    Blood Amber

In the bottle: Nice amber scent with something slightly spicey and warm behind it. Not really my kind of thing, but I'm willing to try it following all of teza's raves. Wet: This scent actually isn't as bad as I had feared it might be. It glows. It has a nice warm yet golden feel to it even though it's such a brilliant red oil. It smells like amber with some spice behind it. A very natrual smell that has a nice throw to it as well. Dry down: Unfortunately the spice is coming of this a little more than I had hoped. I'm not a big amber fan, but this one was nice because it was so simple and true. The spice behind it is a little much for me. It's almost like cinnamon or cardamon, something slightly off kilter without being too hot if that makes sense. It's still a pretty nice smell, but I can feel the beginnings of a headache approaching. Dry: This turns too spicey on me and leaves the quiet amber in the background. Too much cinnamon or something in the blend. My skin apparently just amps that up.

    Ouija

In the bottle: I'm slightly afraid of this one. Those wood notes scare me but here goes. That's pretty strong. I can pull out the oak along with something that's terribly green and is probably the osmanthus. The roses aren't appearing yet, but I think the teak is in the background. It's not a good sign that just sniffing out of the imp bring a little headache to the forefront of my brain. Wet: Bursts of teak and oak with that green osmanthus in the background. The roses are coming to the surface, but they're paler and more subdued than in other blends that feature them. Dry down: Roses now with some wood notes in the background though they've faded together in such a way that I can't tell them apart. The green osmanthus is also sitting right out in the open on my skin. I'm not getting much lilac, but there is a dusty, powdery quality to the scent that makes me think it's there. Dry: Mostly rose and osmanthus with a powdery note and some wood in the background. This is probably too heavy a scent for me, though, even if it is pretty nice. I can feel some pressure building in my head from sniffing at it so I mgiht just wash this off and ditch the imp somewhere. Hmm...although now it pans out to a nice, sweet, pale rose scent that still, somehow, manages to make the head alarm go off. Pity. Thankfully, I have plenty of rose scents that leave my head alone.

In the bottle: I know what you're all saying, "Why are you bothering with more aquatics. They never work." My answer is that I want them to work, and I keep trying. Very ozone with some salt and yes, rain. Now this is what I had envisioned Thunderbird smelling like. It's sharp and kinda salty with a definite ozone, water note to it. Wet: Ozone and water. The salt has mostly faded to the background. This is clean in a differnt way than the tea and lemon scents are clean. This is...brisk water. Dry down: Those "marine" notes are coming out now. Kinda weird and salty with a lot of ozone packing power in it to go along with the ozone. I don't know about wearing this, but it would be a fantastic room scent. Dry: Ozone, water and this odd, salt, spice scent in the background. It's like...it reminds me of the ship themed bathroom my aunt and uncle have in their house. Kinda cool but not really my style.

In the bottle: Some of the other "Irish" blends have given me terrible headaches. I'm hoping to have finally found one that might work for me. Here goes. I don't know. It smells...well, it's not like Dublin or Unseelie although...it has the green of Dublin and a strange background aquatic note, which could be very bad news on my skin. It kinda smells like soap or fabric softener. No, it definitely smells like fabric softener to me. Wet: Once it goes on, though, it goes kinda green and herbal fresh. Not what I expected. And there's this throw of instant floral to contend with as well. But mostly there's the herbs riding abopve everything else in the blend on my skin. Dry down: Very green in a way that speaks of the grass in Ireland which never seems to fade from a bright emerald. There are flowers in the background but thankfully that fabric softener aquatic has mostly faded from the scent at this point. This is wearable, but I'm not sure if it's a keeper yet. The herbal blends and I have almost as bad a history as the aquatics and I. Oh, here comes the fabric softener scent again. It's...it is floral but the dew in it on my skin combine to fabric softener. It happens every time. I want to smell lovely, and I end up smelling like Snuggle. I like Snuggle, but it's not a very...person scent. Dry: Fabric softener. The Irish scents are I apparently cannot find a nice middle ground in which to play. It's sad really. It's not that it smells bad. It's just...fabric softener. It seems very generic on my skin. So much less vibrant and beautiful than the other scents that Beth does. And I know it's my skin because everything along the lines of an aquatic does this to me. Washing off.

    Chaste Moon 2005

In the bottle: Butterscotch. Not the really sweet butterscotch of pudding but a more refined butterscotch candy. There's a hint of something in the background that has a slightly alcoholic twang, but I can't really discern what it is. Wet: Well...it's not butterscotch on my skin. In fact, I'm not sure I even got enough on to really test. One sec. That's...eh. Okay, it's weird. It's no longer butterscotch. It's just...werid. I think it's doing that milk scents go nasty on my skin thing. Dry Down: Most of the butter smell fades away leaving me with something kinda floral and musky with a sweet background note. Almost like...I don't know. It's almost has an aquatic feel to it. It still has a very slight butterscotch smell that has faded almost all the way into the background on my skin but remains prevalent in the throw. Dry: Now it's turned into a kind of sweet floral. It reminds me of something, but I can't place what. It's not bad. I don't know. It fades down really quickly and seems to soak immediately into my skin. There's also a subtle spicey floral in there that reminds me briefly of Alice. Yeah, floarls and a light musk in this with some kind of odd booze note in the background. I don't know whether I like this or not. I'll have to do more testing.

    Mata Hari

In the bottle: Jasmine, mahogany and a little bit of tonka bean all jump out at me first. The tonka bean is in the back of the other ones. Jasmine is ruling but the mahogany gives it a very interesting background note. Wet: Tonka bean and fig with a slight vanilla throw. The tonka bean is the dominant note in this blend on my skin, though. Dry down: Tonka bean with a whiff of mahogany. Where did the florals go? I don't know, but this is pretty nice even without them around. I wish it didn't have fig. Something about fig just bothes me. Not in an allergic way but it just isn't the best scent to me. The vanilla might be lingering somewhere in the very back, but it's not terribly present. This is mostly tonka bean and fig and...it's burning. OMG. Burning. Burning! Dry: Fig and tonka bean. Burning. Washing off.

    Port-Au-Prince

In the bottle: Not looking forward to this one at all. Once again transported to that aisle in the craft stores that makes me run screaming to the other side. The one with all the potporrouri and too much clove. Why is everyone but me in love with clove? Wet: Gross. Clove and...well, I can't actually pick anything other than the clove out of this scent. Maybe some of the sassafras, but I'm not entirely sure. Dry down: Yeah, sassafras and clove. It's not great, but it's not as bad as I have originally feared it might be. No rum or almond or bay that I can detect. It still reminds me or potporrouri. Dry: Clove and sassafras. So not for me. Washing off.

    Baba Yaga

In the bottle: Slightly fruit and floral, but I'm not sure what it is that's in there. Wet: Still fruit and sweet but there's some background note that makes it smell a little rotten on my skin. It could be my skin's way of reacting to the oil, but it still doesn't strike me as the nicest scent in the world. This smells like a mix of fruit and the inside of the Wiccan store I used to go to when I was in college. It's a mix of a lot of different smells that kinda get rounded into generic incense by my nose. Not that it's a bad smell but...I don't know. I've never been a giant fan of incense in any way, shape or form. Dry down: Well that incense is dying down a little, but it's still the predominant note. The fruit is behind it and in the throw, which is nice. It is fruity incense, really. Not a bad smell, but not really my idea of Baba Yaga. She seems more wood and smoke and broken smiles to me. With iron for er gnashing teeth. This is more like the girl who defeated Baba Yaga. Young and fresh and determined. Dry: The more I smell this the more I like it even though I am not a big fan of incense smells. This is a fruit incense, and it's bright and clean wit just a hint of something darker under the surface. When this comes out I'd definitely pick up an imp and maybe even a bottle for myself.

    Spooky

In the bottle: Rum and Thin Mints. This smells yummy. Seriously there should be a mixed drink that's rum, Kahula, chocolate syrup and Peppermint Snapps because yum. And that's what this smells like. Wet: Rum and Thin Mints on me, too. The rum has decided it wants to be the dominant scent, which is okay except for the fact that I'm not sure I want to smell like a bottle of booze. That nice thin mint smell is in the background and this is booze, booze, booze. So...not a work blend. Dry down: Rum. Rum with some coconut and thin mints in the background but still mostly rum. I hope the rum dies down because it would be cheaper (and a little more fum) to buy a bottle of rum and drink it. The thin mint smell is getting a little stronger but the rum is still king. Giving it some more dry down time. (Please Spooky, please don't make me seem like an alcoholic.) Ah, now I'm peppermint rum. I was hoping to be thin mint rum, but I don't know where the cocoa has gone. I think the coconut and the rum have combined to create a supreme rum since the coconut is not present on its own. Dry: I just smell like rum. The cocoa is gone. The peppermint has faded away. There's a trace of vanilla so I smell very strongly of vanilla coconut rum, which isn't a bad smell, but I have no idea when would be appropiate to wea this. I'll probably keep it and do some more testing at a later date to see if it lightens up any or decides to let the cocoa and peppermint play a little more after some aging.

    Eris

In the bottle: Mmmm...that's nice and fruit and floral. Wet: I'd have thought that goddess of discontent would have a darker scent. This smell like fruity bubblegum, which is odd but really nice. I'm not sure that I want to buy a scent that smells like pin bubblegum, but it's nice and sweet and fruity. The spices are starting to come out and take the edge off that Bubble Yum scent. Dry down: The Bubble Yum scent has disappeared leaving something very close to the skin and hard to describe. It's...spicey and yet not hot spicey just...flat. It's a very flat, close smell even though I know that that description makes no sense whatsoever. It's like the scent taste of bubble gum when you've been chewing it for awhile. It turns into a very bland, flat taste that still has lingering traces of the juicey, fruit flavor that was there before. Dry: Used bubble gum. Well while it was wet and in the vial this smelled incredible. But this flat, used bubble gum flavor is kinda gross. I wish it had kept some of that fruit, sweet sparkle to it.

    Thunderbird

In the bottle: This is lovely. I was not expecting to like this as the aquatics and I do not get along but in the vial this smells fabulous. It's airy and yet somehow sweet at the same time. Wet: This is nice and sweet, like the smell of flowers when the rain is falling on them. And it hasn't turned into fabric softener on me yet. Just...I don't know. It's like fruit and rain. I don't get a lot of ozone feel from this because of how nice and sweet it seems. A very fresh scent. I was expecting something a whole lot darker and heavy like storm clouds but this is soft fluffy clouds, soft rain and a rainbow. Dry down: Still that sweet after the rain smell but behind it is the first hint of fabric softener doom, which makes me very sad as I love the intiail scent of this so much. Dry: That sweet rain is still there in the background but this scent has mostly faded away. There's a lingering fabric softener smell but the sweet rain remains quietly below that. It fades away pretty quickly so even thought I love the scent of this I doubt I'd bother to buy a bottle of it.

    Cerberus

In the bottle: Um...well...that's interesting. It smells mostly like chocolate and musk to me with maybe a little bit of run in the background. It's not the most pleasant smelling thing all concentrated like that. Wet: Chocolate and rum with a slight rummy background. Once on it's actually kind of nice even if it's pretty masculine for me. There's a hint of walnut in there, too, so that it smells like a really decandent chocolate cake with rum in it. Dry down: The fig is starting to peek out around the edges of this giving it a slight sweet smell as opposed to the very foody smell it had taken on. In fact now it's more of a walnt/fig scent, which makes me sad as the chocolate cake smell was nice while it lasted. Yeah, fig and walnuts. A very dark kind of smell without being bitter. Just nice and calm but not really me. Dry: Still fig. In fact now it's mostly that fig scent with the hint of walnut in the background. It's not...I'm not the biggest fan of fig. In fact this blend s giving me a slight ache in my stomach so I'm going to wash it off now.

    Chiroptera

In the bottle: Lavender with a little bit of honeysuckle in the background, but it's the lavender that comes out the most. Again another blend I'm somewhat fearful of. Wet: Lavender and honeysuckle, which is a really pretty blend. Well the throw is kicking in, and it's pure lemon balm. This one is kinda yummy, especially the lemon/floral throw. This is a very floral scent that has a bit of sweet and is night-blooming flowers, a garden drapped in moonlight. Dry down: It's hard to pick out the individual scents in this blend because all the florals like to blend together into a very nice if somewhat heavy blend. Thankfully, the lavender is being kept in check and is not allowed to ruin this blend for me, either. The lemon soars out of the floral creating a nice balance that keeps this from tipping into floral hell, which it borders on a little. The throw has died down a little, though, but the blend is still nice. I think this is going to be my favorite of the Oblation scents. Hmmm...now this is becoming greener like the herbs are coming out rather than the florals. This may get iffy as herbs and I don't get along terribly well at all. Dry: Still herbs with lemon and some floral in the background. I was hoping this would stay lemon floral but te herb with backing notes is also pretty. It has calmed down into a light, fresh fragance that is very calming rather than overpowering. It is also blended nicely so that no one note takes precedence over the others. This may hit big bottle list at some point.

    Corazon

In the bottle: Slightly fruit musk with traces of, yes, lavender. Lavender and I don't agree so I doubt this one will be the best blend ever, but I wanted to try it. Wet: Mango. It's very nice on my skin if it would just stay at the mango with a slight musky note in the background. I'm not sure what purple sage smells like sp I haven't been able to pick it out, but the lavender isn't ruining the blend on my skin. Yet. I think the mango and sgae must be mixing because the smell if kinda fruit/herbal, and I know it's not the lavender. It kinda makes the back of my throat burn, though, soi I know that this is one blend I won't be purchasing for myself. Dry down: Still has that mango/herbal thing going on with very little of the musk or lavender showing up. I think the amber is providing a nice base for the mango and the sage, though. This is probably mt favorite lavender blend so far, which only means that it's wearable. I have problems with lavender. Oh no...something's making me want to sneeze and that burning sensation is getting worse. Perhaps I'm allergic to the purple sage. Dry: Mango with some kind of herbal and a little amber. Not as sweet and fruity as I had hoped but at least the lavender didn't turn it into total ick on my skin, which is always a possibility.

    Sacred Whore of Babylon

In the bottle: Floral. Very floral. A kind of honey/vanilla floral, though, with an interesting cinnamon background note to it. It's not...well, it's kinda scary and thick and cloying in the vial so I'm hoping it might calm down when it hits the skin. Wet: Cinnamon. Cinnamon and honey. And...maybe dragon's blood? I don't know. Something. It's...I think it has cinnamon in it. It makes my nose kinda flame. I don't think I light this one. Dry down: The throw is still a fairly nice honey/vanilla floral but up close it's this burning cinnamon red hot thing that is just not pleasant for me. Cinnamon. Dry: Not even letting it get there. This makes my nose hurt with its cinnamonness. The floral honey/vanilla scent that I pick up occasionally is nice, but I cannot take the cinnamon.

    Rome

In the bottle: Wow, that's green. I can make out the cypress and the juniper at first sniff. This just screams green to me. Very strong. Wet: Ew. Herbs always turn nasty on me and this is now exception. I smell like bushes. Plus there's this underlying note to it that turns my stomach. It's green on the throw and in the front, but the background is sickening. Plus I think I'm allergic to cypress. Dry down: I smell like a tree. No ifs, ands or buts about it, this is tree me with a sick background note to it. Dry: I don't know. It's bothering me too much to get there. I can smell the rose starting to come out, but it cannot help this tree blend.

    London

In the bottle: Nice rose scent that's less fresh than Rose Red. Reminds me of dried rose petals, the lingering scent of them without the green. Wet: Rose with something kinda weird in the background. I can't really tell what it's supposed to be, though. Maybe amber or some kind of slight musk. It still smells like roses, but these have been dried and added to some kind of larger scent even though they remain in the foreground. Dry down: I cheated and looked through some of the reviews and, yes, I can pick out a slightly spicy note in there that is probably carnation. Hmmm...I have so many lovely rose scents already. It's not that this one is bad or anything. In fact, this is about the only blend where that carnation note doesn't drive me crazy because the rose note makes it basically more background than anything else. Dry: Rose and carnation. Not bad, but I have a lot of other rose scents so I don't think I'd really get a chance to wear this one that much. Persephone, Rose Red and The Empress are already favorites who have earned bottle status and even though this is a nice, mature dry rose scent I just don't think I'd wear it on a regular basis.

    Venice

In the bottle: Lemon and jasmine and rose with the traces of other florals and a tinge of the sandalwood in the background. This is a very complex scent that has a a lingering old feeling to it. Not old as in musty but just old and grand and wonderul. Wet: Very floral but the lemon note in the background helps keep it from becoming too overpowering and heavy. It gives it a light airness that is very nice. The lemon is the only note that seems to be rising from the others and influences the throw greatly. The florals sit closer to the skin and have a tendancy to mingle. Dry down: I think the lemon and the jasmine are taking the prevalent notes in the throw now. On the skin it's still a very mixed floral with traces of lemon. The sandalwood is being nice and acting as a background note rather than the OMGsandalwood it usually does. Dry: Hmm...this is a little strong for me. Very much sandalwood and heavier florals with just the smallest touch of lemon behind everything else. I like it in the bottle an wet, though, so I may use it as a room scent but this is a little close to the allergy edge for me.

    March Hare

In the bottle: This is kinda nasty. It smells like spiced, slightly sour dried apricots. I'm starting to learn that while I like the taste of apricots, the smell of them isn't always enjoyable to me. My biggest hope is that this will soften a little once it's on. Wet: Now it smells like cloves with sour apricot in the background. I'm just...this makes me a little sick to my stomach for some reason. I'm not the biggest fan of cloves, and they're a lot stronger in this blend than I had imagined. The apricot note is also making my stomach roll a little. Dry down: This stays pretty true to form. Clove note on top, stomach rolling apricot note on the bottom. I have unfortunately spilled this all over my desk and even after wiping it up the throw of slightly sweetish clove is wafting around me everywhere. This will not be a happy work day. Dry: Mostly clove in the front. It kinda smells like those Christmas bouquets and things of that nature. Then the slightly sickly sweet apricot is in the background. I can't take it, though. I don't like clove and the apricot is not my friend.

    Juliet

In the bottle: Sweet pea is very close to the surface of this blend with the other florals mixing together in the background and providing a backing fragrance for that top note. I don't get a sense of any pear or musk yet, but I'm interested in seeing if this white musk blend works as well on me as the others I've tried. Wet: Hmmm...I don't know. I didn't think this would such a heavy scent. I think the problem may be the lilies. I don't think I've found a single lily scent that works on me, which is rather unfortunate really. The sweet pea and the pear are noticeable but the initial rush of scent is that heavy lily smell I get from all the lily blends. Dry down: Lilies and sweet pea. It's possible that the honeysuckle might be in there, too, but the other scents are too strong to get through them. This is still too heavy and almost waxy for me, which is how lilies seem to react to my skin. I was hoping this would be a very light floral, fresh and clean. It's a very nice scent but too heavy and tragic for me. The pear is starting to peak out, though, and I'm reminded why I like it in so many scents. Dry: Now it's turned into pear and musk and sweet pea. It's a little less heavy than the lily smell, but it's still not...me. I'm not the biggest fan of sweet pea and the mix between it and the pear is kindly sickly especially with the backing musk. It's kinda sour and...I don't even know the right word to describe it, but it's not terribly pleasant.

    Kitsune-Tsuki

In the bottle: Mostly the plum and white musk with florals under everything else. The florals are pretty nicely blended together so it's hard to pick any one of them out from the group at present. The plum is such a nice scent, though, and I'm looking forward to the musk as I get along so well with the blends with white in them. Wet: Hmm...plum and musk with a floral...probably the jasmine right now in the background of the rest of the scent. Also something in there that is making the throw kind of sweet, which is probably either the orchid or the plum itself. Also, yes, floral though it doesn't smell like the jasmine I'm used to. It's kinda of...waxy and a tad yellow so it's possible that it might be the daffodil, but it's been awhile since I've smelled daffodil so I'm not sure. Dry down: Still yummy plum. The musk isn't as out in this blend as it is in some of the other blends that I know and love. The throw is very soft and half-sweet/half-floral but lovely all the way around. I think the jasmine and the orchid are becoming the dominant scents on the skin with the plum mostly lending itself to the throw and the musk mostly being a nice background for everything else to work off of. Dry: Jasmine. There's the jasmine. Jasmine loves my skin and has a tendancy to just amplify itself about ten fold once the rest of the scents dry down on me. The throw is still lovely and sweet, just enough fruit without becoming overbearing and lightly floral rather than cloying. It's still very jasmine on the skin itself but a lighter jasmine than my Ave Marie, which turns very sacremental. This is a very light, spring kind of scent. Very refreshing. If it doesn't turn into a big bottle order, it will at least be a well loved imp.

    Egg Nog

In the bottle: Finally got my hands on this little imp through a swap. Now let's see if it's everything I've hoped it would be. Yum. Oh, yes, that's brandy and rum with cream and sugar. I'm not getting the nutmeg as strongly as the others but it seems to waft in and out of the background. Goodness, that smells so good. I just want to drink it. I won't, but I want to. Wet: Mostly boozey on my skin but the throw is just like eggnog. It is a thick and very creamy scent that lingers heavily around me. It is sweet and the cream seems to work better on me than the milk notes thankfully. Dry down: Nutmeg very much on the skin now, and the throw has faded very quickly, which makes me sad. Of course I'm not sure how much I really want to smell like eggnog. I mostly wanted this imp so I could smell eggnog all year long. This will be a great room scent. It almost makes me want to buy some of those eggnog tarts I spotted the other day. Nutmeg and slight booze notes. Dry: On me this turns into a very light nutmeg and booze scent on the skin. The throw is almost gone, but it's just perfect eggnog heaven when I do catch a whiff of it. I'm thinking that it will probably stay much truer if I use it as a room scent and burn it in my oil burner. Despite the fact that this is not a good perfume scent for me, I love it so much. I don't think I need to try and get my hands on a bottle, but I will love my imp.

    Thalia

In the bottle: I got this because I am in love with the smell of plumeria. In the bottle, though, I mostly get the pear and white champagne. It's a very light, clean, bubblely type of scent so far. I'm kinda hoping it will make me want to throw up less as my stomach is being stupid. Wet: Still pear with a faint floral in the background. Hmm. Not the plumeria smell I was after when I initially bought this back in...um...December. Dry down: Oh yum, here comes my plumeria. Very nice. With the pear in the background to temper it and the champagne lending a very sparkling note to the whole thing. But the pear has decided it wants to take over the scent on my skin, which...I like pear but this is a little strong for me. For some reason the pear wants to stick close to the skin and the plumeria is getting the throw. This is nice, but I wish the plumeria would be more prevalent in both places and the pear go away because it's not helping my stomach feel any better. Dry: On my skin this has taken a very alcoholic note, which must be the champagne. The throw is a mixture of pear and chapagne. I don't know where my lovely plumeria has gone, but it was not as strong as I had hoped when I bought this blend. Hmmmm, well there's the plumeria and pear back on the skin and more of the white wine/champagne scent in the throw. I have a feeling this one is going to switch off and on all day. I like this scent enough to probably use it during the summer when I need something light and fresh, but I doubt it will attain big bottle status. I have Muse and Endymion in big bottles to fulfill my pear lust. I hope Beth makes something else with plumeria that smells a bit stronger of the plumeria. I like what I'm getting, but I want it to envelope me rather than tease me.

    Hollywood Babylon

In the bottle: Strawberries but not fresh ones. No, this is kinda the way my Strawberry Shortcake dolls from the 80s smell now. Kinda musky and not-so-fresh. There this heavy, cough syrup kind of smell in the background that makes my stomach roll. I hope it'll ease off a little on. Wet: Um...well. It still smells line cough syrup to me only it can't figure out if it's cherry or bubblegum. Neither of these are scents I care for. In fact, the only note in the whole list that I might like is the vanilla so I don't know why I decided to ever test this one out. For the experience, I suppose. Dry down: Bubblegum throw with a musky smell close to the skin. Only now it's changing back to cherry. I have a horrible history with cherry scents. We don't like each other at all. I can smell the heliotrope when I get close to the skin, but it doesn't really make it into the throw. That's a pity because I do like the faint floral scent of it. Yeah, it's pretty much amber and musk on my skin. I don't like either of those scents. Why did I put this i my pocket for testing? It's been riding around in there for, like, a week. Cherry again. Dry: Musky cherry with a slight cough syrup vibe behind it. There's a little heliotrope in the throw, but it's not nearly enough to make me think I could possibly want to wear this scent. I'm sure this scent is lovely on the right person who likes these notes. I'm not one of them. I test because I want to test everything I have. I don't get disappointed if it doesn't work. This is one for the swaps.

    New Orleans

In the bottle: Fruity floral with a spice background note. I can't pull any of the notes out just by sniffing the bottle, which is weird as lemon is usually like "Here I am! No here. Right here!" It's a nice floral, damp kind of smell. Heavy but still bright. Wet: When it touches my skin the jasmine leaps right out followed very closely by the honeysuckle in the throw. The jasmine is the main note, though, and sits happily on the skin while the honeysuckle prefers to waft around it and dominant the throw. Together these are quite lovely. The spices are only reallt detecable if I sniff my wrist straight as they sit behind everything else, and the lemon appears to be gone. Dry down: Hm. Maybe not so great. The spices are beginning to perk up and demand their time in the scent though the throw is still sweet honeysuckle with a trace of jasmine. Still no sign of the usually very loud lemon, though. This is still something of a heavy, wet, ponderous scent. It speaks of being mansions with vines coiled around old marble statues and wrought irons gates heavy and locked. Now the spices are dying down again and the jasmine is very close to the skin. The throw is sweetened by the honeysuckle with the jasmine sitting close underneath. Again no real sign of the lemon. Dry: Still jasmine and honeysuckle with the jasmine being the strongest scent and sitting the closest to the skin. The spice has all but faded away and the lemon never appeared. This is a very nice scent, though. A heavy floral that remains bright in spite of the weight of it. It helps that I love both these florals scents because they really dominate the blend. I may end up having to get this in a bigger bottle as I imagine that it would be a perfect spring and summer scent.
