Amber & Steel Hooks Hair Gloss

I totally get the cumin that @LizziesLuck mentions. It's a lingering back note that says spice, but not a sweet spice. I can't say I enjoy it on my skin, but in my hair, it floats around and makes me feel sexy - coy with a potential for danger, but you aren't quite sure, which makes it even more fun. This may be for special occasions only.

    Katrina van Tassel

Mainly rose and cream at first, already delicious, but give it some time then the honey comes up, and it's swoonworthy. It does remind me a lot of other BPAL roses in how it's very classic with a twist.

    Pomegranate Sufganiyot

Got this as a frimp from a decant circle. I didn't think this kind of scent would be a win for me...and I was correct. It's all red fruit - exactly as it describes, not for me, but perfect for folks who want to smell like juicy, red fruits.

Coy Mermaid with a Vulva-Shaped Head

Wet this is a lot of jasmine (which I tend to amp it seems), but give it some time and then it becomes an intriguing combination of this traditional jasmine perfume meets counterculture hippie which rounds out the jasmine. I am on the fence as to whether or not the jasmine may be too much for me, so I think I'll keep it a bit and see. I feel like this would be really nice to wear in late winter/early spring when I want the comfort of those more resinous scents, but I am little eager for spring.

    Fracas with Eleven Kabuki Actors

Wet this is almond, and I want to say cherry, but I think that could be either the mimosa and bourbon cream, or just the fact that almond so often is paired with cherry and it's hard for my nose to separate them. As it dries, the cherry/mimosa recedes more to play in the background, and the hay and sandalwood come forward. Like others, I see this as more of a fall scent - it's almost gourmand, but not quite as there is a sense of floralness to it. I may need a bottle.

    Cherry Blossom Vulva

This is like floral candy on me. As @Poenari said, it does remind me of BBW Cherry Blossom, but BPALed so therefore far more nuanced and sophisticated. It actually kinda reminds me of parma violets sans the chalkiness - I think that might be due to the gardenia? I don't think it's a keeper for me, I like my florals a little less sweet, but it is definitely fun - sex kitten like @whipwaif says!

    Blissful Domesticity

The jasmine gives this the sense of a traditional perfume, but the apple adds a twist - like hipsters making donuts gourmet (which is no shade - I love the gourmet donuts as much as the regular donuts). I think I will be keeping this one - it intrigues me with this lovely balance of the classic elegance of a traditional floral with fun, fruity, youthful green apple.

    The Pancake Bell

A frimp from a decant circle with just enough for 1 test. I expected this to be a lot more cloying, and when wet, upon first sniff it is - all pancakes and syrup, but as it dried, I quickly noticed something behind it that gave it more depth and interest - definitely nutty. Not really my kinda perfume oil, but a pleasant surprise.

    Adventuresome Encounters

A frimp from a decant circle with just enough for 1 test. Wet mostly smells like cinnamon, which I am not a fan of in my perfume, with cozy, warm vanilla - with a trace of yam like sweet potato casserole. The cinnamon becomes less prominent as it dries which I like a lot more. I liked trying it, but not really one I need for my BPAL collection.

Honey, Black Lilies, and Gardenia Petals

I can't stop huffing this - it's so intriguing. I think @sunshinedaisybliss description of burnt brown sugar is spot on with some heady florals lingering in the background. It's like a snarky, Southern lady who throws veiled insults your way and is gone before you figure it out. Good staying power, even after washing my hands (tried it on my hand), but not overwhelming.

    Lick It Now

A frimp from a decant circle with just enough for 1 test. Wet this peppermint candy, fun, but not something I imagine myself wearing, yet once it dries down, I find my tune changing. It's much softer - think of like shifting from hard peppermint candies to those softer, chalkier ones. I think this could be great in summer as a sort of cool down scent, but isn't like bam, Christmas in July (at least once it dries).

    The Shell Box

Wet this is white florals, a softened jasmine on me with a boho vibe - like Hamptons meets Beach Boho. It becomes more delicate as it dries, the jasmine receding into the background and it feels more relaxed. I wanted something a little saltier than this for my beachy themed scent I think, but it's still exquisite.

    Peach Vulva

Mostly peach and apricot, though I do get the rice milk lending making it less of a fruity scent and more of a warm gourmand. I mean it's all in on the peach and apricot. I realized I like peach more than I realized, but I think I prefer a fresher fruit approach.

Undine Comes Into the House of the Fishermen

Saw this on someone's list who I did a decant circle I participated in and decided to give it a whirl because I am desperate for anything resembling my beloved Sunrise with Sea Monsters. This is a lot of jasmine on me, but a sea-worthy jasmine - picture a regal Mermaid Queen. It's pretty heady jasmine on me at first, but calms down after about an hour, then it's more of a gently, breezy, seaside floral. I can't decide if I want to keep it because the jasmine is pretty overpowering at first - but such is my battle with jasmine. I really like it in small doses and once it calms down, but getting there can be tricky.

It’s All I Have to Bring Today

I get what folks are saying about the dryer-sheets because it does have a bit of that clean cotton, sheets drying in the spring breeze aspect to it, and the honey note is not your typical BPAL honey note, more subtle. But I think it all comes together in such a comforting way: like turning your face towards the sun on a lovely spring day as a breeze blows by. My skin eats this up though, so the throw is very low on me. TL;dr' golden, lovely, and clean, but very low throw

    Bastet

This is luxurious as described when first applied, but once it dries down it becomes very soft on me, mostly amber.

    Scherezade Hair Gloss

This scent is so damn sexy and applying it to my hair - just like makes it even sexier. This was my first exposure to Scheherazade, and I will probably be buying a bottle of the perfume oil now, too. I mainly get spiced red musk from this - almost foodie. I love it.

    Alice's Evidence

This was a frimp, so not something I would normally pick, which is a part of the fun, because I am surprised by how much I like it. I would usually avoid such a foodie scent, but I find myself very drawn to it. This is fruity, but subtely so - balanced by the ginger and rum which add spice - but again I still wouldn't think to describe it as foodie. It stays close to the skin, but I like that. I am on the fence about keeping it in my collection or not, but one of those BPALs that is just worth the experience.

    Midnight Mass

Wet has a BPAL woody note I have smelled in many other BPALs, but can't recall specifically right now, followed up incense, and then something fruity (could be red wine like some folks have mentioned). As it dries, the red fruit comes out more and the wood recedes into the background - the incense literally is like just a puff when you sniff, then it's gone. Throw is very minimal - even for me, and I like my scents close. Like others, I am hoping some aging will make it a little stronger.

    Snow-Covered Landscape

This is just beautiful. I can't stop sniffing myself. It's gentle and soft, sweet florals. It makes me think of Yule scents because it has these pretty florals, but it's also "cozy" - which is probably due to the ambergris accord and ambrette seed. Like everyone notes low throw, but that is what I prefer, I like having to get up close to sniff - and I don't get a headache either. Not sure if I will get a bottle of this, but will definitely use up the imp.

    The Poinsettia Gown

That is a heady jasmine, funnily enough the rose helps soften the edges of the jasmine, but it's still so much FLORAL. I tried to let it settle on my skin, but ultimately wiped it off because the jasmine was just too much. It's elegant, classic - definitely feels like the vintage postcard image that inspired the scent.

    To a Wreath of Snow

This is fruity sweet on me - I am not really sure why. If I move in closer (once dried) and sniff deeply, I get a well-blended floral-ish perfume. I don't pick up distinct notes (and I am pretty keen on BPAL's lavendar notes). I think this just may be a skin mismatch for me based on other reviews?

    La Befana

Well, parma violets are a newp for me. I thought the dust and charcoal notes might balance it out, but on me this is all violet candies...and not much more. Like high quality violet candies which may be some of the other notes creeping in, but my skin is just amping all candy and sweets for the most part.

    Winter Scene in Little Russia

I will be buying a bottle of this. It hits all my notes: herby lavender (courtesy of the tea) sweetened by the BPAL snow note, and the smoke gives it this lovely depth and interest. I favor "pale" scents like this, but the pine smoke sets it apart from my other pale scents.

    The Cherry-Tree Carol

Like cherry cola wet, but almost immediately rounds out once it settles on the skin. Still very cherry and red berry, but more balanced with woodier notes. I think it really represents the name and description. I used to be averse to cherry and berry scents on my skin, but have found myself increasingly drawn to them. I don't think this is a keeper for me, I think I need something more subtle, but a lovely experience to test.
