    Lick It

Super sweet vanilla mint. As it dries, the mint gets fainter and fainter on my skin, but the vanilla is sugary sweet throughout. I liked this a lot more than I expected to. Lovely and delicious!

    Midnight Mass

This smells like resin and incense, but not different enough or better than the other resin / incense blends I love. So off to swaps it goes.

    Nuclear Winter

It smells lovely, cold and minty in the bottle. But on me it smells like toothpaste.

    Lenore

Every time a new blend comes out with vetiver, I look at the other components and get so excited that I forget that vetiver does not agree with me, and I buy it in hopes that those other components will, for once, outshine the vetiver. Lenore, at first, held strong. The musk was dominant, and the smoke and patchouli were keeping the vetiver at bay. This is definitely a dark and foreboding blend. Unfortunately, as time goes on, the vetiver gets stronger and stronger and shoves every other note aside. I had hopes for this one, but unfortunately, it's going to be going the way of all the other vetiver blends... to someone who can wear it better than I can.

    Jacob's Ladder

I have a fairly unseasoned nose when it comes to the notes listed in this blend. I would guess that the amber and benzoin are the strongest on my skin. But that being said, I can barely smell this. It was faint in the bottle, and all but faded away within the first hour of applying it. What I can smell, smells oddly... earwaxy? Kind of a sharp smell, and not too pleasing. Ah well, they can't all be winners on me.

    Herr Drosselmeyer

This is another perfect holiday blend by Beth. Very nostalgic. The pipe smoke is sweet and reminds me very much of the pipe an uncle of mine used to smoke at family gatherings. The leather is soft, and in the background, and is tempered beautifully by the woods. I get very little linen. Truly beautiful.

    Hearth

I was worried about this mix because in the bottle, all I could smell was butter. Shill was a blend I was excited about but that just didn't work on me. I couldn't smell the pine at all, but was somewhat relieved about that because pine blends never seem to work on me either. But on... this is the holidays for me, perfectly liquified and wearable. It's sugary, buttery almonds. But then the pine! The pine is the perfection. It's like sitting around the fireplace in my parents' living room, decorated tree in the corner, snacking and talking and just enjoying each other's company. I love this. This is what I wanted Hearth 2004 to be.

    The Haunted Palace

In the bottle and immediately after application, this is bubblegum sweet. So much so that, without knowing what the components were, I would have sworn there was lotus in this blend to some degree. It doesn't have a whole lot of throw that I can tell, and as it has dried it seems to have faded quite a bit. It's not so much sweet now as floral, and I would say that the rose, gardenia and vanilla are the strongest notes. It's very soft and very pretty.

    The Cracked Bell

My husband said, "You smell like church." And so I did. He claimed to smell frankincense, which I won't really deny. It was definitely a smoky, incense-y blend. Other than that, I can't say much, except that I really loved it.

    Aureus

This is woodsy, smoky and spicy. I get maybe... cedar as the wood? The spice, I know I've smelled in other blends and didn't really care for it in those, but with the woods and the smoke it's not that bad. I wish I could put my finger on what it is though. I definitely get the golden though. This is a very golden blend.

    Absinthe

Never having partaken of the beverage of the same name, I can't confirm or deny the smell being exact. But I do know that I'm loving the aura of anise, mints, and wormwood dancing around me. This is a lovely scent. Very bewitching!

    Gaueko

This is soft and smoky. It's blended very well and I'm not getting too much of any particular note, so I can't really say which is the strongest. I can tell the lavender is in there, and the nag champa. I'm guessing the sandalwood and labdanum are second strongest, but I don't get too much of the tobacco. Though I did say it was a smoky blend, so that just goes to show what I know. It smells, to me, like I've burned some nag champa and lavender incense and the wood holder is sitting on a table in the sunshine with the dusty remains of the burned incense. Smoky, dusty, warm.

    Beaver Moon 2005

In the bottle, this was unbelievable creamy cheesecake and a rich creamy vanilla cake-batter-like scent. When I applied it, it stayed somewhat sweet and definitely creamy, but faded down more to what appeared to smell like the aforementioned cheesecake's graham cracker crust. Delicious, but not sure if it's me.

    Formula 54

This is sweet smoky sexy. It reminds me of when I used to DJ and would crawl home at dawn, covered in sweet sweat and clove smoke, limp hair, smeared makeup, and happy as hell.

    Florence

This is a very feminine blend. I would say that the berries and the amber are the strongest notes, and the amber is tempering the berries so that they're not too overwhelming. I usually get a very plastic smell off of berry blends, but this time it's not like that at all. Juicy and golden and red, if that makes any sense.

    Fire of Love

This smells like a very dry, sticky mouth full of nasty breath. It's making me very sick to my stomach and put a major headache on deck.

    Blood Moon 2005

Gorgeous creamy spices. Like cinnamon and cloves and musk and incense. Really really gorgeous and animalistic and heady.

    Bengal

I was a veritable walking spice rack. Cinnamon and cloves were the strongest. I didn't get any musk out of this at all, or the honey. Just spice spice spice.

    All Saints'

I had tried an imp of the 2004 blend early in the year and wasn't very pleased with it. But I decided to give the 2005 version a chance. It was primarily lily and gardenia, very soft yet heady, and at times smoky. I didn't get too much of the other notes out of it, which was kind of disappointing, but I liked it enough as it was that I think I'll be hanging onto it.

    Devil's Night

This was spicy and smoky, albeit mildly so. Nothing overwhelming, just a nice autumn scent. Very beautiful. And it lasted quite a long time too... I can still smell it in my hair and it's been about 20 hours since I applied it. Two thumbs WAY up.

    Baneberry

This is a very herbal berry blend. It reminds me a lot of holly and berries, so it will be nice to wear around the Christmas holiday.

    Trick or Treat

This smells purely like corn. Like Shill without the butter and the salt. Not for me.

    Asphodel

This is a soft, powdery floral that actually grows in intensity as it dries. I get a very distinct "Secret Anti-Persperant" vibe off of it, but it's not really offensive or anything. Just reminds me of my powder fresh deoderant a little too much.

    Annabel Lee

This is a GORGEOUS floral. Peony and sweet pea are strongest on my skin, and it's absolutely beautiful. The cucumber and sage round it out softly so it's not all florals. This is delicate and feminine and innocent, and I love it love it love it!

    All Night Long

I was pleased because this started out smelling like cinnamon and assorted nutty spices, but shortly after applying, the rancid bitch vetiver stepped into the forefront. I want to claw at my sinuses and vomit all over myself, so I'm guessing sex isn't really an option today until I can get this off of my skin and out of my head.
