rowanhalifax Report post Posted December 17, 2025 Surprised this doesn't have a review yet! (I came here looking to see if anyone was commenting on its similarities - or lack thereof - to the Pumpkin Buttercream HG from years past.) This is my first FS hair gloss from the Lab & I'm absolutely obsessed! This is one of those scents where I can't easily pick out the individual notes because they've morphed into one new, beautiful scent. The honey contributes a lovely golden richness & the smokiness from the vanilla bean is potent, but very wearable. For all the notes being food-related, I wouldn't say this is explicitly a gourmand, but could definitely be pushed in that direction (or away from it) depending on what perfume oil you pair it with. amoray Report post Posted December 27, 2025 I don't get pumpkin from this. It's creamy vanilla honey. It smells amazing though. Although, it's very strong. I wore this and a friend thought I had accidentally spilled a bunch of honey somewhere. She kept asking "do you need to clean up the honey before we leave?" Britthigdon94 Report post Posted December 31, 2025 I haven’t done too many reviews so bare me with me. In the bottle I can definitely smell the honey, pumpkin and vanilla. On my hair this is where it gets weird but in a good way 😂 on my hair it smells like one of those fall candles but without the overwhelming smell of heavy cinnamon overpowering everything. It almost gives apple? Which is weird because it’s definitely not in the notes. I think it’s the blend of pumpkin and honey with the cream maybe? 🤔 either way I am loving this and although I am a little heavy handed with my glosses, this one is not migraine inducing. It’s more present in the background but still there as everytime I moved my head I would get the most delicious whiffs of it💕
alterosen Report post Posted January 2 (edited) On me, this is all about the honey. Which is fine but I was expecting some spice because I didn't look at the description & thought this was going to be based on Three Witches (Warm cinnamon, husky clove and white pepper) 😅. Oops! (If you're hoping for something similar to Pumpkin Buttercream HG, Pumpkin Brioche French Toast is much closer, though less smoky). doomsday_disco Report post Posted 4 hours ago I have the original release of the perfume oil and blind bottled the hair gloss to pair with it, and to have a pumpkin-y hair gloss without a ton of spice. Alas, this hair gloss doesn't smell like my bottle of The Witches from 2015. Like amoray and alterosen, this is mostly about the honey in my hair. I'm not sure if this is one of those situations where it just smells different in hair gloss form, or if it is a batch variation with this year's perfume (due to all of the variabilities that can happen with components). I'm starting to think it is the latter based off of the few reviews of the 2025 version that have been posted thus far, and it's kind of bumming me out since I planned to buy the 2025 release of the perfume oil before the Weenies go down. I guess I'll sit on my hands and hope for more reviews. But the original version of The Witches has lots of vanilla, cream, lightly spiced pumpkin, and a much more subtle honey note. So I'm surprised that this is as honey-forward as it is!
