When I first put this on, I got a lemon or soap note? No idea where it came from. Upon drying, it definitely warms up, but stays close to the skin with the small testing amount.

I don't get much amber from the small amount I tested on my wrist. It's a soft leather, with minimal throw and wear (again from a small sample).

...I sniffed my arm and literally said 'rowr'. I didn't care for it layered with Catherine (which I like on its own).

On me this is *incredibly* strong, just from a small test spot. I'm not able to pick out what the fruit is, and the wax/plastic note comes across to me as coconut, which I don't care for. I had to scrub this off right away.

Have I been testing combos? Yes. Did I take notes? No. So you just get today's. Neutral Evil Drow: The opium double punch died down really quickly. The Neutral smoothed everything out into a wear-anywhere gender-neutral (ha) blend. It was nice, but not outstanding enough to warrant wrestling with applying three different scents. Now to try all the previous keepers with Thieves Rosin!

Neutral Drow: Oh, this is a really nice combo!

Goose Moon: Brandied Cherry and Labdanum
white_jenna63 replied to doomsday_disco's topic in Duets & Menage A Trois
Apologies for the vague review, but it's been a while since I tested it. It's cherry forward at first, but becomes more balanced as it goes. It reminds me of another BPAL but I can't place it. Definitely a winner, though!- 2 replies

There's a bright burst of red, juicy fruit on first application, but that fades quickly. What remains is a faint tinge of red over a creamy vanilla. This is sticking really close on me with a small test spot. Definitely a keeper!

Drow Bard: Oh, this combo is lovely! The honey note in Bard adds sweetness.
-
Neutral Aasimar: Pretty much what it says on the bottle re: the notes. Aasimar Bard: Ew, no, sweet powder. Had to wash it off. This is aged Bard, I think it might be an imp of the original release. I also think it's safe to say that I'm amping powder notes these days.
-
Oof. This was just too strong for me, even with just a little drop.

This is very bright and sweet! Not at all the heavy incense I was expecting.

Beaver Moon: Blackberry and Tobacco Absolute

Alas, I never got the tobacco in this until I tried to scrub it off. On me, it was strong berry all the time.- 5 replies

This is a very sweet cherry on me that never veers into candy/artificial territory.

I'd forgotten what notes this year's was, so it was a surprise. It was a blast of cheesecake while wet, and that was gone within seconds, never to return. What remains is a dark cherry berry covered in a dark dry chocolate. This is giving me Luper box o' chocolates vibes. Very glad I took a chance on it! I can still smell it seven hours later, after a very small testing application. Minimal throw with said application.

I get sweet chestnut while wet, and then it's all champaca all the time. Yea, even after showering. This was a very small amount to test, and it's got throw *and* staying power.

When I read the notes on the label before testing, I thought maybe I had requested the wrong Lash. I love vanilla, but I don't wear gourmand, and I don't care for pine. Regardless, that is indeed what I had ordered, and I was SO pleasantly surprised! On me, there's a burst of sweet and then it settles into a huffably gorgeous clean unisex scent. It's not soapy, mind you, but fresh and sweet. I don't think I could pick out notes beyond that. I want to bathe in this.

Caramel Apple Ginger Ale Float

I continue to be amazed and delighted that the Lab can produce such a true fizzy note. On me, it's mostly fizz and sweet, without much apple.- 6 replies

Out of all the NYCC scents, this one was Christmas Candle on first application. I definitely got a 'sweet' note, but I couldn't have id'd it as donut.
-
I definitely got the butter note with this one.

Agreeing that this is the most apple-y of the bunch! On me, it's very soft, but I also applied lightly for testing.

Satan Presiding at the Infernal Council

This is surprisingly wearable for the notes! Yeah it's dark and infernal, but it's also warm and subtle. I tested a *very* small amount and it's almost gone within a couple hours.- 3 replies

OMG, this is gorgeous! It opens up with a blast of dark fruit and then goes to what I can only describe as old school GC BPAL. Like the first boxes of imp packs I used to get, when I was figuring out what I liked. It dries down to sweet and smoky and wearably dark. It lasted for several hours before I tried to wash it off, and it resisted the first wash pretty much untouched. If you're curious, I definitely recommend checking this one out.
