Weirdgirlpilled Report post Posted March 6, 2024 (edited) Seventh is Sjofn. She is much concerned to direct people’s minds to love, both women and men. Our song to the Norse Goddess of Love is scented with apples and birch and bound with apple blossoms. Soapy cherry blossoms. The tiiiiiiniest tinge of apple underneath, but this is just so soapy on me. Edited March 6, 2024 by Weirdgirlpilled
jmakes Report post Posted July 23 (edited) I got this as a frimp and let it rest for a wek. In the bottle: A little bit winter-y in a pleasant way. I'm also getting some hints of sugar -- there's candy there. Juicy and crisp. There's sweetness that reminds me of almond. Wet on my skin: Continues to be very sweet in a fresh, juicy way. I wouldn't say this is gourmand, but it smells edible, like sweet nuts with some floral notes. Dry on my skin: Mellowing out into something kind of subtly sexy -- it smells like a delicious apple leather notebook I had years ago. The apple is coming through, no longer juicy. But it reminds me of Christmas. Clean, cold, nutty, and kind of a cousin to creamy/nutty gourmands. Throw: Light-medium. I dragged the imp wand across my wrist and I can lightly smell it at an arm's length. Conclusion: Too apple-y and almondy for me, as I prefer sexier scents (wood, rose, skin). Looking at the notes now, I wish the sweet notes had backed down a little so the wood notes could come through. But I think this is a scent that will age beautifully with time. Not for me, but a lovely and interesting blend. Who would wear this: I feel like an elf who works full-time in Santa's orchard would come home smelling like this (in a positive way). Or someone who works in a bookmaking studio where all the leather and paper is made of apples. Smells like being in an apple orchard during the holidays.
