I bought this oil primarily for its scent, as I like styrax, mastic, and honey.  Lemongrass is something I tend to amp... and yes, I'm amping it.

When I first put it on it smells almost exactly like an extra-herbally Halls honey lemon cough drop to me!  But the lemongrass disappears quickly it dries down to something pleasant and herbal.  I like it a lot now!

Whether it works or not?  I knew this morning that my BPAL package containing this oil was arriving today.  I had spent the morning crafting an email to a funding organization to consider paying us for some out-of-scope work that I did on a big project.  I sent the email to them just before I walked the 1/3 mile up to my mailbox and back.  And when I was back from the mailbox with my package, I saw that my contact at the organization had agreed and thought our proposal was reasonable.  Yay!   Of course, I wasn't even wearing the oil yet, but maybe it's just that potent!

I had forgotten it was a TAL when I put it on, lol. But here I am, writing a review for the first time in literally years. So there's that.

Reading the description, I realize I was really hoping for a good lemongrass & lavender hit from this. Not much of either so far.

Right after I put it on, I started smelling like (my memories of) Play-doh (maybe the lavender?). Luckily, very soon after that, it became a slightly fruity (but red, berry-like fruits, or possibly plum, not lemongrass) Play-doh, and after about 20 minutes is settling into a sort of powdery musk, with a little bit of sexy.

After a couple of hours, this is mostly musk on me, but a less powdery, warmer, almost woodsy kind of musk. Fruitiness is almost entirely gone, as is the smell of Play doh.

It's pleasant enough, but probably won't become a go-to scent for me. That said, I won't mind having it on when I want to use it for communication vibes.
