HOW TO POST PHOTOS TO BPAL ORG

Spoiler

First you need to have a place where you are hosting your photos on the web.  I am using imgbb.com for these since it is free and will be using examples from my photos there.

The first thing to know is that you do NOT use the little photo icon in the post editor here and do not try to attach or upload photos.  None of that.  DO NOT TRY TO INSERT OTHER MEDIADO NOT UPLOAD THEM TO AN ALBUM HERE ON THE FORUMDO NOT TRY TO DRAG FILES "here to attach".  No!  Bad!  Stop!

You just want to get the URL (direct link!) to your photo, copy the direct link (will end in a .jpg, .gif, or .png) and PASTE it into the body of your message.   The forum will AUTO EMBED IT FOR YOU.

I'm not going to go through how to upload photos to the site of your choice because whatever website you use will have better more specific instructions than what I could give here.

Once your photo is uploaded (in this example, to imgbb.com),  click on the photo.   It will open up with options along the bottom of the page (when you mouse over the photo.)   Choose C for Embed codes.

Change the drop down from "Viewer Links" to "Direct Links".

When you mouse over it, there should be a "copy" option -- or you can just highlight it and copy it.

PASTE THAT URL (direct link) into your message here on the forum.  Yep, just into the body of your message.  You should see the URL link appear and then, depending on how fast the forum is today, POOF it will turn into a photo.  If it does NOT turn into a photo, MAKE SURE that your link ENDS with an IMAGE extension, like .gif, jpg, or .png.

That's it!
