Unfortunately I amped the heck out of the leather in this blend. Which was too bad because at the start this was really awesome and dark. Smoky and evocative, I really liked it but during the drydown the leather came out and took over.

There are some similarities here to Hanerot Halalu for sure. But this has a bit of a vanillic feel to it, as opposed to the olive oil/citrus combo of Hanerot. The beeswax note is just stunning. Very warm and cozy. The smoke isn't overly dominant.

I'm going to echo the beautiful sentiments. This is really stunning. On me, this is a green scent, but a dark green. This doesn't go soapy at all, which tends to happen when I try to wear anything "green". Instead it's rich with a lot of depth. There are hints of Christmas tree, but not in an overly pine-like way. The cinnamon is VERY understated here.

The ever-generous fairnymph sent me a tester of this and it is wonderful!! Wet, there is a sharpness which I think is the juniper and opium. This quickly settles into a wonderful vanilla/leather blend with a touch of bergamot. The patchouli here is really light, as is the tobacco and both provide a sort of roundness to this scent that smooths it out quite nicely. This is just a shade masculine, but not overtly so. Overall, its a smooth, warm scent.

I got to try a little bit of this after hunting it down for awhile!! This was slightly reminiscent of Hex 05 on my skin, but the musk was a little darker and more feral, and there was a deep red wine component. I would almost be tempted to use the term intoxicating for this blend. I like it, but it's a little too rich for me.

Wet this is moonflower and lily on me. As it dries though, the moss comes out and deepens and gives this scent a little complexity. I was a little worried at first this would be too strongly floral, but it isn't, nor does it go overly soapy on my skin. This is a bit of a spring scent for me, and clean. Sweet but not cloying. It's pleasant, but not something I typically wear.

On me this was a little too bitter and acrid. Almost choking in it's smokiness. I usually like smoky blends, but this was a little too dry for me. I prefer Djinn myself.

Whew! This is one boozy scent. Normally, I'm a big fan but here it just seems too much. The cognac and bay rum seem to be clashing on my skin. This one isn't working out so well. It becomes very sweet and almost cloying on me.

Almonds and spice to me. Maybe allspice? This is sweet. I think I'm getting amber in here too, as there seems to be a hint of powder. I like it, but I'm not in love with it.

I get lots of lavender with this too, but I have to attest to it's effectiveness. My husband is extremely afraid of flying. Almost to a phobic point. I, on the other hand, love to travel. Since my husband is the bestest husband ever, he continues to put himself on planes for me. The problem comes in that we haven't been able to find anything to soothe him aside from his script for Ativan. So on our last big trip, I got some Safari to try. Well, it worked. We applied it to him before setting off and he was calmer than I had ever seen him travel. He didn't like being in the air, but at least the panic was gone. It seemed to help with my jetlag too, leaving me alert when we landed. I will also mention that I used this on my brother-in-law the day of his wedding and it seemed to calm him the eff down pretty well too.

Ok, let me first say how shocked I am at this blend. I had arranged a swap for this, thinking that it wouldn't work because violet and I are NOT friends. Boy, I am so glad I was wrong. This is a wonderfully creamy violet blend. It starts of a little sharp on first application, but almost immediately settles down on me and I get violets and a tiny bit of powder and something a little vanillic. This is incredibly evocative of a different time, with a vintage feel to it. (Which, incidentally, is why I swapped for it - I had a 30's themed wedding and I'm completely in love with anything vintage). I really like this alot, and I'm so very glad I was lucky enough to get my hands on it. It does leave a bit of a wafting air of mystery. And I should note that on me, this is not heavy or cloying in the slightest.

This was predominantly chamomile while wet. It was pretty sharp. AS it dried, I got the distinctive play-doh scent I get from frankincense or verbena (they both go play-doh on my skin) so I think one of those two components is in here. They play-doh smell because a little noxious so I had to wash it off. While I was wearing it though, it did seem to calm the nerves and alleviate some of my irritability. I'll hang on to it and try again next month.

This was very soothing. Mint and something else. I had a bit of a headache when I put it on, and it worked. A little cold to wear for perfume for me, but it's practical applications seem to be quite effective.

Whew! This is heavily lacquered wood when I first applied it. Like PAINT FUMES lacquer. I had to let it settle for about 1/2 an hour on me before I tried to sniff myself. Once I did, the resulting product smelled amazing. Sweet woods and books. I agree that it's probably going to age into gorgeousness though.

In the beginning stages, this is predominantly musk and books. As it dries, the woods come out and really smooth the blend out. It hints at a masculine vibe, but I don't find it unwearable. I really like this one alot, it's comforting and bookish.

This was a pleasant surprise. I have a sordid history with rose and frankincense. I didn't get screaming rose, nor too much playdoh from the frank. What I ended up with was a sweet smoky blend, with hints of light rose. It was very soft on me. Nice, but I like other smoky blends better.

This is Morocco with smoke and leather. The smoke was pretty dominant on my skin for a good chunk of the wear time, and the leather was a little strong for about an hour after application. When it finally settled in, yup, this is a smoky leathered Morocco.

Just.... WOW! This is a creamy lavender blend, but not sugary sweet. The magnolia cuts the sharpness of the lavender nicely. I quite like this indeed. It's cool and dreamy. Soft and a little ethereal. I typically associate stars with something sharp or bright, and this is neither, but still very evocative of the concept.

This is very similar to Autumn (Retail Only Salon) and has shades of Hex 05 on my skin. The is sweet apples and smoky resins. I don't get much in the way of damp, but it is very evocative of a drizzley autumn afternoon. I like this, but I like Autumn better.

This goes a little caramelly on my skin. It's very sweet, with a subtle hint of spice on the drydown. When fresh, the corn note is similar to Feast of the Greatly Revered ones, but the similarity disappears during wear. It's almost a comforting smell really and it wears very close to the skin. I like it, but ultimately it's not very me.

On me, the berry note is fairly prominent. The musk is very faint here. It also has an aquatic feel to it, without being an actual aquatic - if that makes sense. I think it may be the ambergris and seaweed combo doing that. I agree with the Berry Cologne synopsis. That's pretty much what it is for me. I like it, but I'm not one for berry scents, so I think this will have to find a better home.

This one is a huge morpher on me. And it's wonderful! I should preface this with the note that I do NOT generally go for foody scents. I don't like smelling like anything one would eat, it just doesn't appeal. On first applying Cake Smash, I get a woosh of frosting and cupcakes a la Beaverversary/Beaver Moon 05. It settles quite quickly and almost immediately all trace of food is gone and all I can smell is Doc Constantine. After about 45 minutes to an hour, Snake Oil comes out in full force, and soon after takes on a bit of a foody tinge. Except it's not JUST Snake Oil, and I can still smell the Doc. About 3 hours in Dorian shows up. It's a really great mix of the three scents on me, with the sweetness of the Snake Oil complementing the ruggedness of the Doc, tempered with the smoothness of Dorian. The red velvet cupcakes and frosting aren't overly pronounced here, with the exception of the very beginning. I really like this, a lot actually. More than I ever thought I was going to. I may need to hunt down a bottle, I can see this being a comfort scent.

There is a very fruity element to this when freshly applied, but as it dries it settles into a smoky incense blend. Very resinous and dry, with something a little bitter lurking underneath.

I was sure this wasn't going to work on me. Rose and florals aren't really my friends. When I first applied I was a little scared, the musk and rose were REALLY strong. It settled on my skin pretty quickly, and about an hour in, while I was at the grocery store, all I could smell was this delicious vanilla floral spice. It was ME! This is heady and sweet and sexy. A little intimidating at first, but this is just wonderful!

This is a cold scent. Someone else described it as desolate and I think that's most apt. The gunpowder takes on a metallic tang on my skin, and the hay is very dry. The patchouli adds a little depth. It takes a while on me for the herbs and woods to come out, but once they do it warms the blend up a little... but not by much. This is very evocative for sure, but the entire blend is just a little too cold and hard for me.
