    Blood Moon Full Lunar Eclipse

A sweet red musk. You can definitely smell the pom, although I'm not able to identify it as such, just sweet fruit. I never got much of the woods or incense. There was very little throw, surprising for a red musk blend. Definitely a keeper; hopefully the woods and incense will come out more as it ages and give it some depth.

    Chaos Theory VII: Oriental

These scents possess sensual, languid bases, including amber, benzoin, tonka, balsams, and dark, warm vanillas. #151 In the bottle: cherry cough syrup. Wet and dry: maybe closer to pomegranate than cherry? A touch of something else, maybe a darker wood? Incredibly faint; I can barely smell it with my nose pressed to my skin.

    Chaos Theory VII: Oriental

#193 Citrus industrial cleanser. There might be some white musk in here, and maybe a resin/incense that's going powdery on me.

    Chaos Theory VII: Gourmand

#245 A couple of the reviews for this on LJ compared it to Antikytheria (sp?) Mechanism and I definitely get that. Vanilla, wood, tobacco, maybe some patch. A little sharp for my taste, so I gave it to my husband (I gave him AM as well) and it smells INCREDIBLE on him.

    Chaos Theory VII: Animalic

#65 In the imp, smells like Siberian musk. I compared it to my SN, and they're very similar. Within the first minute, there's a burst of root beer fizziness (as compared to gin/champagne fizz). What came to mind next was bubblegum, but more of the texture than the exact smell. "Fluff" was closer, like Velvet Unicorn, but without the blast of pink. There was a brief moment of more of a vanilla feel, then it was a very soft Siberian musk for the next hour. Very little throw, esp. considering I use just a dot of the SN. After about an hour, the sweet non-foody depth poked its head out a little more.

    Chaos Theory VII: Fougere

#36 Yup, that's a fougere, all right. There's some non-foody spicy-ness in the wet phase, and it's warm for a fougere, but not really distinctive. Very faint traces twelve hours later, didn't have a lot of throw.

    One Pale Woman

    Bubble gum and conversation hearts.

    Brown Thrasher

I get the butterscotch rum at the beginning, but then alas, it goes to a sweet powder on me. I really had high hopes for this one, and I'm not sure which note is the culprit. Will see if it works better on my husband.

    Chaos Theory V: Recursive Self-Similarity v2

CXXI Whoops, I never did review this. I got a decant of this years ago. It's almost Pez like at first; fruity and dusty. For some reason I'm thinking passionfruit, although I have no idea if that's accurate or not. After dry down, there's definitely roses in here somewhere. It's been so long since I tried O itself that I can't compare it to the original.

    Luna By Luna

I got Zankoku Zen's imp of Luna (thank you!!) and it is truly lovely. I don't get jasmine (death note for me). It's fruity ylang-ylang and musk. I don't know if it's truly "Luna", but it's a fantastic blend.

    Shy

Pink carnation, spun sugar, white pear, peach blossom, and vanilla bean. I was so incredibly excited to see that there were MLP scents! And, I do adore We Love Fine products, so I splurged, and got Shy. In the imp, it's carnation, not too spicy, with a little bit of sugar, and just a touch of pear. Wet, it stays about the same; sweet "pink" floral. I don't think I would know peach blossom as a single note, and the vanilla doesn't come out until dry down. Three hours later, there's still not much throw (appropriate, you *know* Fluttershy wouldn't want that) and it continues to be a soft carnation vanilla. Note: this came on a card, without a label.

    RPG Combos

Chaotic Evil Paladin: Meh. I can definitely smell the individual fragrances, but they really don't blend well together. Chaotic Evil Elf Paladin: Yes, this. The Elf adds a sweetness and berry-ness to it, and it is lovely. I've noticed with all the layerable scents that when they work, they *really* work.

    RPG Combos

Three combos today. Evil Elf: Reminds me of Poison, which my mom wore back in the day. I think she would have liked this. Doesn't stick around for very long, though. Evil Paladin: I don't care for this wet; it doesn't really seem to go together, which makes sense given the concept. Much better as it dries down, but not incredible. Chaotic Evil Elf: Wow! This combo really amps the wild berry and/or black plum notes. I think I like this the best out of the three I tried today.

    RPG Combos

Tried Chaotic Evil this morning. Definitely an improvement over Evil on its own. Still a little more "pefumy" than I would prefer, but will definitely remember it for the future.

Satan Talks to Sin and Death

Oh, I think this could have been such a lovely scent. And such a fantastic name. I got the Siberian musk single note and fell in love with it. Love musks, lily, tiare, white tea is okay.....and the violets come in and stomp everything out. At the end the gorgeous musks do manage to peak out, offering a hint at what could have been. Could have been so beautiful.....yeah, it's time for bed.

    Red Pumpkin Floss

I'm not a big fan of pumpkin, but I was hoping the other notes would be predominate. VERY strong pumpkin on first application. Then it morphs into something terrible. Almost like there was a baked goods/vomit note? Had my arms not been full of laundry, I would have washed it off immediately. The cherry and plum finally started coming out more, but this is so not a blend for me.

    Pumpkin V

I find this very similar to Pumpkin Lattes of years past.

    Pandemonium

Yup, definitely smoky musk to start out with. Very dark. And then it gets weirdly herbal.Doesn't last long at all for such a dark blend. Not for me, will see if it plays nicer with the husband.

    Fallen Angels in Hell

Looking back, I'm not quite sure why I got this one. The name, maybe? 'Cause besides the amber and frankincense, I would pass on the rest of the notes. On first sniff, I definitely get the scorched/sulphur at the back of my throat. It's actually very difficult to sniff for awhile, and then it dries down to ginger. And with the exception of Kumiho, that's not a note that I care for. And I'm still trying to remember that when I make my selections.

    Die Sundë, Vom Tod Verfolgt

Okay, I don't know if it was the orchid or fig leaf that kept me from ordered a full decant instead of the half, but I'm kicking myself now. This is GORGEOUS. Have seen others say it's a dirty skin scent, and that's an accurate description. I get a...burnished gold feel from it, not bright or shiny, but the honey and resins are definitely there. It eventually dries down to "sexy dryer sheets" and is still so yummy. Definitely think this would be good on the husband, but I am greedy and keep the LEs that work on me for myself.

    Autumn Cider

So, I had high hopes for this blend, despite not keeping Lambs-wool or Fearful Pleasure. I love BPAL's apple scents, like The Hesperides, Poisoned Apple, and Candy Corn Coated Candy Apple. They can do *real* apple, which always runs the risk of turning into Yankee candle or potpourri. Unfortunately, that's what happened here. It started out as apple juice, definitely liquid as opposed to the fruit itself. Maybe a *little* bit of the citrus. Lots of throw, could smell it on my wrists while driving. After about a half hour, the spices started coming out, and that's when it went candle-y. Got a little bit of the sweetness at that point, but never really got the butterscotch.

The Golden Apple Of The Sun

In the imp, this is bright spicy apple with a little bit of fizz. Upon application....down, hibiscus/champaca flower!! Bad florals!!! Bad, down, back, down!! Yeah, unless some spicy apple comes out soon, this ain't a keeper....

The Glittering Apple Of The Stars

So, google tells us that "Malus" is the genus name for apples. Yay, knowledge! Upon first application, this is apple with white florals. Not the most familiar with florals, but I think I'm getting the ylang ylang more than anything. Really hoping they don't dominate this.... As it's drying down, there's still apple, but now there's lovely musk and whichever floral came out first is fading back. Not very strong at all. The vanilla finally comes out at complete dry down. Overall a very nice sweet apple scent, will definitely be keeping it.

    Blood Moon 2011

Okay, I don't think I would have ordered this if it was on its own (as opposed to tossing it into the Weenie cart). I like Poe okay, but not enough to grab something just because it has his name on it (heck, I haven't tried any Last Unicorn scents after the first round). And really, I couldn't tell you what this blend would smell like. "Linen" tends to be a no-no for me in the real world of candles and dryer sheets, but the Lab's is okay. Tobacco musk...okay, I'll give it a try. But yeah, no idea what it's gonna smell like. .....it smells like perfume. I'm still trying to figure out what notes say "perfume" to me, but this is a well blended commercial perfume, without the alcohol. It's sophisticated, and I can't pick out any individual notes. I don't know how much I'll wear it, but I'll definitely be keeping it.

    Regina Erebi

Holy mulberry, Batman! This jumps out of the imp and assaults you with dark purple yumminess. I actually get a little bit of the mint when it's wet, and then a slight scary potpourri stage. That fades. However, then it's generic red/purple pillar candles. Meh.
