    The Death of Autumn

It smells like the dead, wet, disintegrating leaves and fallen blooms around my camellia bushes right now. Forest floor muskiness. But the khus, saffron and clove are drier and spicier than that. Clove comes out more on wear but that note doesn’t get too strong for me. The khus etc bring to mind Old Spice notes but the camellia and amber give it a little roundness. A+ for evoking winter/fall but I’m still trying to decide how much I like it.

    Velvet

I prefer this to a pure chocolate scent, though I understand why wood might be jarring to some people. It does blend well enough. That's a really nice dark cocoa. My only complaint is that it goes very faint on the drydown for me. I'll use it for layering with Misketonic U and other scents that could use a splash of warm cocoa and sandalwood.

    Sidewalk Apples

Apple spiced with dead leaf and concrete. October never worked on me, but this is good. Unless you really can’t stand dead leaves in any amount, this is lovely.

    Black Eyeliner

No question, this is a big flask of liquid kohl and sweet vinyl. Seems like it would be too chemical for me, but I love the wood that joins in, providing some contrast for the darker chemical elements. I want to try layering this one with Clown White or Datura SN

    La Calavera Catrina

2025: Pink fruity roses against a backdrop of chamomile, the lab’s marigold and a few dead but not yet dry leaves. But mostly roses. The roses keep the bitter elements in line. I agree with the Harvest Moon 13 comparison. This is comforting.

    Every Day is Halloween

2015: I could see this as an expensive candle or room scent with a name like “white pumpkin.” It reminds me of a really good pumpkin spice latte mix I got once, (though unlike the Pumpkin Spice Latte scent from years ago I tried, this is way lighter on cinnamon and nutmeg.) The sandalwood is keeping it balanced: a candle like this would probably go too far into vanilla cream sugar territory, but the foody sweetness is held back here. It is in fact basic, but like vanilla it seems to be something that would blend into all situations and be popular for good reason.

    Flor De Muerto

A little bit like chrysanthemum, or as Assymbia said marigolds without stems. I could also see chamomile, honeysuckle and some pale amber for a sweet background element that’s like hand lotion. This is a wan sunshine yellow. It does feel like autumn to me, though I’m used to warm autumns.

    Dark Macademia

Beeswax, but also tobacco comes out because of skin heat. It’s a fruity tobacco with ash and there’s the sense of a big leather chair and a macadamia biscotti. Cozy, but I don’t know if I need a full bottle. As an atmosphere spray I’d definitely be interested though

    Hearse of Pancakes

Amazing. Exactly what it says it is. Doughnut maple buckwheat coffee. It reminds me of Secret Doughnuts a little but with a nice dark coffee. Unlike a lot of coffee blends this has some real strength on me. Coffee can sometimes get a little powdery too and it’s doing that but it’s still so delicious I don’t care. This is my favorite of the Weenies and I’m just sad I never got to try the atmo.

    Witch Flash

In the bottle I got shifting scents: ink, something burgundy and resinous, and a mildewed gritty floor-patchouli that almost stopped me from trying this. (Sorcerous roots?) Luckily, it’s a lot milder on. It’s mostly something dark and matte my brain wants to see as a mild patchouli (but it probably involves vetiver). Ink I recognize from The Illustrated Woman comes out with a bit of scorched scent. Not smoky but hot metal and a hint of scorched skin. Only a faint hint. A bit of resin. This is largely a flat scent. Edit: I’m getting warm crayon.

    Plastic Rats

Gray licorice, yep. The amber gives it a perfume edge that is almost salty. Sweet, spicy, salty. The black pepper plays well with other notes. I already have a couple licorice scents, but this is unique. The other notes enhance everything I like about licorice/fennel. I’m not really getting plastic rats, though this does remind me of how a squeezed plastic rat sounds. Just in smell form. Yeah.

    Gothic Gatekeeper

Black vinyl and nag champa. The champa isn't going soapy on me like it does sometimes. The vinyl gives the scent an overall plastic smoothness. Not burnt plastic. Smells like a vintage shop. If memory serves there's a hint of Manic Panic in the air too. if you like Snooty Bat but don’t like the leather or clove this might be your thing.

    Secret Donuts

Certainly doughnuts, with regular and chocolate glaze. I get a cider note? There's almost a perfumy edge to it, but to me this enhances the scent rather than clashing with the food.

    Pink Cupcake

I was hoping for more cake, but this smells mostly like strawberry swirled with cream flavored hard candy. Will revisit later. A Few Moments Later: Ok, that's a plausible cake. I'm seeing the kind that's pink all the way through rather than red velvet. Layering this with Guttering Candle.

    Miskatonic University

I only get a whiff of coffee in the vial. On, it’s all butterscotch all the time. Maybe a little oak, like it was decanted from a barrel . Not bad for fall actually and good layered with Velvet

    Lightning Moon 2025

A trace of smokiness from the opium, rain slick ozone. A balsamic note from the frankincense wrapped in white musk against incense and violet. The violet isn’t purely powdery but it isn’t not-powdery either. This is a bolt of white against pale purple and gloom. At one point the star jasmine takes center stage. It’s not bad, certainly not cat pee, but it is making the scent The Jasmine show, starring Little White Florals. The jasmine is trying to play all the roles and it smells pretty unimpressive. Then it’s back to resins and violet.

    Lich, I'm Fabulous Hair Gloss

Champa and scorched incense. The champa isn’t soapy on me. Dry, cozy and the moss stops this from being overwhelming. Moss can take over scents on me so I’ll see how this goes, but I’m considering a full bottle.

    Goblin Fashion Designer

Goblin fashion design smells like cherries. This is probably due to my nose and the way that cherries and dragon's blood overwhelm me in most scents where they appear. (Or where cherry adjacent scents like almond appear). I have no idea where the cherry is coming from but there it is. This reminds me of Chaotic, but this isn't as loud and it's also quite sweet. I can't confirm because I don't have the imp anymore. Kind of a cherry cordial. If there's leather it's held in place firmly by cherries and musk. There is really some dark musk at play here. I can sense this scent has several parts to it, different textures deep down, but again, cherry overwhelm. Will update as the scent dies down. It reminds me of Madame Sharn, the fancy dwarf fashion designer from Prachett's Unseen Academicals.

    Schwarzer Mond

One of the darkest scents. More literally dark than emotionally “dark” to me personally. Somewhat balsamic without smelling piney. Patchouli is certainly dark here but not gnarly root patchouli. I get a night time bedroom, full of darkness with pinstriped navy blue wallpaper or pajamas. That says nothing but it’s the best way to describe what I get. Dark, dark, dark, but the kind of darkness you might go to sleep in.

    Chartreuse Dragon

Gorgeous in vial, sunlight-dappled lime green. Citrus can get sharp on me but this is lovely. My experience is that lime normally disappears early and moss takes over scents but we'll see. On my skin, very slightly soapy. Moss with herbs and citrus, really getting the sense of mossy rocks.

    Dangers Untold

A soap bubble. Not super acrid, kind of fruity. Opens into hairspray, a big fancy dress, makeup (especially berry scented lipstick).Artificial and fancy

    Suave Gravedigger

If you told me this was a cowboy themed scent, I would believe it. I get gently dusty suede with unobtrusive clove cologne. The dust is limestone like and clean smelling. Nice, but I'm not rugged enough for this. On the drydown my skin turns this into a light, slightly musky butterscotch.
  23. Pizza crust. I can even smell the cornmeal on the bottom to stop it from sticking. I can smell places where it’s slightly but not quite burnt. I can smell a thin ring of tomato sauce around the edge. my skin seems to eat this which is a shame because it’s surprisingly wearable. All sweet yeasty salty olive oil bread and herbs without notable garlic, yet still smelling like pizza. I smell delicious and I don't want to be right either.

    Hungry Ghost Moon 2025

Immediately honeyed beeswax, which gives way to a dominant white musk and also the scent of oregano if oregano could be ghostly white. Occasionally there's a bit of cardboard and yeast blending into the beeswax. Like frizzlechicken said, very summer-to-fall I thought that the honey, white musk and pizza would be weird together and it kind of is, but it's not offputting. Occasionally I get ghostly oregano pizza, occasionally I get a floral-like honey/white musk. It's nice.

The Sixth and Seventh Books of Moses

I love myrrh. Also I’ve tried a lot of book scents and they tend to vanish pretty quickly or generally be underwhelming as scents. I get a lot of ink here, though it’s hard to distinguish from myrrh. I want to say this is industrial, except it doesn’t smell as artificial as something like Smokestack or even Streets of Detroit . I do get parchment too. This gives me the image of someone tossing parchment into a field of smoldering incense. I love it but it does smell unsettlingly like, well, a strongly worded letter of condemnation from someone Biblical.
