I always love fingerless mitts but I have really large hands so using stretchy cast ons and bind offs is a must! I like double length cowls, shawlettes, etc. Please look at my ravelry "make for me" bundle to get ideas. -- the gnomes and foxes are for my mom. (I don't like traditional triangular shawls unless they are super special (like the bat and unicorn shadow knits or double knitting) and I don't wear hats except newsboy type caps with a brim or maybe some huge gothy sun hats.)

NAVA is my go to right now (but mostly vanillas, ambers, roses, musks, patchoulis.) I would like try Cellar Door candles! Low smoke incense, high quality candles and wax melts, essential oils, linen & atmosphere spray, dryer scent balls, rose beads, car fresheners of all kinds, soap in with my shirts and socks and unmentionables, scent beads in little jars... I mean, if it smells good, I am HERE for it. (I just have to make sure it doesn't set off my allergies or respiratory issues.)
8. would you like anything from the bath and bodyworks Halloween line?
I really wanted their bat wallflower night light! (I have a haunted house one from them.) BUT I went into the store and my store had a really cool Raven (on a blue/gray pumpkin) wallflower night light!!! I want it!! I also sniffed all the things and added what I like to my amazon fragrance wishlist. I was really happy to see that all of the aromatherapy body care is now made without sulfates, parabens, or artificial dyes. I also saw a sign that their soaps are there too. I hope the rest of their body care gets there.
So anyway, I would gratefully accept car scent refills (and I love the crescent moon car scent holder), wall flower refills (and the raven wallflower), pillow mists (the aromatherapy line), candles, and fragrance mists or spray perfume. And antibac.

11. I know a lot of us are witchy and have deeply held beliefs about the materials we use as part of our practice. If you're one of those individuals, are there certain herbs, crystals, etc that you do not want to receive? I can't think of any. I'm set for smoke type sticks (we made our own with mugwort and lavender) but if you make them too, I would love one! I don't need tumbled rocks / crystals and I'm probably set for small obsidian pebbles but I can always use palm stones / worry stones, beads, scrying mirrors, towers, orbs, etc.

All of Nightmare before Christmas? *head tilt* I keep my Halloween stuff up all year so prefer things like NMBC, bats, corvids, gargoyles, skulls/skeletons and not things like witches, ghosts, zombies, pumpkins. Jalapeno and Smoked Jalapeno (Chipotle) are my favs. I go through the tabasco sauces of those two like water! We make candied jalapenos and I have lots of chipotle powder and dried jalapeno and such. Would be up for trying hot sauces similar! (I have Yellowbird Jalapeno sauce and the Trader Joes jalapeno sauce.)

My art style is a bit simplistic, cartoony, and cutesy, I usually draw fairies but last year I did a swap on reddit and made someone a bunch of halloween dog stickers lol. Same as my fave smells for everything else really? Vanilla, Nag Champa, Rose, Sandalwood, Dragon's Blood -- I have some incense on my fragrance wishlist. I love blends too? I just need low smoke if possible, or I'll have to burn it outside. I love resins and loose incense for charcoal but I rarely use it because of the smoke involved, only in the fall, winter, or spring when I can be outside without roasting or being eaten by bugs. (I guess that's coming up!!) I really need more SAND for my charcoal!! The darn dogs spilled my last bit of sand that was in my burner. I'd love red, black, purple, or white sand.

I do wear rings in between top and mid knuckle, about a size 6. I lost my favorite ring last time I was in Seattle, it was a little dragon that I'd had for over twenty years. doh. Otherwise I wear an 11 but I'm also doing a ton of weight loss so hopefully ring size will go back down.

My pigs and my dogs? I can't just choose one creature. I love corvids, bats, equines (especially friesians and warlanders and lusitanos), dolphins, pit bulls, and lots of fantasy creatures. Leafy sea dragons! I would love to have a hedgehog and a chinchilla someday, also a sugar glider. I love ratties and ferrets too. I would totally have a French Bull dog if I could afford one but more pitbulls need homes than frenchies, so pibbles it is. I have a blue tick coonhound as well, pretty much same reason. Problem dog who needed a home that wouldn't give up on her. She is such a butt!! I love snakes and lizards too. Probably all creatures except spiders and wasps and non kindly creepy crawlies. (I'm ok looking at spiders but I don't want one for a pet and they get relocated out of the house. I have found many black widows here. urg.)

yes yes yes. orange chai sounds lovely, or cinnamon chocolate. Not a huge fan of "hot" peppers or pepper flavored drinks. Honey, lavender, rose (not sure how flower ones would go with whisky ?) It is not. My son's and dad's are though, usually cake/candles (for son even though he's over 30) and probably dinner out for both.
Likewise, how do you celebrate relevant spiritual holidays in this time period?
Lately I haven't been celebrating much since I'm so isolated out here in the middle of nowhere and all of my friends are on the West coast. Sometimes a bonfire, or candles, or quiet contemplation, it just depends on what is appropriate for said event.

Like, everything. I love Bird & Blend tea! I love cool things from UK Lush that we can't get in the US. Other indie things are always good too. Right now I think I'd prefer actual plants as we have a really short growing season here and seeds should have been started in March for summer things. But I do have grow lights if it's seeds that I absolutely need and it will be house plants or something that is not an annual.

I use The Ordinary (like a set of things) so technically I'm probably good on skincare even though I bet my questionnaire still said I needed a good moisturizer. I can always use good shampoo/conditioner and my dogs especially can use a good shampoo and conditioner! I just got a new shower head yesterday so I can give them baths again without using cups of water to get them wet and rinse them. (The handheld wand was clogged up. FIXED! BRING ON THE DOG SHAMPOO!) I love the Bat & Peonies! I like a lot of their skull items as long as they're not sepia / beige / yellow. Raven and Full Moon, Lunar Cycle/Full Moon, Celestial Fox, Aurora Fox, uncolored Cat Skul, Bleeding Roses with white background, Skeleton Hand & Hellebores, Raven and Roses, floral pentacle (uncolored), Fox Skull (black/white either one - leaning towards one with black background), Purple Orchids (white background)... - If so, colors? I have various weights of wool, sport and dk cotton, cotton thread in 3/2 and 5/2, and light fingering weight bamboo rayon that dyes like a dream
so I don't really love variegated yarn. I'm firmly in gradients, self striping, speckles, and semi solids. Look at my ravelry stash and you'll see the colors I like. Cool leaning Black, all the cool leaning shades of grey, blurples, blackened reds, etc. preferably blackened colors or jewel tones, no navy, no pastels, no fluorescent.
fingering through bulky is great for merino. Light fingering bamboo rayon is fine. Otherwise no alpaca, llama, bfl, cotton (except for worsted for wash clothes), etc.
My European travels are expanding! Anything you want from Portugal or Berlin???

you're obviously not my sprite because I have so much chocolate on my Amazon snack list. I really try to do fair trade / slave free chocolate and a lot of those brands on my Amazon list meet that criteria. I loooooove truffles. White is not chocolate, chocolate must contain cocoa butter. Nuts are good, especially almonds or pecans. Milk is better in bar form, dark chocolate is good on caramels or truffles or in baked goods.

Do you want anything for your vehicle? Like bumper stickers or magnets?
I don't put any stickers at all on my car or car windows anymore. I used to but kind of fell out of the habit. It used to make for interesting conversations on the ferry or in a huge traffic jam in Seattle; I'd have people get out of their car to come talk to me (which makes me super uncomfortable!) Right now I live in a red area so I try to keep my weirdness to a minimum. I do have some pibble window vinyl things but I am too lazy to actually apply them since it seems like a big ordeal. Plus they're packed up somewhere with the majority of my belongings so I have no idea where they even are, I'd totally forgotten about them until now.

I would LOVE a stack of recycled kimono silk in blues, purples, greys, blacks, reds, greens. Lots of it. All the kimono silk. But I rarely leave the house and don't have any place to put a lot of items that aren't consumable (I would absolutely use the kimono silk to make things) and I'm not fashionable.

Would you use cbd infused bath products?
absolutely! Parents have a medical license and grew a lot of their own last year (no one smokes here though.) Mom makes infused coconut oil for edibles and salves for skin/muscles.
What colors are your kitchen stuffs?
I am in a shared living situation right now and don't have my own kitchen, sad trombone. When I do have a kitchen it's pretty much black, white, and pops of cool jewel tones (rich darker purple, burgundy, sapphire blue, sometimes green.) And I have a skull / skeleton theme with NMBC cookie jars. I shall never grow up.
If I knitted up a scarf/shawl/something in the wearable area what colors would you like and please be pretty specific.
I like gradients and honestly I mostly wear my white to black gradient shawls the most. (and only shawlettes as I wear them like infinity scarves or double loop cowls.) Sometimes I might wear cool toned blurples over a black or black/white dress. Grey is good too.

I have lots of idea in my etsy treats list that do include flavored cotton candy and other things. Tea is always good as well. I can't have too many sweet things as I'm going to be going on a liver reduction diet pretty soon, I also won't be able to do caffeine, so maybe some herbal tea / tissanes? I have a few hibiscus blends and other non caffeine on my wish list if you need to compare. (I hate chamomile. Please nothing with chamomile in it.)

Sure! Probably vanillas, marshmallow, patchouli, clove... same as perfume scents too. I used to have a spiced plum candle I adored. I like men's/unisex fragrances in candles as well, like Drakkar Noir, CK1, CKB. Nostalgic. Witches Brew from Yankee is one of my favorite scents! I probably have candle and melt scents on my wishlist (under PBSW), etsy lists, maybe amazon fragrance list, and up above under the Bath & Bodyworks question since I liked some of their candle scents this year.

Usually I make a friend in Arizona go buy Canon's Sweet Hots and ship them to me by the HUGE box but I still have a few jars left right now. I can't find any Toom locally and I'm too cheap to order it; I've tried to find other brands of garlic dip / garlic sauce, like Teta, but nothing available around here. (Like grocery stores here even carry Yellow Bird. But garlic sauce? no.) Next time I go to Seattle I can probably find some if I remember to look. I love Cat Krampus too, so cute!!! (That humanoid Krampus has the right feet though; I guess Krampus has one cloven hoof and one human foot according to some lore that I read. shrug.) But yeah, I love the "cuter" Krampus' and less the vintage humanoid. Silhouette is good too.

Homemade could be ok depending on fruit and booze? ? I super love this recipe I have for cherry almond fruitcake (soaked in amaretto) that is nom. I definitely prefer amigurumi, afghans/blocks, mandalas, doilies, etc. if crocheted unless tunisian crochet. I don't have a need for anything knitted since I'm too hot 99.9999999% of the time and wear t-shirts/camis/capri pants/open toe sandals pretty much all year but there are quite a few knitted amigurumi on my "make for me" list on Ravelry. I'm 100% a yarn snob though and prefer merino or merino/silk. Silk and silk/linen are ok too. Tencel is good. I'm not a fan of MCN or cashmere in general because of the pilling; same goes for single stranded yarn in general. Plied is my friend. No variegated yarn on wearables. Pretty much any yarn is ok for amigurumi though.

What is the best book you've read recently?
I'm not good at rating books or "recently".. (time is such an illusion for me!) Right now I'm reading "A Chorus of Dragons" by Jen Lyons and need to start book three (but I keep getting interrupted by library books becoming available.) Just finished "The Other Side of the Sky" by Amie Kaufman. Last night I started "Child of Light" by Terry Brooks. My favorite books off the top of my head are The Kingkiller Chronicles by Patrick Rothfuss, The Locked Tomb (however many, no longer a trilogy) by Tamsyn Muir, and all of the Fitz & Fool books by Robin Hobb. And the Naomi Novik Scholomance books. Oh, and the Murderbot books.

Are you ok with paper books at all?
It depends on the book. I'm ok with coffee table books, cook books, knitting pattern books, etc. (I can take a photo or scan the pages I want to use and then use them digitally in the event of cook/pattern books) but I have a really hard time reading paperback novels because of my eyes. I don't have any reading glasses and I'm constantly fighting with my prescriptions at the doctor because I feel blind all the time. Either they give me a too strong prescription so I can't see *anything* close up at all or too weak and I can't see the TV or road signs.
Do you already have expansion packs for your fave card games?
I pretty much only have two card games - Exploding Kittens NSFW version (no expansions) and Unstable Unicorns - the control box and the chaos box both from the kickstarter (no other expansions, no main game.) My son has Cards against Humanity and Joking Hazard but I don't know which expansions he has or needs. I'd love CAH because I do have "special" cards for it (I joined their "Holiday Bullshit" every year they had they ran it!)

I'm really not a fan of decants or samples, they usually go to live in a box and are never seen again. Unless it's something I *REALLY* want to try or really love and can't get. Yep, there's that duality. But any imps that are from the lab and aren't special ones, I've probably already tried (except for the new RPG's.) I don't mind receiving them; I'll just give them away with sales / swaps though.

I grow mugwort and it's harvest season. Would you like dried leaves for bathing or tea? Or a bound bundle for smoke cleansing? (Its said to be excellent for divination or lucid dreaming, but do not use if pregnant.) its also a digestive bitter and tastes great on chicken.

I am pissed at JKR because transphobe, but I still love Harry Potter, so it's ... difficult. In the olden days, Pottermore always placed me in Hufflepuff (eew, yellow! but .. honey badger? It depends -- plied, yes (not a fan of singles.) Semi solid or gradients. Fingering (500-600 yards preferred), DK, Worsted, whatev. I prefer blacks, greys, purples, blues, blurples, blackened red (like MadTosh's Tart), jewel tones. No neons or pastels. I have 6/0 beads but I don't make beaded things (with knitting) very often. O_o I'm very allergic to acrylic. I really prefer merino and silk. Now, larger beads for bracelet and necklace making is totes different. I would love beads made from stones (obsidian, rainbow obsidian, labradorite, amethyst, hematite... anything silver, black, purple, blue, green.)

Sometimes - I'm into bats, crows, skeletons - so vintage of those is fine. I don't care for the vintage cats / moon / people. Vintage Krampus is perfect. But y'know, for Yule time.
It seems like a lot of shops’ Halloween lines have items related to the same standard fandoms, such as The Nightmare Before Christmas, Hocus Pocus, Disney’s Haunted Mansion, Beetlejuice, Addams Family, etc. Do any of those (or other ones) particularly resonate with you?
I'm not a huge fan of Hocus Pocus but I love the rest (except Beetlejuice -- I like Lydia and other things from the movie, but not Beetlejuice himself, lol. They did way too good a job of making him hideous.) NMBC is my fav and I love the Haunted Mansion and Addam's Family.
How do you feel about atmospheric/novelty scents and novelty food items? Things like "new car candle" or "eyeball jawbreaker" or whatever.
I'm not too excited about "new car" scent but if, say, it's in a pack with other stuff I like -- like the car jar pack I have on my wishlist from Yankee Candles then yes. I like the non-harry potter brand butter beer stuff that comes out around halloween - I might have one a year just for fun (I *rarely* drink carbonated things.) Meh on novelty candy.

It depends on the shoe! Most fluevogs women's 12 or larger except a couple styles that are 11. Most other unisex type shoes are probably men's 9, women's 11. Women's shoes are probably a 12. So weird because I was a women's 10 forever and all of my 10's still fit me? I'm probably wide since my feet are swollen - kidney issues, whee.

If it's super special, sure! I do love flavored coffee so if you have any whole beans from your local special coffee shop I would try some! Dark roast. Cinnamon, Irish cream, orange chocolate, hazelnut, black forest. When I lived in Toronto I would always go into second cup for Irish cream! And when visiting upstate new york (well, business more than visit) I stayed in a hotel across from an awesome coffee shop that had the best chocolate orange and Black Forest, so I brought home beans.

Always! I can't think of anything specific but I love love love ren faires and shopping at them. Sometimes I buy buttons, torcs, leather goods, rings, etc. I get a lovely metal rose at the Colorado Ren Faire. (I collect nice roses made of different materials like leather or metal.) I got purple horns at one in Maryland. (shrug)
I always go to my town's local Farmer's Market and they have booths selling things like candles, Gourmet Pickles, Flavored Oils and Vinegars, dog treats (like bones and animal feet), honey, and bath products. Would you like any of these things?
HONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love dill pickles. ALL THE DILL PICKLES. And dill pickled garlic. I do love flavored basalmic vinegar (white or natural), especially if it's super thick. I have orange and huckleberry from one of our local vinegar peeps. (no oils please.) No bar soap. Bath bombs and other products are welcome as long as they are clean (no SLS / parabens / phthalates, etc. etc.) My dogs would love dog treats.

Is there something that you definitely prefer to not receive in any category (anything to avoid if you hadn't/forgotten to mention)?
Bar soap, candles of unknown quality (sihaya ones seem ok for me, but I have major chronic respiratory issues and inexpensive candles seem to exacerbate my symptoms), anything with food color, corn syrup, added msg, artificial sweeteners (other than stevia.) I try to only do fair trade /organic / ethical chocolate. There is a list of good chocolate companies at the ethical chocolate link and I have a ton on my amazon snacks list too. Ummmm no acrylic yarn; any yarn you find at a big box craft store is probably not something I want - sorry! I have like 1,000+ skeins of yarn so I am uber picky. I think I'm overloaded on lip balm right now.
Are there patterns/prints (more guidance than general Halloween/Autumn) you like for things or are you open to whatever I may find that speaks to me?
I have tons of prints on my etsy and amazon wishlist under artwork lists. What I really need though are FRAMES. I have sooo many prints from Brian Serway that I haven't had a chance to hang yet because I am out of 8x10 matted frames and I don't have an income right now, so frames are kind of a non priority. So if you send a print and it isn't framed, it will go into hibernation with the rest of my non framed art. I have lots of knitting patterns on my ravelry wishlist but ... I haven't been knitting lately and I have over 14k patterns. But of course I do always want to knit the new stuff that just came out because dorky brain. And then none of my 1k skeins of yarn will be right for it and I'll need new yarn! It is known!

Nope. Unless you count my dogs, they both sleep under the covers with me and are pretty much my platonic life partners. I'm also currently living with my parents (in their late 70's), my son (early 30's) and his friend who is on this forum (their alias here is chase.) We also have goats, sheep, and pigs. I make homemade fire ciders, would that be of interest? Non-alcoholic and they are quite fiery.
Not unless they are super delicious. My mom made a big batch of fire cider once and labeled it as "caution, may make you puke" so no one would drink it. hahaha. We do make our own elderberry syrup (elderberries, honey, apple cider vinegar) so I'm totally not opposed in the slightest to home made remedies and supplements.

dogs: I avoid anything sourced or produced in china because of all of the things found in dog treats / food that come through. I do try to do grainless and avoid legumes as well. Dried liver or homemade cookies with nut butters and pumpkin (make sure your nut butters do not have any xylitol or artificial sweeteners!)
pigs/goats/sheep: They're good. They get lots of things from our garden and a lot of leftover fruit and veggie scraps along with their grain/hay.
how do you feel about (ethically sourced) butterfly / moth art (in a jar or shadowbox)
They don't bother me but they really aren't my style either. I do have some butterflies in a shadowbox sort of frame (completely sealed) that I got in Panama in 1981 or 1982 or so. Death's Head Hawkmoth might be cool. I recently beheld a "tarantula moth" at our house - he was so cute! (Polyphemus moth - Giant Silk moth!)
I may have preemptively picked out 2 Halloween-themed mugs with cute matching spoons, before I knew who my match was going to be! So I leave it to you: Bat, or Cat?
I will *always* choose bat over cat but please do not send me mugs unless they are on my wishlist! I am drowning in mugs! I collect the Starbucks City Mugs (although I would prefer the ornament or demitasse size for space reasons) but mostly to drink out of I prefer 18-20 oz mugs (stainless / ceramic) with a lid to keep out the dog hair.

If you mentioned aversions to any common Halloween decor items (skeletons, witches, spiders, etc.), how encompassing is that? Specifically, is a "kid friendly" drawing of that same item on a piece of decor (like, a book cover or wrapping paper) still a preferred pass?
I had to go back and look at what I posted for aversions. None! It's just that I prefer stuff I can re-use (wrapping paper / bags) or can have out all year. I use my NMBC shopping bags all freaking year at the grocery store, for example. And I have skulls / skeletons / bats / ravens / gargoyles / grotesques up all year. Not really into witches, spiders, black cats, zombies, or any harvest-y things (fall leaves, pumpkins, orange, corn, scarecrows, etc.) Tim Burton-esque is very much my style with black and white/purple crooked lines, black swirl-y hills, etc.
Would you be interested in receiving a never-used eyeshadow palette from Nororiously Morbid (gothy colors) and/or a never-used eyeshadow palette from Pretty Vulgar (romantic neutrals)?

No, I don't write - my hands don't work well at writing. I am however trying to start painting (which is funny when I can't write legibly) and I might be able to use some nice watercolor pads and a watercolor set. Or maybe watercolor pens? (I have lots of brushes.) I could also use a starter set of oils.

Nope, I'm destashing so much that I've been giving away my bottle storage boxes. I'm probably going to sell all of my imps and ammo cases as well. (major respiratory... skin breaking out from perfume... too lazy to change my scent locket all the time...)

Hardly ever. Bare feet and sandals the majority of the year except for boots when I go out to feed the animals in the winter (snow from Nov - Feb at LEAST, sometimes September - April.) However, I could use a bunch of nice no show or ankle black cotton. Inexpensive in a pack is totally fine.
Do you have a favorite candy(ies) [or prepacked individual snacks] that you wouldn't mind filling up your box as packing material? Or teas/coffee blends you'd enjoy? If you prefer none of this, that's fine too!
I think most of the tea and snacks I like would be much too expensive to fill up a box as packing material! Unless you can find a ton of the "iced tea" tea candy (I usually get it at an international market in the Seattle area, DK Market. I have a hard time finding any in the Spokane area but maybe I just haven't found the right place) - it's super light, I put it in my swaps and sales.

I grow mugwort and it's harvest season. Would you like dried leaves for bathing or tea? Or a bound bundle for smoke cleansing? (Its said to be excellent for divination or lucid dreaming, but do not use if pregnant.) its also a digestive bitter and tastes great on chicken.

Whole bean or k-cups. I hate Green Mountain k-cups and most el-cheapo ones. I love Peets, Tim Hortons, Dutch Bros, Deathwish Coffee k-cups. For bean, I love Vivace from Seattle (either of their roasts is fine but I always tend towards the ones described as caramel-y or foody and the darker the better), I can do Starbucks small blends/special blends, some seasonal blends, and Sumatra. (Right now I'm drinking Casi Cielo and I have some Anniversary blend from over a year ago, lol. We just found the grinder so most of my beans are really old but so far they seem fine. shrug.) I've found some chocolate orange, black forest, irish cream, and other flavors that I like at coffee shops - (but never the ones from the grocery store or bulk bins. They SMELL good and I'm always tempted but the coffee I make with them is always nasty.) I'm totally open to trying your favorites. I'll drink medium and blonde too, dark is just my go to.

Would you be interested in some very size-inclusive tights? There are Halloween patterns, but also most colours under the sun, and are very comfy.

I like habanero and jalapeno level heat occasionally and I add sour cream if too hot. Chutneys that is harder to do, so maybe way less heat on those. I do love pepper jellies but my dad made like 50 jars of it last time (kind of the bronco berry arby's style) so I'm good for a while but if it's a specialty of yours I would still love to try it! I think I have one jar of plum chutney left so I'm getting low. I was thinking of making some peach but ... not sure yet. I adore spicy dill pickles too, especially with lots of garlic! Dill pickled anything really -- carrots, beans, whatev.

I could use some really good nail strengtheners since my right thumb nail is splitting and won't freaking stop; it's down in the nail bed so I can't cut past the split. I like shimmery and holographic polish but no glitter as I have a hard time getting that off. Only five (seven) free polishes please - I looked through the ingredients and the ones I listed below seem to be ok. Some of the polish on that site is definitely NOT... found some nice colors that contain Ferrocyanide and/or Camphor and/or Toluene. Since I am really picky about clean ingredients, I didn't even look at the other bath and body.

I think I covered this already but I drink mostly black tea. Sometimes herbal (my Breathe Easy and Throat Coat or Aveda Tea/Licorice Mint.) Very occasionally green (especially Jasmine.) I do not like rooibos, mate, or pu erh. White tea is ok. I like matcha but I mostly purchase the matcha packets that you shake up with water because I don't have a milk steamer or the whisk/bowl things that go with matcha. (mmmm matcha lattes.) I love bubble tea too but not sure if that counts here. Mostly lavender milk, rose milk, jasmine milk, or honey milk. Tapioca pearls ftw.

Too many unclean ingredients in their body care. I don't mind the wall flowers but I have a ton because I don't use them very often. The Marshmallow and Fireside roomspray is a yes. Would love that in a wall flower too.

Do you have feelings about fruitcake? We're talking whiskey soaked homemade fruitcake, not a brick in a festive tin. So I've only ever had one fruitcake that I liked -- cherry almond fruitcake (with pears, marzipan, and amaretto.) I usually beg my mom to make me one every year.
Any strong nail polish and/or makeup preferences? I don't usually wear nail polish (except for BPTP polish!) but I have some on my etsy list that changes color (I'm a sucker for color changing things) and I'm really intrigued by ilnp. (Raven, Abyss, Moonstone, Birefringence, Westwing, By Nightfall, Ava, Walking Home, Missed Calls, Deja Vu....) Makeup wise, I only wear prescriptives foundation and powder. What kind of hot drinks do you like, and if tea or coffee or cocoa or cider or alcohol, give specifics? Lately I have been mostly using the keurig to make coffee and tea (or using cold brew coffee.) I do have some coffee beans and tea on my amazon "edibles" wishlist. I like black tea, especially flavored or cinnamon, and mint tea - especially with licorice. (I hate chamomile.) I love sweet hard cider, especially JK Scrumpy and Ace's pumpkin cider. Ghiradelli Double Chocolate cocoa and Vosges Parisian drinking chocolate are my favorites. Alcohol wise, I like just about everything but mostly things like amaretto, baileys, kahlua, sinfire, vanilla vodka, marshmallow vodka, etc.
What kind of candles do you like, scent, etc? Vanillas, spices, woodsy, smoky, incense, marshmallow, patchouli, resins, tobacco.
Mixes or seasonings for the kitchen? I'm probably pretty good on spices since I don't cook much.
What is something new in your life that you wish you had more "things" for? Probably my altar. I could use an altar cloth and some other items.
We do a lot of baking and holiday good ridiculousness around here...house specialties include lebkuchen (flourless, they're mostly nuts, spices, candied fruit), marzipan, butter caramels (flavored or plain), shortbread crisps, and savory cheese shortbread. Any of these sound appealing? Nothing with nuts please. (It's a texture thing - I like nut butters though.) We do caramels too but I'd love to taste yours, especially flavored! Mmmm savory cheese!
What are your top places to get a gift card from? ooh, hard to say. Smellies wise: BPAL/BPTP, Moonalisa, Nocturne Alchemy. Food wise: Panera, MOD Pizza, Qdoba/Chipotle, Trader Joes Otherwise: Amazon, Twisted Fiber Art, The Loopy Ewe, Paradise Fibers, Fresh from the Cauldron (etsy), Teeturtle, ThinkGeek, Costco. I'm sure I could think of more but really anywhere would be a treat.
Which holiday symbols/themes do you like the best (or least)? Such as Santas, snowflakes, reindeer, etc. KRAMPUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Also snowflakes.
Do you like puzzles? I play a lot of puzzle games on my ipad but I don't do anything that requires me to hold a pen/pencil and I no longer do jigsaw puzzles (no place to put them, all of our tables are covered in other projects like cutting boards for fabric, sewing machines, etc. plus one table to eat at.) I went from a huge house, to sharing a basement, to having one small room, so my stuff is pretty crammed in here.
Do you have a strong preference for numbered packages vs randomly picking with maybe a few hints along the way? Nope. Either way is fine.
Are you jonesing for any particular BPAL right now? Anything you are just dying to try, even just a sniffie? Beautiful Macabre, Mummies of Mexico City. (for sniffing)
How do you feel about the following flavors/ingredients: Coconut? I like coconut chips and toasted coconut, coconut oil for cooking, coconut sugar for baking, but I'm not really a fan of things like mounds or almond joy. Mint? I love mint tea (especially combined with licorice root.) Mint frangoes are sometimes good, but otherwise I'm not a huge fan of mint and chocolate, it has to be something I'm in the mood for. Lavender? I love lavender everything. We made lavender vanilla liqueur this year, as well as cordial for lavender lemonade. Rosewater? Also made rose petal liqueur, rose jam, etc. Nom! Cardamom? Yes. Candied citrus peel/marmalade? My mom received some homemade candied orange peel in a recent ravelry swap and they were SO GOOD. Yes. (not a fan of marmalade though.) Anything to absolutely avoid? flavor wise, I'm just having a hard time thinking of what to absolutely avoid beside things like mincemeat, pecan pie, lutefisk, things with nuts or marshmallows (texture, not flavor), etc.
Would you like anything crafted for the storage or transport of the BPAL? (Travel imp containers, boxes for 5mls, bottle cozy, etc.) I use ammo boxes and mint tins for imps and I have tons of boxes (both travel and storage) for bottles, so I'm good there. I wouldn't mind wall display type things for BPAL though! Like nail polish racks or coffin shaped shadow boxes with bpal sized shelves? Someday I am going to order the BPTP wall sconce for bpal bottles. If so, do you prefer them to be plain or decorated? Either or! If decorated, are there any motifs or art that you'd particularly like? I love celtic knots (ravens, dogs, horses, ferrets, just knots), swirly things, nightmare before christmas, bats, corvids, gargoyle/grotesques, skulls/calaveras, eye of horus/ankhs, krampus.
