    India Bouquet

Bottle (Imp): Ooh, fresh scent. I can't identify what, just that it's fresh. Just On: Wood. I smell wood shavings. Lots and lots of wood. I don't know if I like it or not, but I keep smelling it, so it's not bad. It reminds me of the days when I didn't know that wood chips were bad for rodents, and used to use aspen shavings to keep the small furries in. An hour or two later: There's still wood there, but some flowers or something are coming out to play. And some seasonings, as if I were cooking something spicy. I like that. Around 6 hours: This has become a skin scent, which doesn't happen with every scent. It's also very faded, so will probably have to be reapplied often. Just a little bit left, smells spicy woodsy. 12 hours: Nothing is left, and I kinda wish it was. Overall: I think this is a keeper. It just feels pretty good to wear, and I rather like wood scents when they aren't evergreen woods. Wasn't too sure about it, but it's working for me, so I'm not complaining. The spices were nice, and I enjoyed it fairly well. After reading other reviews: I certainly didn't get the anise the way everyone else did. I can understand the curry, and such, because that was probably the spices I was smelling. I can't vouch for the use of it other than to smell nice, but I like the smell, so I"m willing to test it out for that too.

    Bon Vivant

Bottle (Imp): This smells rather sharp and biting. I don't really get much sweetness out of it at all. It smells rather like a sharp wine. Just On: As soon as it hits my skin, the sharpness fades just a little, and I get some sweetness coming forth. Strawberry sweetness. Now it smells like strawberries and champagne, and I could certainly deal with that on a regular basis. An hour or two later: It's a little more champagne, and a little less strawberries now, but I still like the strawberry parts. It's less sharp now, but still has some bite to it. Around 6 hours: It almost smells like flowers mixed in there with the champagne and strawberry, but it's not much, so I could be imagining it. I rather like this, but it's not jumping into the top list as quickly as some of the others. There's really not much sharpness left to it 12 hours: It did pretty much fade away. Just hints of strawberries left, with a barely distinguishable bit of champagne, and there isn't any bite left to it at all. Overall: I like it, but not as much as I expected to from the description. I'm very happy I got to try it, and it does smell very much like the description. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to love me as much as I wanted to love it. After reading other reviews: I didn't get bubble gum, or as much sweet strawberries as I wanted. I do like it, but I'm not bowled over by it. I would rather have gotten the sweetness that others got.

    Helping Hand

Bottle (Imp): Ooh, minty. Yes, very minty. A lot like after dinner mints without the creamy/butter/sweetness. Just On: Wow, lots of minty freshness in here. Not like toothpaste (although I guess it COULD be). Just a nice pure mint scent. It smells like what I would imagine peppermint single note would be. An hour or two later: Now there is something else coming forth to dance with the mint. I rather like the mix. Around 6 hours: Now it's faded mint, and other things I can't identify, but not bad things. It's almost like old mints, past their prime, but in a good way. 12 hours: It ends up fading mostly gone by this point, so I can't say I still smell it, but I can smell the memory of it, if that makes any sense. Overall: This not only smells good, but I can see some major potential in using it as a trigger for some spellwork. Use it in ritual, then wear it for better effectiveness when I can't be all "booga booga" and dance around naked (please don't think I'm disrespecting spellwork, but it's not like you can start casting full out rituals in court or anything). I wouldn't mind getting a hold of more of this so that I can put it to magickal use. After reading other reviews: Sounds like I'm not the only one who sees potential with it, and like it as well. Matter of fact, I'm putting some on today, not only to smell good, but because I've had a HORRID day so far (and I've only been up for 3 hours!) and I want it to go better. I already feel a little better (mint is usually a good uplifting scent for me). And at least I can't lose the debit card TWICE in a day.

Bridal BPAL - BPAL for weddings?

Since my wedding is a bit farther off, I have some times left to figure out what I think will work. As it stands right now, my first choice would probably be The Living Flme, which it the only "pure" floral I can wear. Antique Lace would run a close second, with Chaste Moon in there as well. Other choices would be: Midway (Okay, I admit it, I would so consider that becoming my signature scent), Wolf Moon, Calliope, or Helping Hand (maybe).

    The Living Flame

Bottle (Imp): Ooh! Sweet. And fresh. Maybe flowers, but just a bit? 2nd try: Yup, I do smell flowers. But it's mostly sweet and fresh. Just On: A little bit of sharpness, a hint of flowers, freshness, a sense of the sweetness still. 2nd Try: Sweet flowers with that sharp tinge that I can't identify. An hour or two later: A really sweet floral scent that I like! (If you've read my reviews, you'll know I don't often care much for floral scents.) Rather heady, not quite intoxicating. 2nd Try: I can't believe I smell like flowers, and I like it! This rocks. Around 6 hours: A flowery, powdery smell that I quite like. I could certainly get to like this one! 2nd Try: I'm already planning to get more of this. The flowers turn to a very flowery powder that smells wonderful. 12 hours: It's almost all gone, but it lasted quite a while, and it never went all flower-yuck on me, which is awesome. I've wanted something full of flowers that *I* could wear, and it seems this is it. Doesn't it always figure that the discontinueds, LE's, and otherwise unavailable ones appeal to me the most? It leaves a faint hint of powder at this point, which is till good for me. 2nd Try: Yes, this fades into a beautiful powder, and I really want to smell this more often. Overall: I really like this, and I'll be hoarding this scent as much as I can, because it's the first floral that I can truly wear all the way through. Of course all I get from The Mate is, "It's nice," as usual, but I'm resigned to the fact that he just doesn't appreciate the precious. Matter of fact, I just made a deal to buy a big bottle, and I may seek out another. I would have expected cinnamon, clove, smoke, all kinds of things, but not sweet flowers that WORKED ON ME!!! After reading other reviews: I didn't get musk or vanilla or amber or berry or anything besides flowers, and for once, I don't mind. This is the perfume I wanted when I was single, and wanted to smell really good and confident and sweet and all that when I went out, but couldn't find in the department store crap.

    Severin

Leopold von Sacher-Masoch, the Father of Masochism and sexual surrender, had planned on writing six volumes of erotic literature entitled The Heritage of Cain. Only the first two volumes were completed, the more famous of the two being the notorious Venus in Furs. This novel tells the tale of a man, Severin, that enters into a relationship of slavery and increasingly debauched degradation with his mistress, Wanda. Dry black teas, Earl Gray, and leather. Bottle (Imp): Ooh, that's a very different scent. Sweet, tart, astringent-y? I'll have to try it. Just On: Uh oh, astringent and bandaids. The bandaids seem to be fading though. I think I'm getting some citrus in here. An hour or two later: It's almost gone, and I still do get some whiffs of bandaids (but not used ones). My skin seems to have soaked up everything sweet in it and left me with a bandaid smell, just like I put a bandaid on moments ago. Around 6 hours: Now it's almost all gone, with that last bit of fresh bandaid scent. Let me explain the bandaid here. This is not old crappy smelly bandaids, just one that has been opened and JUST applied to the skin. It's not something I'd want to wear alot or something, but it's not awful either. 12 hours: It mostly faded, and that's okay with me. This doesn't jump into my top list, but I'm very happy I got to try it. I'm going to try a bit in the lamp warmer tonight, because it smells rather nice in the bottle (gifted shorty bottle). Overall: I think it's okay, but I'm not in a hurry to pay for more. I'm extremely grateful to the forumite who gifted this to me, and if I don't feel more happy happy joy joy about it in the lamp warmer tonight, I'll be gifting it to someone unsuspecting. After reading other reviews: I certainly didn't get the lemon everybody talked about, and I didn't really get a hint of leather or tea. Just giving it a shot in the warmer might give me those things better though. I'm rather surprised based on the description that I don't love this (well, more like it didn't love me). I do see now that it was the bergamot that I smelled that was tart and sweet (I think).

    Gingerbread Poppet

Bottle (Imp): Ginger snaps with ... cumin??? No wait, ground chili powder. Or cumin. Wow, I think I like this, and that sounds like it's horrible, but it's really not. Putting this on now. Just On: Yes, it's chili powder with cumin in it, poured over gingersnap cookies. I can't keep my nose away from myself. I'm totally loving this scent. And it's not available anymore? Wahhhhhhhh! An hour or two later: The chili powder/cumin part has faded, and it smells like gingerbread men fresh from the oven. It's wonderful. I wouldn't have minded if the chili/cumin smell had stayed, THAT might get The Mate's attention for once. But this is really sweet and nice as well. Around 6 hours: Hmm, a little bit of the chili pepper scent is back. This one is certainly going up into the top ten of scents I love. 12 hours: Barely there ginger cookies, and I wish this could stick around forever. Overall: It's top ten material for sure. This I would look for more bottles of if I can get them at a reasonable price. If not, I'll settle for a catalog scent that I love instead. My cat was licking my wrist, so I rather assume he liked the smell of it too. After reading other reviews: Apparently I am the only person who gets a chili type smell out of this, but I don't mind it a bit. It must just be a blend of the spices that does it to me, because I don't think it really HAS those things, just smells like them. I agree with the others who've said they hope it comes back in 2005, because I'd buy it for sure.

    Egg Nog

Bottle (Imp): It smells like it's name. Not a really sweet egg nog though. It's nice. Just On: Stays true, egg nog, a hint of booziness. An hour or two later: It's pretty faded, but I can still smell egg nog, although it smells like it's in the plastic jug, and I can smell that just a little tiny bit as well. Around 6 hours: Wow, this went away quickly for me, so I'll have to try it again. 12 hours: It's gone, gone, gone. I'd like to have this one stick around, as I rather liked it. Overall: This is one to try again. After reading other reviews: Apparently I'm not the only one who has the problem with it fading too quickly. Other than that, I like it, and will use it. I'm not one to wear scents based on the season it is, more like I pick out what I'm in the mood for at the time, and go with that. I can see wearing this to go out for the evening, maybe for dinner, as it fades fairly fast, and I don't have to worry about it staying too strong for later. I wonder if it would work layered. I'm glad I didn't get playdoh out of this, I might have cried.

    Spooky

Bottle (Imp): Mint cookies. Just On: Chocolate mint cookies. An hour or two later: Plastic chocolate mint cookies. Around 6 hours: Fainter smell of plastic chocolate mint cookies. 12 hours: Barely there chocolate mint cookies. Overall: As you may have seen, this is chocolate mint cookies, heavy on the mint, and plastic, and I never get anything else out of it. I'll try it again, but I don't think this hits the favorite list. I tried this again, because I like to give extra chances, and at the very very end, I got some coconut, but not enough that I'd be able to wait through it all to get there. This will have to be swapped. Bummer, as I love mint cookies, but they just don't smell right made of plastic. After reading other reviews: I never got any coconut out of this at all. The chocolate mint is nice, but with the plastic overpowering it, this might not be a scent for me at all. Rather a bummer, but it's good to know that it works so well on so many people.

    Lust

Bottle (Imp): I think I like this, but I have no clue what's in it. It's sort of sweet, not cloying, and not necessarily spicy. Just On: Oooh, it's yummy. An hour or two later: It's settled into a musky smell, not really sexy per se, but a bit on the sensual side. There's a bit of bite there, but not enough to scare me off. Around 6 hours: There's some definite bite, some muskniess, and that's about all that's left. Though it's faded, this isn't bad at all, and I think I like it. Not a top five, but probably in the top 15, and I don't know about a big bottle. 12 hours: It's pretty much all gone, I think I might smell a faint hint, but can't tell if that's it or not. A hint of plastic too, but I don't know if that's it or not. Overall: I kinda like it, but not as much as the really foody scents. After reading other reviews: I didn't get sexy, sultry, or any other sensualness from this one. And I certainly didn't get any amorous attention, which is not necessaraily a surprise, as it was rainy today, and The Mate and I were both too sore to be doing anything fun anyway. I might have to try this again and see if I can avoid the plastic thing... maybe layer it with O.

    Hellcat

Bottle (Imp): OOOOH! Buttery! I like it! Just On: This is melted sugar, syrup, and perhaps cinnamon oil just before it hits the hard crack stage when it's boiling away. Can't really smell the butter anymore, but it still smells WONDERFUL. If this stays like this, it's going to jump up to the top five scents ever for me. An hour or two later: Oooh, it's really really sweet smelling. No more cinnamony smell, just a very sweet beautiful scent. Around 6 hours: This is still super sweet and pretty. I really like it 12 hours: All that's left is that last little bit of sweetness, which I still really like. Overall: This just moved right up there next to Bliss, O, and Gluttony as scents that make me want to slurp my arm over and over. You just *know* it's gotta be good when I'm willing to move a cat to smell my arm some more (I'm the kind of person that will sit and not use the bathroom because a cat is cuddled on my lap). After reading other reviews: I concur with several of the other reviewers, it's sweet, and wonderful. This heads up to the big bottle list. I could get SO hooked on this one, but luckily, I have the imp to last, and a few other scents that are as good.

    Loup Garou

Bottle (Imp): Very crisp and fresh. It almost smells like Sea Breeze atringent, which isn't all that bad, but it's bicer than SB. Just On: On me, Sea Breeze and witch hazel and household cleanser (not quite pine-sol, but a bit). On The Mate, a fresh clean scent. An hour or two later: On me, I pretty much just have an antiseptic smell now. It makes me think of every scrape or bump I ever got and had that stuff smeared on, stinging away. On The Mate, a faint clean breeze. Around 6 hours: On me, there's a hint of the antiseptic smell, with a bit of the freshness that The Mate gets. It's probably not a scent I'd wear, but he might be able to. On The Mate, it's almost gone. 12 hours: On me, there's the barest hint left. It finally gives me a bit of good smell. On The Mate, it's disappeared. Overall: On me, it didn't work at all. On The Mate, it faded really fast considering, but it was pretty okay while it lasted. I think he'll be better with musky, spicy things, but it was worth a shot. I'll probably give it a second shot, as I always do with the ones that don't work. After reading other reviews: I really didn't get any woodsy, pine, juniper type scents at all. I'm guessing the eucalyptus is what made the antiseptic thing happen with my skin.
  13. OriginalWacky

    Hell's Belle

Bottle (Imp): A little hint of sweetness, and something I'm really not familiar with. Just On: Still some sweet, I could like this. An hour or two later: A touch of spice, with some kind of fruity scent. No clue what, but it's pretty. Around 6 hours: A smoky, fruity scent now, and faded a little. I like this one. Not, love, just like. 12 hours: Mmmmm, sweet powder, and I like that a lot. Overall: This is a keeper. It isn't really spicy, and it isn't overly sweet, just a pretty scent that I would probably wear to church. After reading other reviews: I don't know if it's the magnolia that I smell, but I like it, and I may have to try others with magnolia in them to see if they work as well as this does. I could see getting more of this one.
  14. OriginalWacky

    Midway

Bottle (Imp): It smells sweet, and I already love it. I really hope it works on me! Just On: MMmmmm, really sweet, but with a hint of something else in there. It really does remind me of the midway of the fairgrounds, which is awesome. I could so see myself slathering this one. It could jump into my top five very easily. An hour or two later: Oh this is still very lovely, and I am falling in love. Right now I would probably buy 10 ml of it. It smells like all the sweet things you smell cooking at the fairgrounds, but not as strong, if that makes sense. I get hints of cotton candy, caramel corn, and funnel cake (I want some funnel cake now) with the very slightest undertone of something that adds to the midway feel of it. Around 6 hours: I'm officially in love with this scent. It doesn't stay as strong as I'd like, but it's delicious, and brings back wonderful memories of time at the fair. 12 hours: Although it's almost totally faded, I have the faintest hint of sweetness left. Overall: I love this scent. I would absolutely buy much of this, and it's in my top five for sure now. Absolutely goes on the big bottle list as soon as it comes out. After reading other reviews: Apparently I'm not the only one who smells all those things in it. This is pure magic.
  15. OriginalWacky

    Swallow's Blood

Bottle (Imp): Hmm, not liking it muchly. Just On: Perfumy, and a little bit of plastic. This might not work for me. An hour or two later: Whoa. Way too many flowers, with that plastic icky smell. Still, I'll let it stay just to see, although I don't see wearing this much at all. It's only half an imp, so it might not be worth much to someone else. Around 6 hours: Boy, this one really does not like my skin at all. 12 hours: I get some powder now, and not so much flowers. Overall: I could live with it if it was this way from the start... but I don't think I'll be wearing it much, and I might get it to somebody who wants to try it. After reading other reviews: I didn't really find it all that relaxing or anything, but I also didn't hate it as much as I probably could. It isn't one of my favorites by a ways though.
  16. OriginalWacky

    Antique Lace

Bottle (Imp): Sweet and flowery. Just On: Still pretty flowery, but I can deal with these flowers (a bit unusual for me). There's a bit of creaminess that I think I would really like to smell more of in this. An hour or two later: Again, still a lot of flowers, and just a hint of creaminess. If it were to move more towards the creamy (vanilla?) side, and away from the flowers, I might fall in love with this one. Around 6 hours: Now it's moved into a really flowery stage, and I don't like it quite as much. 12 hours: Through the flower stage, and it was pretty long, and back into a creamy light flower stage. If I could skip that heavy flowery stage, I might like it much better. Overall: It's not a terrible smell or anything, but that stage of flowers in the middle really throws this off for me. I'm starting to figure out that certain flowers don't work, so I'm going to have to try quite a few more to figure out which ones do. After reading other reviews: I don't get the linen part of this one, but that's okay. If I could tone down the flowers, I'd probably love this as much as so many others do.
  17. OriginalWacky

    Banshee

Bottle (Imp): Wow. Lemon Pledge. Just On: Oh yes, lemon pledge is what I smell. I like lemon pledge, but I'm not sure I want to smell like it. An hour or two later: Hmm. It's still very much like lemon pledge on me. This one may not be a scent for me. Around 6 hours: No more lemon, just dustcloth smell. 12 hours: It smells like a dust cloth, but not as strong now. Overall: Whew, yet another one that isn't going to do much for me. I'll still give it a week or two and try again, because I hate to give up on any of these creations, but this one is probably not for me. After reading other reviews: Wow, apparently I am not the only lemon pledge wearee with this one.
  18. OriginalWacky

    Dove's Heart

Bottle (Imp): Eeee. Flowery or something. Just On: Ack, I don't care for this much at all. We'll see how it dries down. An hour or two later: Too many flowers for me. Me and my silly mental thing about flowers. It doesn't smell the greatest either, on my skin. Around 6 hours: Ack. Used bandaids. I could have gone all month without smelling that again and not complained. 12 hours: Back to a faint bit of flowers, and not much else. Overall: This one doesn't seem to like me much at all. Maybe it has to do with the bird names, because Swallow's Blood wasn't very fond of me either, though not to this extent. After reading other reviews: Unfortunately, no calming or easing for me. It was not happy to be on me, and it made it known that I shouldn't be wearing it. It will have to be swapped dangit.
  19. OriginalWacky

    The Devil

Bottle (Imp): Kind of sweet, with a hint of spice to it. Maybe some flowers with that? Just On: Hmm, this has a hint of plastic in it, but it's not so strong, so perhaps it won't last too long. The little bit of spice is still there as well. An hour or two later: I still get a bit of plastic, but not as much as some other scents. It's mixed with *something* (no clue what) that seems like it would be very nice if I could just get that plastic out of the way to smell it. Around 6 hours: More plastic coming forth. I really need to figure out what scents turn to plastic on me, or what is making my skin do this to scents, because I started out so well, having almost every scent love me, and then this started to become more common. 12 hours: Ahhh, powder, which is a welcome change from the plastic thing. I am glad I like the powder, because at least half the scents I've tried turn to it. Overall: This is interesting, and I am glad I got to try it. I think I'd like this one on The Mate, so I may have to try that and see what happens. Of course, he's more like a saint than a devil, but that doesn't mean it won't work on him. <g> If he doesn't like it, then it will probably go into swaps. After reading other reviews: I guess I'm not the only plastic smelling person when it comes to this. Must be lucky though, I didn't get civet, or at least the cat pee part of civet that seems so common. If it went straight to powder, I would probably love this. Since it doesn't I may wind up swapping it.
  20. OriginalWacky

    Vixen

Bottle (Imp): Sharp. That's all I can think of, is sharp. Just On: Wow, pepper and sharpness. With ashes. An hour or two later: Whew. It's like I picked up a pepper shaker and inhaled, but without the sneezing. I'm going to try to hold out, but I would much rather wash this right off. Around 6 hours: This is all that peppery spicey smell, but I can now tell that it isn't pepper. I don't know what it is though, so pepper is the closest I can come to describing it. I doubt I'll be able to wear this ever, seeing as I don't like pepper. 12 hours: It finally faded a bit, but never lost that peppery scent. Overall: I can't imagine what is in this that makes it so harsh to my nose. This is probably the first non floral scent that I don't think I will ever wear. It really seems to hate my skin (or my skin really amps up something awful in this... either way, it's not something that smells good). After reading other reviews: After reading the other reviews, I SO wish this had worked on me, and not turned into the inside of a pepper shaker. I may have to give it another try in a couple of weeks, but it doesn't look too promising. Unless this changes drastically, it's going to become a swap at some point, and since it's not terribly full, maybe a gift instead.

    Jezebel

Bottle (Imp): Sweet and mild. A bit foody. Just On: Mmmm. All kinds of things going on here. An hour or two later: Ohmy. I really like this. It's faded just a bit, and it's still so many things that I can't really pick anything to single out. Around 6 hours: This started turning to a bandaid smell a bit ago, and hasn't changed since then. It's not smelling very good now. 12 hours: The last vestiges of bandaid. So sad this turned that way on me. Overall: I really liked the way this started out. If it had stayed along those lines, this would jump into my top ten very quickly, but it turned rather yucky on me. Most certainly have to try this a couple more times to see if it was a freak thing or happens every time. After reading other reviews: It must be the honey and orange blossom that I smelled at first. Maybe the sandalwood is what turned on me? Or could it be the rose? I'll have to compare scents that work on me with scents that don't and figure it out. Probably a really good reason to try a whole bunch more BPAL. <G>

    Hetairae

Bottle (Imp): Something sharp, and almost a hint of sweet. Maybe some kind of fruit? Just On: Hm. Tart, sweet smell, a hint of sweat smell? I'm totally confused by this one, but that's not a bad thing. I keep smelling it over and over to see if I can pick anything out. An hour or two later: Hmm. Some kind of sharp fruit that isn't as pleasing as most fruit is to me. A very slight whiff of musty sweat. Around 6 hours: It's almost a bandaid smell, but not in a really bad way. There's a hint of fruityness left. 12 hours: It's fairly faded, with the bandaid underlying the fruity smell. Overall: This one seems like it was almost going to be good, but it never quite made it. This is definitely one to try at another time, and see if there was just something today making it get oogy. After reading other reviews: This seems like it's mixed reviews, some folks LOVE it, and others just can't wear it. Apparently I fall into the second category.

    Grog

Bottle (Imp): Ooooh booze. I like booze. I don't drink very often, but when I do, I drink things that taste like this smells. I'm not sure what liquor it smells like, but I like it. Just On: Hmmm. Rum and peppery drinks come to mind, though I don't really smell pepper. An hour or two later: A hint of pepper. A hint of rum. I can't believe how much this faded. I think I liked it better in the imp, but we'll see how it goes. Around 6 hours: It's mostly gone with the faintest hint of drinking left. 12 hours: It's pretty much all the way gone, and I'm a little sad that it is. Overall: I like this one, and I will certainly use up what I have. It's almost in the top ten, might weave in and out of it depending on other scents and so on. I don't think I'll hurry to buy this one, but if I get a chance at one for cheap, I wouldn't complain. After reading other reviews: Well, if it had stayed as well as it did for others, I would be really happy about it, but all in all I really liked it, and will wear it out and about.

    Dia de los Muertos

Bottle (Imp): Very mild, with a tiny little hint of spiciness. 2nd Try: Smells flowery, uh oh. We shall see. Just On: This has to be one of the softest smelling things I've smelled, I can barely smell it at all, even just put on and wet. 2nd Try: I'm smelling flowers, some spiciness, maybe a hint of bonfire smoke. The flowers are pretty overwhelming. An hour or two later: I can hardly smell it at all, and what I can smell is just a massive blend so that I can't pick anything out. Maybe food, flowers, smoke, but so intermingled that it's just it's own scent. 2nd Try: It's not so flowery, so I can handle it, but it's not my favorite scent by a ways either. I'm not really getting the foodiness or smokiness. Around 6 hours: Pretty much gone, but if I really sniff close to my wrist I get the barest hint of it. 2nd Try: It's gone again. 12 hours: It's completely gone on me now. 2nd Try: Totally gone. Overall: I think I might like it, if I were able to really smell it. Even in the imp, it's just so quiet that I have trouble smelling it. 2nd Try: After reading other reviews: Didn't really get all the foody things, no incense, smoke and such. Just a blend of many things. I like it, but it goes away REALLY fast on me. I might have to try this again, and really slather to see if it sticks. 2nd Try: Well, I just can't use it much, because it doesn't seem to stick worth a darn, and I don't get much of a scent at all, just some vague notes. Guess it gets swapped. Darn it.

Another way to keep track of scents... most craft stores have the little tiny plastic bags you can store little things in. (Also, you can get them in many pharmacies- little bags to seal your pills into.) Many of them even have holes punched out of the sealed part so you could put them on a key ring. Take a small piece of cotton (like a little tiny bit, not a whole cotton ball) and put a drop of scent on it. Seal it into the bag, and use a marker to write the name of the scent, and the date of storage on the outside. If you're really into it, write a few words about why you like or don't like it as well. Then you can not only look back and see what you thought by seeing your words, but you can take a sniff as well. Do remember to keep it protected from the light, even pretty smelling cotton can start to get a bit off if mistreated. This will keep scents from mingling, as long as they are kept sealed up when not being sniffed. Or, if you simply don't want or need to keep an actual sample of the scent around for whatever reason... get a recipe box and index cards, and write notes on each. You can keep them in alphabetical order, seperate them by categories, whatever trips your trigger. I have the Excel sheet, and if anybody wants it put into text form so that wordpad or the like can read it, just let me know, and I'll transfer it over. It might take me just a day or two, because I'd remove all my own little categories, but not a problem. I have Office and I'm not afraid to use it! <eg> I could even leave some space after each entry so that you could write your own notes in there. I wonder what it would cost to print one of these babies out and mail it? Hmm, now I must know what it might cost, so I'm going to figure it out. Paper, runs around $5 a ream [500 sheets]. So, $1 for paper. Ink, runs about $30 a cartridge, and I'm going to guess I can get at least 600 pages out of it... possibly more if I use colors and am careful not to have extras in there. So, say $4 for ink (trying to be generous here). Wow, up to $5. Postage, well, that many sheets of standard paper is going to run around a pound, which has to be sent Priority Mail, and that's $3.85 if I remember correctly. Envelopes are cheap, so call them $.15 just to make it a nice even figure of $6 per report printed and mailed out. Okay, so it's actually kind of expensive. So maybe if the person was willing to send a printed copy AND a disk with the spread sheet, it might be worth a couple bucks, but there are just too many other ways to keep track of scents and such, especially with our great forumites willing to send out spread sheets. (And by the way, I loves my spread sheet, and spend time playing with it every day, resorting it, changing the order of the ones I want, and so on. I use it to keep track of scents I've gotten, liked, disliked, traded away, whatever. Between that and making new labels for my impies, I'm a happy camper.)
