    Cardamom & Coconut

I smell like a cookie without the sugar, butter, and foodie notes! It's heavenly coconut and cardamom with the final drydown of light, sweet cardamom. SO GLAD I GOT A BOTTLE!

    The Red Robes

Absolute power in the temporal world: red musk and leather streaked with tomato leaf and tobacco. This is just beautiful. The red musk and tomato leaf blend effortlessly on my skin and the tobacco just hangs back in the cut gently to give this scent some balance. I am glad I ordered a bottle. It is truly wonderful.

    Nag Champa and Neroli

Pungent incense, indeed. It's pungent and dries into something more pungent. I hope with some age the nag champa will come out more and the neroli will mellow out.
  5. [No additional description provided.] I want this. Rum, Patchouli with a hint of dead leaves. And more RUM I love the smell of this!

    Old-Fashioned Satanists

This is my favorite of the Good Omens line. Warm leather, a hint of musk, and something that just smells like a tradition must be kept. I know that's odd, but whatever this note is, it evokes that feeling. I really like Old Fashioned Satanists!

    Harlow's Lace

Teamama is on the nose with her review: sweet cuddly musk, vanilla, lace and tobacco...but on me I get a hint of Juniper for some reason. I really love it!

    Tanuki No Orai

Comings and goings. White peach, golden peach, mango, persimmon, lotus petal, osmanthus, and shishito. Wet: Peach musk. Delicious wet peach. I want to lick my wrist. Drydown: Light peach musk. This really doesn't change much from wet to dry! It is absolutely gorgeous and stays close to my skin once dry. My skin loves to eat this one up so I am going to have slather it on.

    Palo Santo and Frankincense

Wet: Holy frankincense and gorgeous wood. I can see a pale wood in my mind's eye. This reminds of church on a most sacred day. It's strong while wet. Dry: Holy Schnikes.the strength dies down and it mellows out beautifully....it smells like a warm, incensy wooden hug. I could see this as a signature scent if I could wear it year round. This scent is for cold winter nights when you are seeking peace and a little warmth. I love it!

    En Garde

Rum-flavored candies, caramel, pirate tobacco, sugar cane, and vanilla beans. Wet: Rum candies and caramel ahoy!!! With the barest hints of tobacco poking through. Dry: Lovely rum, tobacco, caramel, and vanilla. It is so nice. I am going to let this settle some more so I can decide whether to keep it but so far it is winner!!!

    Absinthe and Lace

Inspired by Edgar Degas' L'Absinthe, and created in the vein of the Dark Delicacies / Black Phoenix lace-themed collaborations. A scent of dissipation and ennui: green cognac and icy absinthe, louched, spilling onto lace that is drooping with neglect and darkened by tobacco smoke. I can't believe I am the first to review this! I will do my best: Wet: Fresh tobacco, absinthe, sugar, and something dark. Drydown: Strong, stomach turning Absinthe. This smells like the real 100% proof Absinthe on my skin. (having had the opportunity to try and drink it..but I couldn't get past the smell) Complete drydown: Absinthe, sugar, and tobacco. This is definitely true to form. Again, it's rare that a perfume evokes an image for me but this surely does: From the Dracula movie with Winona Rider and Gary Oldham when Dracula tells the story of the fairy in the absinthe. This scent evokes that image: dark, sweet, foreboding and mysterious. Beth has out done herself with this scent yet again.

    Iranian Galbanum

IRANIAN GALBANUM Iranian Galbanum possesses a complex tart, green, resinous scent that is strangely amorphous and mercurial. There is a balsamic woody tone to it at times, and at others, it appears metallic and aldehydic. Galbanum corresponds to the Fool and the element Air, and embodies the qualities of innocence and surrender. The scent is calming and meditative; the oil can be utilized for self-reflection, initiating new beginnings, and soothing wounded souls. This is a harsh green, piney, resinous scent. I could smell it all the way from the package. It's like having a pine rubbed in your face with a harsh resin. It is so gross and just blech! I am so glad I got to try it but there is no way I am going to hold onto it.

The Moon Gazed On My Midnight Labours

These thoughts supported my spirits, while I pursued my undertaking with unremitting ardour. My cheek had grown pale with study, and my person had become emaciated with confinement. Sometimes, on the very brink of certainty, I failed; yet still I clung to the hope which the next day or the next hour might realise. One secret which I alone possessed was the hope to which I had dedicated myself; and the moon gazed on my midnight labours, while, with unrelaxed and breathless eagerness, I pursued nature to her hiding-places. Who shall conceive the horrors of my secret toil, as I dabbled among the unhallowed damps of the grave, or tortured the living animal to animate the lifeless clay? My limbs now tremble and my eyes swim with the remembrance; but then a resistless, and almost frantic, impulse urged me forward; I seemed to have lost all soul or sensation but for this one pursuit. It was indeed but a passing trance that only made me feel with renewed acuteness so soon as, the unnatural stimulus ceasing to operate, I had returned to my old habits. The moon gazed on my midnight labours: Moroccan musk, black opium poppy, clove, and orris root. First to review this. So here goes nothing! Wet: Soft but strong musk, which smells almost clean to me. (I guess that's what Morrocan musk smells like) with dry hints of orris. Dry: Musk, barely there clove (which I hope will get stronger with age) and orris root. This scent evokes a dark image for me. It is a scent for those who do bad things in the night, even if they think they are doing those things for the right reason. It's rare for a scent to evoke such an image from me. But this one does. It's purely clean, soft, and there is no poppy here and barely any clove. I see this being a frequently reached for bottle b/c I love the concept and the scent. However, I can see why it was hard on Beth to create scents attributed to the Frankenstein story.

    Kapitelplatz Chess Match

This is a lovely Snake Oil and wood scent. That's all I got. The snow note is subtle and just adds to the beauty of the scent. Bottleworthy.

    Paris Gargoyles

This is such a simply, beautiful scent. Mildly sweet with a hint of stone. This will be needed for the summer months. I love it!

    Haunted Seas

A gleaming glassy ocean Under a sky of grey; A tide that dreams of motion, Or moves, as the dead may; A bird that dips and wavers Over lone waters round, Then with a cry that quavers Is gone—a spectral sound. The brown sad sea-weed drifting Far from the land, and lost; The faint warm fog unlifting, The derelict long tossed, But now at rest—though haunted By the death-scenting shark, Whose prey no more undaunted Slips from it, spent and stark. -Cale Young Rice Seaspray and flecks of foam welling with opoponax and labdanum's sepulchral moans. This smells like grey days on a ship. No wooden floors or tar or pitch. Just the scent of warm grey sea spray and the wind in your face. It's. amazing. This will find a new home in winter and possibly summer rotation this year.

    Fortuna Restitutrix

The Fortunes of Warriors: She Who Restores, She Who Brings the Soldiers Home A hymn for the safety and good fortune for soldiers, and a prayer to bring them home: leather, sweet clove, and olive blossom. This is such an interesting scent! Fresh brown leather, clove, rubbed with Olive blossom. It smells high class. I smell like I imagine a high class 17th century Courtesan would smell after spending a delightful evening with a French Soldier. I don't know what to do with it..but it is fascinating.

The Ghost of a Ghost’s Ghost

I really love this. This is the most unique lavender I have ever smelled from the lab. Bottleworthy for sure.

    The Magician’s Hands

The Magician’s right hand bears the wand of Will aloft, while his left hand points earthward. This is the descent of grace, the act of drawing Divine light and inspiration to the material, mortal realm. Sweet myrrh, calamus, ambrette seed, and Ceylon cinnamon. On wet: Sweet myrrh and juniper mainly. The Ceylon cinnamon keeps the juniper from getting to strong. I am not the biggest fan of this one. I am glad I got the decant, I won't need a bottle. The final dry down is sweet myrrh with hints of cinnamon and juniper. Pass.

    Fifth Lash

This is quite nice. The leather isn't black but not shiny red patent leather. Finally...a red leather I can handle.
  22. Dark Alice

    The Orange Chamber Atmosphere Spray

King mandarin, orange blossom, blood orange, leather, and teakwood. Straight up fresh orange juice with blood orange and wood. NO orange blossom or leather...just oranges. Fresh ones too. I don't know how Beth Does it, but she is AMAZING.
  23. Obscenely gooey. This is obscenely delicious. Sweet and salty kettle corn with a hint of cinnamon. I want to eat this...not smell like it. But it is glorious.

All is Silent Save the Voice of the Clock

This is a dead ringer for Purple Swallow tail on me. It's hard pass as I already have that glorious scent in my possession.
  25. Dark Alice

Dead Leaves, Sweet Oakmoss, White Sage, and Chaparral

This is gorgeous. The sage plays nicely, there is a smoky sweet quality to this and I LOVE IT! I need a few more decants to fill my partial.
