BPAL Madness!

Classic 90’s goth glamour: oman frankincense, champaca orchid, black narcissus, opoponax, honeyed black amber, wild plum, tuberose, 13-year aged patchouli root, blood musk, and smoky bourbon vanilla husk.

This is fresh out of the hot summer mail box.
first impression is this smells like black lace, and melancholy of goths had a baby. Creamy and lacy with the strongest notes for me being incense, patchouli and plum. The vanilla husk and honeyed amber in the background grounds everything and provides and softness. This smells dark, but not dangerous or edgy, which is something I was not expecting. I usually amp blood notes, but not getting anything in that department.

Yes.... Yes, yes!!

First impression from the bottle; just got it in today so it may need more settling, but i am excited; there is this dusty, fabricy and soft mix of the frankincense, champaca, opoponax, amber, patchouli root and musk which is a dusky dark grey swirled mix, backed by a colder white-blueish floral. No blood-anything for me.

On skin and drydown there is a more creamy note, reminiscent (but not close to) the white clown paint note, soft - a mix of the bourbon vanilla and the black amber. The plum amps a bit and adds a soft, squishy purple streak

This smells more like a skin musk to me, a really good wish-i-smelled-like-this skin musk. With some throw (it's not super close to the skin). Really glad I got this in the end, it's so different from most of what I tried and it's a lovely "journey" to wear each time.

Been coming back every few weeks to try and leave a review for this one.... it's hard to describe. Please be nice. :')
