    Te Po

I feel like I know Te Po already. It's so familiar, but I can't put my finger on it. It's fresh, spicy, sweet, green and ginger-y. Unfortunately, it's tingling-almost-burning my neck. It's probably the mint. I had the same problem with Monster Bait: Tokyo Stomp. The tingle/burn dies down pretty quickly though, but I may have to get a scent locket to wear this perfume. Anyway, with dry down comes the liquor! Woo! I smell like a mouthwatering, pink, girly drink. That goes to almond/orange rum within an hour. After about four hours, Te Po is rather incense-y, but still has that almond/orange dominating. The throw stays pretty strong throughout its life. I like it, but it just did not do as well as I hoped.

    Imp

At first Imp was a little sour on me. Almost like musky wine, but it morphed quickly to juicy peaches. I'm going to assume the amber is what makes the peaches golden instead of white to me. Well, maybe it's the golden musk. :B I don't know, Imp is just a gilded perfume in the beginning. As time passes, a woody note pops out. It's very surprising. Imp also dries out for me. It's not as juicy, but still completely enjoyable. The throw barely weakens after five hours. Since this is me we're dealing with, Imp has turned into patchouli and musk. However, it is a very pleasant, mellow mix.

    Euterpe

When I first put Euterpe on, I got a woodsy note. Five minutes later, it's completely honeysuckle. Really, really strong honeysuckle. After an hour, I can't tell which floral is the most pronounced. It's just a heavy, powdery floral. It's so heavy that it makes me want to sneeze. Another hour passes and Euterpe becomes much more enjoyable. I get poppy and iris with a dash of lemon. The floral notes are deepened by the musk, but it never overpowers them. (This is extremely weird considering my chemistry and musk.) In the end, Euterpe is pleasant enough. I don't feel much for it. It's floral and doesn't really stand out from other floral perfumes. I can see why this has been discontinued.

    Earth Rat

Right out of the imp, I love Earth Rat. I get citrusy melon and pine. It's sweet and very appealing. It reminds me of Fire Pig, which isn't surprising considering the ingredients for both perfumes, but Earth Rat is more fruity/melon resin. After about half an hour, the florals come out. They push the fruit to the side, but the pine resin remains. The resin keeps Earth Rat from being too light. At about the six-hour mark, Earth Rat is lingering, but just barely. It's turned mostly floral with a touch of coconut. Still, I can say that Earth Rat has been a pleasure to wear!

    Rose Red

Rose Red 2007 is a lush rose bush. Dark green leaves, wet branches and plump red roses. Talk about rich! It feels expensive and almost virginal. It stayed true for its life, which was about five hours. The throw in the beginning was stronger than I'm used to. I was afraid I'd fill a room with this perfume. However, with drying it mellowed. I don't think I need a bottle, but I will enjoy my imp!

    Nanshe

At first, Nanshe was cheap candy. Strangely akin to limey Lemonheads. Not bad, but it didn't smell like a typical BPAL perfume. Then it turned to Lemon Pledge after thirty minutes. Within two hours, I had pencil shavings. Nanshe all but disappeared after four hours. Blaaaah.

    Hollywood Babylon

Heliotrope and strawberry with a bite of musk is what I first catch from Hollywood Babylon. It’s very juicy and dark red like overripe fruit. After about two hours, the vanilla and amber slither out to darken Hollywood Babylon – very sexy and corrupted. By four hours, Hollywood Babylon was mostly musky amber with dark flowers. The berries were completely gone and the perfume lost its personality. I’m pretty sure that this would work better on someone else.

    Cockaigne

Cockaigne is exactly like the description. The tart, juicy wine compliments the cake note. The milk and honey add a golden touch to the cake. I see a spice cake with cream cheese frosting when I smell this perfume. And it stayed that way too! Honestly though, I smell like a drunken baker. Or as my mother aptly puts it, “A rum-soaked tart!” I love it. Cockaigne is a bottle-buy for me.

    Blue Moon 2007

Blue Moon is just like White Moon on me. I really don't smell much difference. You can read my review of White Moon below.

    Death Adder

I mostly get the vetiver in Death Adder for the first hour. It’s very harsh with the Snake Oil. However, the coconut and vanilla soothe the bite of this perfume. By the four-hour mark, Death Adder was simply dark, spicy vanilla with a hint of fresh coconut. I have to say that Death Adder has changed my opinion about the Snake Pit after the disappointment of Habu. I’m not sure if this is a bottle-buy for me, but I will definitely enjoy my imp!

    Lilium Inter Spinas

Lilium Inter Spinas smelled just like original scent of Gain laundry detergent when I put this on. This made me sooo happy! After an hour, the apple blossom dominates with the sandalwood backing it. I never caught the hibiscus, lily of the valley or fig. I’m kind of sad about that, but the apple blossom is so fruity, floral and juicy! It stayed that way too. Overall, Lilium Inter Spinas is awesome. It’s strong without being choking and clean without being soapy. I think this might become a bottle-buy for me!

    Kathmandu

The first half hour of Kathmandu was root beer with anise. I have to say that it was completely awesome. The cedar really starts to break through after an hour and it brings with it a pepper note. After four hours, Kathmandu became sandalwood and, I guess, chiuri bark. It’s resin sweetness with a hint of exotic wood. There might be a floral note hiding in the background. It’s not very distinct. I still like Kathmandu at the end of its life, but I’m not crazy about it.

    Black Pearl

At first Black Pearl smelled like sun-tanning lotion. The coconut was more the meat than the milk. After an hour the iris and hazelnut develop, so the perfume takes on a richer, deeper feel. The musk really came out after about two hours and overpowered the coconut. I end up with musky iris and hazelnuts. It’s more musk than either note though. I’m rather disappointed. I was hoping the musk would enhance and not overpower, but my skin just looooves musk, apparently.

    Fae

I wasn’t really impressed by Fae when I first put it on. It was cologne-y. I just shrugged it off and hoped it would get better. And better it got! The musk simply grounds Fae while the bergamot brings a mellowness. The heliotrope and peach confuse my nose. I get a blending of floral and fruit. I’m not complaining though! It’s a wonderful combination. On me, at the four-hour mark, the bergamot note takes on a darker, musky floral instead of the peachy heliotrope. Fae is green and tingly in the beginning though. Not tingly on your skin, but tingly in your head. It’s just, well, bright and happy. It’s perfect for making a dreary day much more cheery.

    Fire Pig

Fire Pig is so much like Tweedledee that I'm instantly in love! It's fruity, sweet and simply delightful. The kumquat and orange are really strong with the peony adding a lovely, light floral. I don't pick up on dragon's blood at all, however, I wasn't assaulted by Nian while wearing this, so it must be in there. I have to say that Fire Pig lasts much longer than Tweedledee. It stayed true and strong for over four hours. It seems that this is another one to go on my never-ending bottle-buy list. Oh, the horror.

    Tiger Lily

The Mad Tea Party strikes again! Tiger Lily is definitely feisty! Sweet, spicy lilies are what I got. There is a wonderful dollop of honey too. This perfume is friendly and radiant. It stays that way too. It never went flat. If you're a fan of lily, do not overlook Tiger Lily!

    Block Buster

Block Buster kept changing on me during the first hour of wear. At first it was powdery, then dusty roses and it finally settled on cinnamon, mint and patchouli with honey. It got a little harsh briefly and calmed down to a warm, green spiciness that was sexy and smooth. Slowly, the patchouli took over. The mint crispness was dispelled. Block Buster ended up a sweet patchouli with a very mild cinnamon. I wish this perfume had stayed true after settling. It was so fresh and rather heady.

    Les Bijoux

Orange blossom and peach with a soothing drizzle of honey is what I get from Les Bijoux. It's fresh and bright. There is a hint of rose, but it's so airy that it doesn't weight the perfume down. After about two hours, the frankincense comes out. It adds a resin sweetness. Les Bijoux stays pretty true to initial application: floral, flirty and feminine. I had my doubts when I first received this imp since it's a little sour in the bottle. But I doubt no more. Les Bijoux is beautiful.

    Cheshire Cat

The grapefruit is the strongest note with the currant coming in second. There is a light floral which I assume is the chamomile and delphinium. The lavender and musk are more spicy than anything else. Cheshire Cat is playful and has a party vibe to it. After about four hours, Cheshire Cat is juicy and dark. This isn't real surprising for me. However, I love the Cat. I don't think it's a bottle-buy, but I will enjoy my imp.

    The Dodo

The cassia burned my neck. I had to wash it off immediately. I'm a sad and tender kitty. I was able to leave The Dodo on my wrists and it stayed true to the imp. I mostly smell the spicy musk and sandalwood with a hint of the agarwood. Very incensey. It reminds me of a new age store with the mellow music in the background and the pretty skirts for sale. I'm not sure what happened to the lemon, sugar or mango. They just don't show up at all for me.

    Yggdrasil

Drydown is peppermint Altoids. I kid you not! Minty fresh! Curiously strong! Freakin' weird! Immediately after drydown comes eucalyptus with a companion of fresh, dark herbs. After that came the lemon. In a word, Yggdrasil is confusing. There's something very astringent in this perfume. Very crisp and clean. There's a masculine quality that's very appealing, but depending one's chemistry, it may not read as masculine.

    Queen Mab

Drydown is completely osmanthus. It's dense, romantic and very feminine. I picture heavy white lace when I smell Queen Mab. After about half an hour, the jasmine and rose with a hint of musk join the osmanthus. Queen Mab becomes lighter but keeps the romantic vibe going. After two hours, Queen Mab is jasmine and orchid. There's the sandalwood now with the musk. This is, oh, so feminine without being girlie. Simply lovely. I was not a fan of this perfume when I smelled it in the imp. It was musky and sour floral. However, I've been proven wrong again. Queen Mab is thoroughly enjoyable and delightfully womanly.

    Baron Samedi

Drydown of Baron Samedi was icky. Too rum-y and harsh. I didn't like it at all, just like I didn't like it in the imp. However, once dry a smoky citrus combined with the almond note of rum. It reminds me of this russian tea candle I had. After two hours, the Baron becomes more citrus-y resin and less smoke. The almond fades to the background and is almost nonexistent. I know this perfume is intended for men, but it did very well on me! My overall impression is that I'm surprised by Baron Samedi. My first thought of the Baron was not flattering. My opinion now is completely different. I think I'm going to do some experiments with this perfume since it's such a good base.

    Euphrosyne

The beginning of Euphrosyne is pure funeral parlor. All gardenia and rose. It's very strong and fills my nose with bad memories. However, I didn't give up. Euphrosyne goes more green and jasmine after twenty minutes or so and actually becomes tolerable. Euphrosyne ends up mellowing to a vanilla-y jasmine. It's really lovely at the four-hour mark. Unfortunately, it burned my neck, so it's not staying.

    Miskatonic University

I have smelled just like a Cinnabon all day. It's fantastic. No dusty books or oak. I am all coffee and creamy, sweet, luscious pastry. I need vast quantities of Miskatonic University, thank you!
