Lucan’s Phoenix

In the imp: sharp and bright. Wet: Lemony, but something sharp and herbal takes over. Reminds me of cleaner. Dry: airy lemon and soft herbs. Just a touch sweet, not sharp anymore.

    The Chilling Cellar

Sniffing in the decant: Yum! Sweet, red, juicy fruitiness. Looking at the notes now, it still doesn't scream wine. There is no sharpness or booziness yet. Wet: gets a little older, less sweet and candish. Maybe even creepier, definitely getting some brickish note. Not unpleasant though. Dry: for a bit this was really nice! An interesting wine scent, with some earthiness and bit of tang. However as it dries it gets very unsettling. Doe smell like a dark, cold cellar. The tang fades and there is just a hint of wine.

    Drag on a Slime

This smells like a tropical vacation in a bottle. I get lots of sweet, nectar-y guava which I love. The rum and lime definitely cut some of the sweetness for me, and the orchid lifts it and adds a nice airy touch. Head over heels for this.

    Groom of Frankenstein

In the bottle this is all sharp leather. On my skin I get a flash of sweetish-green like aftershave-y ozone. I agree with other reviews, normally black leather goes chemically and screechy on my skin, but the ozone makes this quite pleasant. Not normally my kind of scent, but really sexy! Glad I got a chance to try it!

    Gently, Gently Bath Oil

A nice dull (not in a bad way, just a gentle way) spicy carnation. Smells like a lullaby. So softly warming, like a cup of spiced tea. Would be so nice in the dead of winter.

L'Essence de la Passion Hair Gloss

I love red musk, and I love carnations. Trying to remember why I passed on this (I already own a red musk HG and a carnation HG) mostly I get a deep honeyed red musk (reminds me a lot of The Poem Cloud). I suspect some of the deepness is from the myrrh, and there's a little spice from the carnations.
