    The Elephant’s Leash

Wet: Very fruity. Almost medicinal. First on: Musk and copal are the predominant notes. Fruit blossoms in the background. Dry: Cherry blossom, copal, and musk. Smells a bit "grandma-y."

There is a Garden in Her Face

Wet: Bright pink rose in full bloom. First on: Still quite rosy, tempered with a touch of honey. Just a little soapy, which doesn’t bode well. Dry: As expected, it went full-on soapy. Think that’s the lilies. Still quite rosy, but the honey is gone.

    Stardust

Wet: A really clean scent. Mainly sandalwood with the faintest hint of champagne. First on: Not quite soap; more like being freshly showered. Crisp and lightly musky. Dry: Sharper and muskier. Rich florals. Don’t like it dry as much as I did when it was first on.

    Dorian in the Pumpkin Patch

Wet: Pure Dorian. No hint of the pumpkin. First on: A bit musky; a hot cup of pumpkin tea. Dry: Settled into the traditional Dorian with just a hint of pumpkin. It’s a beautiful scent.

    Dark Pumpkin Mead

Wet: A thick, rich honey. First on: Maple, mead, and pumpkin come out, playing in the honey. Dry: Warm & delicious. Drinkable. At this point, the blend comes together and aside from honey it’s hard to pick any particular note.

    Lavina

Wet: Crisp green tea; minty and clean. First on: Still minty. Less tea at this point. It’s a bit sharp. Dry: Sharp mint green tea. It’s a nice scent, but I don’t think it’s really me.

    Sylvia

Wet: Spicy, vanilla, and something green in the background. First on: Very spicy and a little musky. Vanilla moves to the background and blows out all the greenness. Dry: In the bottle, I wasn’t sure I’d like this since it was so green; dry on my skin, it’s warm, spicy, and woodsy. Great scent.

    Phasmophobia

Wet: Sharp & astringent–lots of sandalwood. First on: Still pretty sharp. Soapy. A little chilly. Dry: Too much white amber, sandalwood. Too sharp and soapy on my skin.

    Theme in Yellow

Wet: There’s definitely something spicy in this, but the scent is very much of fresh, creamy pumpkin more than it’s about spices. First on: Warm, creamy. Like a delicious-smelling pumpkin-scented candle. Dry: It’s not really a foodie scent, even though it’s obviously a scent about food. What I mean is that it’s not really a dessert scent. It’s more like a warm jack o’lantern with a hint of spice lingering.

    Maison En Pain d’Épices

Wet: Gingery. Sugar. Slight hint of mint and chocolate. First on: Spicy sugar cookies, light and not over-sweet. A background of minty chocolate. Not especially gingery at this point. Dry: The memory of iced gingersnaps.

    Mage

Wet: Resinous; frankincense definitely, but others too. Slight hint of dragon’s blood. First on: Dragon’s blood, frankincense. Burning incense at an occult shop. Dry: Light and foresty incense. The dragon’s blood is gone.

    Black Cherry Amaretto Christmas Puddin'

Wet: WOW, cherry cough syrup. First on: Really nice cherry cough syrup, and sweet as all hell. Liqueur. Dry: Definitely black cherry with vanilla. Quite a bit lighter on my skin. It fades into a spicy plastic scent.

    The Phoenix At Dusk

Wet: Sage, floral…a hint of sweetness. Tea is in there. The scent is very soft. First on: Immediately muted on my skin, but still soft and tealike. Dreamy and quiet. Dry: No throw at all; it’s very subtle. No moss, sage has relaxed, so it’s just sweetly floral, but not overwhelming at all.

    Schwarzer Mond

2011 version: Wet: Myrrh, patchouli, and a strong amber. Sweet. First on: Once on my skin, the patchouli is much stronger. A little overwhelming. Dry: As it’s dried, it’s mellowed out. Still gently sweet. Mostly myrrh and patchouli, but smells a bit like a headshop.

    Baku

Wet: ACK. Afraid to even try it on. What IS that? It’s definitely astringent, but there’s also something else putting me off… First on: Eucalyptus? Whatever it is, it smells weird on my skin. Dry: Just…I don’t even know how to describe it. It’s weird and unsettling.

    Entangled

Wet: Grassy. A little sour. First on: No sweetness, no ginger. Not freshly-mown lawn, just a bit grassy. Dry: Unchanged. An interesting scent, but not a perfume I want to wear.

    Azathoth

Wet: Almost purely cedar. First on: Vetiver and amber laid over a cedar base. Dry: Unchanged. Not a big fan, since cedar inevitably reminds me of hamster bedding.

    Verdandi

Wet: Apple with some depth to it. First on: Very herby apples, with just a little sweetness to them. Dry: The herbs have relaxed into the background, and the amber has come out. It’s like apple amber.

    Egg Nog

2011 version: Wet: A nice, light egg nog scent. Not especially rich. First on: Once it's on me, it's pretty muted. Hard to get a good whiff of it. Dry: Mostly just sugar and cream now–hardly there at all.

    Honey Gingerbread

Wet: Pretty much amazing in the bottle. It’s as if warm gingerbread was drizzled in honey. First on: Still spicy and powerful, but less sweet than in the bottle. Dry: Same. Retains its throw and power. I want to lick myself.

    Lightning

Wet: Aquatic and airy. First on: It’s the smell after a storm. Dry: Fresh & clean. Unisex. Expected it to be astringent from the notes, but it’s not at all. It’s instead beautiful and calm.

    The First Encounter

Wet: Very, very musky jasmine. First on: Still pretty musky, but the floral and fruit scents are popping through together. Dry: Just a little hint of apricot, but mostly the smell is just skin musk on me now.

    Blooming Rose

Wet: Bright roses that are obviously pink. First on: Honey layer over the pretty pink rose scent. Dry: The florals blend a bit more on drydown and the honey mellows out. It’s very pretty.

    Blueberry Peppermint

Wet: Peppermint, with a little fruit in there but I can’t specifically tell it’s blueberry. First on: Unchanged. Dry: Unchanged. I like peppermint well enough, but I need more from a perfume.

    Kitsune-Tsuki

Wet: Plum musk, with a slight hint of flowers. First on: Orchid and jasmine amping. Still a bit musky. Dry: Not bad exactly, but a little old lady-ish.
