doomsday_disco Report post Posted July 11 A fortunate accident wherein a copious glob of aged patchouli was erroneously en’globbened into the mother bottle of Whip.
LavenderCoffee Report post Posted July 21 As an enjoyer of many of the BPAL leather notes and also of the various roses, I have always been slightly grumped that Whip does not really whip for me - it feels a bit too clean, almost? So I pounced when they said they added some patchouli and I am quite pleased. I am reminded of 2021's All While Dreaming, Shakes Her Head, which is a favorite of mine - there is less patch here, but it feels like the same patch, paired with a sharp leather instead of a sharp fruit. Less throw, as well, but sweeter on the drydown like a bit of aftercare.
SmellsPrettyGood2Me Report post Posted July 26 The predominant note I get from first whiff to last is rose, the same red rose of course that Whip is known for. I do not get much patchouli at all, more of a drop than a glob. Throw is very modest! This is pretty but not markedly different from the OG Whip, which on me has generally been pleasantly soapy.
