The softest cassia, with cottony soft florals and tea notes in the background. I know there's no tea in the description, but that's what I get...a cassia-floral tea. Gentle, understated prettiness.

Dandelion, white clover, balsam fir logs, and birchwood switches. Soap and spicy woods...like a men's body wash. I like the clean outdoorsy vibe. I can pick out the balsam and birch wood notes. Total lumberjack scent. A freshly-showered lumberjack! Sexy but sweet and clean.

Blackberry! A rare note in BPAL. I want more of it, please! So tart and ripe! It's especially lovely with the bordeaux wine. This isn't a sweet/foodie blend. It's fruity, yes, but it's a rich and sophisticated women's perfume. I love it!

Lovely incense and floral blend. The lushness of jasmine is quite a bit stronger than the understated carnation, patchouli, and amber notes. It's funny, I can't recall another jasmine/patchouli blend. They are two of my favorite notes and I definitely want more of this! I could swear it also has a drop of cognac...weird. Anyway, love it lots!

Beautiful champaca and sandalwood notes, like a high-quality incense. There's also a smooth, understated leather note. My husband loves this one, I would definitely acquire more for him at some point!

Trying to outgrow my love of foodie blends because they're not work-appropriate...but sometimes I can't resist! White chocolate, marshmallow and honey are three of my favorite notes ever. The honey is so rich with buttery and floral notes. I don't really smell the marshmallow. On me, this is a gorgeous honey combined with sugar and cocoa butter. I love its luxuriance.

I'm so thrilled I blind-bought this. I love sugared or creamy florals, and I adore jasmine, so this could really be my signature scent. It's very womanly, not girlish at all. Worldly and sophisticated. Anise gives the slightest touch of spicy sexiness. SO perfect, new #1 scent!!

GORGEOUS rose incense. Not totally rose...the frankincense is there, too. So pretty. No red licorice at all for me! Smells ancient and mysterious. I don't know my rose from rose champaca, but whatever it is, I love it.

French toast, maple syrup, and cinnamon sugar! My mom used to always serve French toast with cinnamon sugar and that's the scent memory The Strange Old Woman conjures up for me. Straight-up foodie breakfast goodness!

Like a sexy French version of the lab's various cold/icy/slushy blends. It's sweet, smoky, incensy, I could swear there's a bit of anise. Beautiful and sophisticated. Others smelled citrus, but there's none for me, thankfully. It's like being warm and cozy in bed with a sexy someone, in a cabin in the snowy woods.

This starts as a nicely spicy ginger blend. There's a citrusy note (cubeb?) that I don't care for, but the sweet amber and warm ginger are valiantly trying to temper it. There's nothing hot and spicy about it...sorry, scorpion pepper! 20 minute later -- the citrus won that battle. Off to swaps you go.

I love De Vos' Unicorn so! I'm going to have to stockpile any and all blends containing mallow. It's my current obsession. And I'm always a soft touch for a sugared floral. Peony can get lemony on me, but that's not happening here. Sugar, vanilla and mallow are soft and powdery and gorgeous. It's a floral blend, though, not foodie. Dreamy and light-hearted, just like a unicorn floating on a cloud, wearing a crown of flowers!

Almost a single-note lavender. Warmed and sweetened just slightly by the amber. I like these notes, but as far as the lavender blends in this batch of Liliths, my preference is with the aquatic wistfulness of Waiting.

Hazelnut and patchouli...a match made in heaven! Rich, warm and indulgent. The red musk is present as well, but it's not amping too bad. Same with the leather. They're noticeable, but they're letting the salty, buttery, vanilla hazelnut and earthy patchouli shine. Stays close to the skin, but so lovely.

Dignified and somber, a scent of ancient wisdom! I admit I'm partial to this blend since I work in a library. I'm picking up dusty parchment, paper, candlewax, and quite a bit of rose. I'm not sure I could pick out the stryax or onycha. Not getting any leather at all. Later on, it's still a combination of roses, wax, and books. Love.

It's so reedy. I was expecting a somewhat foody scent, but I get no vanilla frosting at all. It's actually the green, watery papyrus reed that's center stage here. It's sunny, almost lemony. I don't really do lemony or watery, personally, but it's a unique and interesting perfume. Can't say I've ever smelled of papyrus before!

At first I get salt, like a salted caramel almost. Or salted tortilla chips as Lycanthrope said. A touch of ginger floats in the background. The white tobacco is eluding me. The tropical fruits are surprisingly understated. I was anticipating more guava and mango since they're kind of uncommon notes. I haven't been to Cuba, but this reminds me of eating fruit for breakfast in Mexico under the warm sun by the beach. 10 minutes in, salt spray and gingery floral perfume is what remains.

A big splash of root beer with vanilla - yum! It's a nice contrast with the sharp leather note. Like drinking a rootbeer float with your biker boyfriend past curfew - retro and naughty. I won't need a bottle as I already own Stimulating Sassafras Strengthener, although I think I prefer the boldness of this scent.

A cluster of roses and other gorgeous, lush flowers. I'm not familiar with mariposa (butterfly jasmine) or mahoe, but I love the bright, exotic vibe of this floral blend. Makes me wanna visit Cuba so bad!!

Sandalwood and vanilla - a fantastic everyday, every situation perfume. My nose sometimes confuses sandalwood and cedar ("pencil shavings"), and I think of this blend as Tombstone's sweeter little sister. I wish it was a GC so I could just buy bottles from time to time...I'd wear it that often. It would make a great gift for someone just getting into scents as well.

A gorgeous lavender blend. "Wistful" is a good way to describe it, as whitewhale said. It's a little soapy, but in a pleasant way - very clean and natural. Like lavender mixed with a rain-scented candle. One of the few aquatics that I love!

An inspired, complex rose scent worthy of the English poets buried in Poets Corner of Westminster Abbey. Think of a single rose laid in an underground crypt. Stone walls and faded incense with soft rose petals. From this entire batch of Liliths, this was the one I needed a bottle of!

I tested this at a meet & sniff a couple years ago and I have been trying to acquire a bottle ever since. Now it's mine! It's very clean and stark. Like brittle alien flowers glowing on an otherwise cold and empty planet. Cold, clean, unpolluted space atmosphere, with the strange florals that grow in the pale glow of the moon. One of a kind.

Earthy, hippie blend of fig and patchouli. Very sweet due to the honey and vanilla, but not cloying. The closest GC is probably Gomorrah. This scent reminds me more of Bernie than Hillary, to be honest! But, hippie is totally what I go for, so I'm pleased to have a bottle in spite of the sad political circumstances it connotes. Nasty Woman is a winner just like Hillary with the popular vote.

A masculine scent...the leather and tobacco blend smoothly with spiced rum. It's not that boozy...I could probably wear it to work and not receive strange looks. It dries down to a spicy leather, which is nice, but not enough for me to want a whole bottle.
