    Ectoplasm

On wet application - it almost smells cold. Kind of smells like fresh lemon italian ice. There is a powdery feel to it. As it starts to dry it warms up a bit and that initial blast of coldness goes away. It becomes very bright and sunny, sweet but not tart. The oakmoss and davana add an herbal sweetness to it. They balance nicely. Not sure I've ever tried white amber before. I think it just adds a slight clean muskiness to it and gives it some depth. It's not heavy at all. Very clean, bright, lemony and refreshing. Would be wonderful to wear in the summer. ETA - After a couple of hours wear - this scent just gets better and better. I think the amber comes out more and all the notes just mesh together and turn into pure awesomeness on my skin. Getting a bottle of this one for sure.

    Spirit Board

On wet - Sweet pink roses and tea. The tea note is really coming through on me and I'm quite happy about that as I love tea. You can smell the woods deepening the scent. Not sure if I get much lilac at this stage. On drydown - The woods gain some strength and balance out with the roses and tea. The lilacs come into play a little bit more. This is a gorgeous blend of red/rose woods, sweet pink roses, lilacs, and tea. It makes me think of spring as there is a lightness to this scent. Not light in throw, but light in feel. That being said, I could see wearing this year round as well. Very pretty. Sweet pink rose tea!

    Gelt

2014 version - In the bottle it smells like pure melty milk chocolate heaven. On the skin I get that same milk chocolate note along with the amber that just gives it some depth and longevity. It pretty much stays heavy on the chocolate with a touch of the amber for hours. When I first put this on it stays close to the skin, but as I wear it I believe the scent becomes a little stronger. This is very much in line with my 2010 decant, and I was happy to add a full sized bottle to my collection this year. Glad it stays true to my original experience with the scent
  4. Hmm - tramp had patchouli, no? And it had a grassy earthiness to it to, right? What about Burial? "The Dark Side of Earth: deep, brooding forest scents, including juniper and patchouli. The scent of upturned cemetery loam mingling with floral offerings to the dead." I'd say Greed is worth a try as well. Maybe also Ranger from the RPG series - "Untamed wilderness: buckskin accord with Terebinth pine, Russian birch, black ironwood, elder bark, hay, armoise, juniper, patchouli, galangal root, Spanish moss, and cabreuva." There is also the Potter's Field - that one doesn't have patch though and you can't just get an imp's worth to try. Just guessing though as I never really got into Tramp and I haven't really tried the above. Just going off notes here.

    Strawberry Sufganiyot

If you love the lab's strawberry note and like foodie sweet scents - get yourself a bottle of this! In the bottle - it smells like sweet sugary strawberry jam. I wanted to drink it! On the skin, the dough note comes out a bit more but stays even with the strawberry jelly note. I also get a hint of the powdered sugar note on the dry down. This is fantastic. Decent throw and lasts for several hours.

    Winter-Time

2014 version - This is a hard scent to describe. I have a 2010 decant though and finally broke down this year to buy a bottle. It's a soft vanilla powder type scent in both versions. Like what you would imagine freshly fallen snow would smell like if it really had a scent. In the 2014 version I can smell a hint of possibly spearmint which gives it a little more of a fresh cold edge. There also seems to be a slight woodiness to it as well. Not sure if the mint/wood was around in the 2010 version and then just died down with age or not as I don't tend to get those from that version. Overall this scent reminds me of a quiet winter night during a snow storm. Decent throw without being overwhelming.

Who do I email with questions? BPAL/BPTP contact info

Totally understandable. I did end up using the contact form on the site (just to be on the safe side) and got a response back tonight that my issue has been resolved and my missing bottle is on the way.

Who do I email with questions? BPAL/BPTP contact info

I emailed yesterday as one of the bottles was wrong in my order. I'm hoping that they just go ahead and sent out the bottle I originally ordered as it's a Weenie bottle. I really don't want it to disappear in the meantime. Not sure if no response is normal or not? I think I had an issue with my order going missing one time back probably two years ago. I emailed them, didn't get a response, but a new package showed up about a week or so later. Wish at the least an acknowledgement would be sent so we know it's being taken care of.

Fettered in the Shackles of the Drug

This reminds me a lot of Carnival Diabolique. On my skin, both produce a lemony opium smoke scent. I think the anise sweetens this up a little after the first hour or so. The anise is not very strong though and the opium dominates on me.

    Bewildered in a Dream

Herbal lavender tea with a suggestion of mint. There is a sharpness to it, either from the lavender or maybe that's the green tea. Very low throw on me - stays close to the skin. Pretty, but a bit too light for me I think.

    Living

I will preface this by saying I'm not a fan of aquatics. But I wanted to try it out anyway cause I'll try pretty much anything that has rose in it. This is strongly aquatic on me. The water note dominates on my skin. It's a bright clean scent - almost a bit like dryer sheets or linens being dried in the sun. I am getting a floral note to this but it's subtle and I can't really pick out what it is. Sunny soapy clean laundry smelling.

A Rosy Colour Paints Her Claws With Honor

On initial application I get a blast of fresh rose and can't detect much else. As this scent dries down the rose backs off and the geranium comes forward. It stays that way for a bit and then slowly the vanilla and red musk come in to play. After a couple hours this is a nice mix of geranium, vanilla, and the musk with maybe a small hint of rose way in the background. This one has some good throw too. A little goes a long way.

    Sell me on patchouli?

If you like dirt and rose, you must try Zombi. It's one of my all time faves. This is the second topic I've seen whip mentioned in this morning and I've never tried it. That one sounds awesome. I wonder if I already have an imp of it that I've overlooked. Need to check...otherwise that might have to go on my future order wishlist. Oh and also for the rose scent - in the yules update - keep your eye out for Rose Red and Peacock Queen. Rose red was unfortunately all stems on me but Peacock Queen is the most gorgeous rose scent.

    Dorian

Mmm, Dorian. On me it smells like lavender tea blended with a soft vanilla musk. I get a hint of sweet lemon in this as well. This is hands down my favorite BPAL scent. If I'm going to be having a stressful day, I like to wear this scent because it really calms me down. It's comforting, cozy and just so good. I'd bathe in this if I could but fortunately just a small amount lasts all day on me and the scent stays true. Definitly a scent I would never want to be without. :love!:

How to make a paypal order.

Don't feel too bad because I did the same thing yesterday on my first order. I didn't think anything of it since it's listed as an option in CCNow during checkout. I didn't notice the statement on the site regarding Paypal until today. At least we know it should go through okay and I know not to use CCNow for Paypal next time.
