In the imp I get a big hit of almond (the kind that sometimes goes cherryish on me) and coconut with a bit of heady jasmine in the mix. Wet it goes very sharp, something about the hinoki is not playing well with the almond on my skin. As it dries the almond takes over, sharp and more like cherry cough syrup than nutty. Eventually the cherry cough syrup vibe gives way to a nutty jasmine and coconut cream, but the wet stage is a bit much for me.

Snow Moon: Roasted Tea Leaf and Night-Blooming Jasmine
roseus replied to doomsday_disco's topic in Duets & Menage A Trois
This jasmine is so beautiful, very smooth and sweet not at all indolic. It blends well with the tea note, definitely a green tea note. A very pretty jasmine tea scent. -
This is delicious! Smells like some sticky cardamom confection. The chestnut has its own earthy sweetness, the nuttiness helps ground the vanilla and caramel and I get tons of cardamom sprinkled over top. It's sweet but not cloyingly so. It is transporting me to deep winter, cozied up against the weather and eating something incredible.

This is all soft aquatic in the imp but I get a hit of grass on my skin. It settles to be dew-forward, soft brisk and silvery but I get crisp green grass underneath.

I initially get a bracing cologne, which softens a bit into the woods and patchouli as it dries. I'm getting quite a bit of bergamot I assume from the chypre, and just a hint of rosé in the background. Bright and elegant with a somewhat rugged undertone.

Beautiful blend of fresh rain and vanilla! A bit earthy from the moss, with a billowy warmth from the vanilla and silk notes. Clean but warm and cozy. Makes me think of sitting at a cottage window during a warm summer rain.

I get lots of soft sweet apple on my skin, followed by yuzu and soft aquatic notes. Crisp and fruity with a mossy cleanness.

I totally agree this has a GC vibe to it, very classic BPAL. Velvety red rose and coconut are the standouts on me with spicy musk and heady magnolia trailing behind. The coconut makes this summery but not tropical. As it wears I get more tobacco, and after a few hours it fades to spicy slightly floral tobacco scent. I'm in love!

This is mostly lilac and light tobacco on me, with a hint of blackcurrant coming in as it wears. Delicate and very spring-like.

I get mostly a really sweet creamy coconut at first, with a sweet and slushy snow note building as it dries.

A more delicate, twinklier sister to Morana. Chilly tart green apple and yuzu, with fresh musk and snowdrops. It has clean breezy quality from the musk and snowdrops but it's mostly about the ice and apple and yuzu on my skin. Glittering and crisp.

In the imp this is so fruity and juicy, all cherry and blackberry wine. The cherry is gorgeous rich and sweet with that slight bitter edge, so true to life. On my skin I get the other notes, mostly spiced rose and a bit of leather, but the cherry goes a few steps torward cough syrup. Overall the scent is still very nice, but cherry just doesn't play very nice on me unfortunately.

Fizzy amber indeed! I thought there might be soft champagne note in here. The fizz fades as it dries. This is gorgeous, rich but sheer and slinky at the same time. It's warm like candleglow with the musk and vanilla and has just enough heft from the patchouli (soft and woody) and amber.

Worm Moon: Bourbon Vanilla and Teakwood
roseus replied to doomsday_disco's topic in Duets & Menage A Trois
The vanilla is very sweet and light and that is all I get initially. The teak starts to creep in but like stated above it is not a deep, dark teak note. As it dries the scent is more teak-forward, a light but rich dry wood with a light halo of vanilla. Very pretty!- 6 replies

I get honey dust and the aquatic notes in the imp. The aquatics are fresh, bright and very lightly salty and the honey dust is warm, sweet, and has a body to it but there is a separation to my nose, like oil and water. On my skin they blend into eachother more, and I think the florals and amber/ambergris/orris help with that. The honey is less heavy on my skin and with the florals gives a breezy impression. It's much less aquatic on my skin, more breezy florals and light sweet amber with just a tiny tinge of aquatic, really mostly the freshness of the blue musk and a tiny sliver of grapefruit for brightness.

Soft, sweet florals. I have difficulty picking out any one note, the overall feel is a soft powdery pink (it's sweet but not sugary, and the scent itself is not powdery but a musky-floral). It's reminding me of a non-BPAL perfume I just can't quite put my finger on it. Delicate and feminine.

In the imp I'm finding this very light and sweet, and there's a sort of bubblegum note - maybe lotus? On my skin I get a sort of fizzy spicy cola note, which I get with some resins. It almost makes me think of the fizzy champagne note, but softer. The base gets richer as it dries but it is very much a gorgeous glittering resin scent. This is worthy of a bottle upgrade for me!

In the imp I get deep herbal lavender, followed by a bit of clean moss, soft oud, and cananga (ylang ylang). It smells like a summer night after the days heat has gone. On my skin I get the resins and sandalwood, wet it is very woody/resinous. I'm finding the ouds very gentle and non-funky. As it dries the lavender comes out again, the dryness of it blending well with the woods. A bit of richness again from the ylang ylang peaks out and gives it a heady night garden feel.

This beeswax is incredible, so creamy and reminds me a bit of candlewax notes in other scents. Glowing. The pine blends into it beautifully. Sitting in a cabin by candlelight in a pine forest.

Soft and smooth indeed! I get mostly rosewood and frankincense in the imp. On my skin I get a touch of earthiness and a bit of soft, sweet cinnamon around that gently glowing core of rosewood and frankincense. Good throw and longevity.

This starts off as a nostalgic VCR smell, that dusty turpentine-esque situation others have described better. As it dries down it loses that chemical-y machinery quality and is strangely pleasant, I get some woodiness and maybe leather? I feel like there's a citrus note somewhere back there as well.

Dark syrupy and resinous in the imp. On my skin it is a smoky lavender but not overly so, backed by resins. I get no cacao. Very soothing and a gorgeous option if you're not into sweet lavenders.

In the imp this is blossomy and fruity, but fresh on it is all citrus. I have a similar experience to @doomsday_disco, it starts of all citrus which gets more bitter and pithy as the pine peaks out. I don't get any dragon's blood, which is just as well because it tends to takeover and goes oddly fruity on me. As it dries I get the florals, I have a hard time picking out any one note but it's like a garden breeze with the citrus notes underneath and tiny bit of pine.

I definitely see the affinity with Zorya P! Where Zorya P is silvery moonlight, this is soft golden morning light. It's warm airy and musky. I get mostly the vanilla fougere, orris, and porcelain. There is a hint of violet leaf (definitely not the flower on me). Orris and violet flower tend to go wonky on me, though sometimes I get lucky with orris as I do here. I'm getting Renaissance vibes from this, very elegant and well blended.

In the imp I get rich mix of leather, amber, and teak. Rough but with an elegance. There's just a hint of a slightly fruity red musk. On my skin the leather blooms, a very lovely soft smooth leather. The teak and amber are much softer and I get more low green notes from the balsam and oakmoss, with a hint of mint that adds a pleasing freshness. The red musk disappears on me until well into the dry down, and just lingers in the background. I find it hard to sum up this scent, it has a sort of edgy sophistication to it. I don't find it particularly masculine but I'd say it leans more that direction if pressed. It makes me think of an old study, but one that belongs to an adventurer rather than a homebody scholar. One for leather lovers I think!
