    Love Smooch

A sweet and carefree fruity floral. This is primarily juicy pomegranates and light pink apple and rose blooms on me. It's quite airy and unobtrusive, refreshing! The scrub is quite scrubby with sugar and little bits of seeds and perhaps petals (?) in it so those looking to exfoliate will find it does well. I personally have sensitive dry skin so I chose to lightly smooth on, let it sit, and then rinse off. The scent is fleeting, unfortunately, after the rinse off, and doesn't last very long outside of the shower once I've toweled dry. It's a shame because the scent itself is a winner. Still, it's a lovely experience in the shower. I don't think I'll go for more than a decant since it's a bit too harsh for my overly sensitive skin but I'll treasure this lovely-scented bit I do have!

    Recollection Bath Oil

Recollections is a lovely, fluffy, comfort scent. It is primarily cocoa butter on my skin with a definitely vanilla marshmallow bedding. I do not get chamomile at all. This is straight up buttery cocoa butter and soft sweet marshmallow cream. It's very sweet but very gentle. Not overbearing at all! Falls pretty comfortably into a gourmand category. Heavier and creamier than Stekk. I want to cuddle up with this scent and sleep with it.

    Dragon's Bone(r)

I expected this to be like Dragon's Milk, and it is, but it's much more airy and floral. This is first and foremost a dragon's blood scent which always smells a bit like cherry floral incense to me. The pear blossom brings out a general sense of spring-like floral fragrance and a gentle undercurrent of honey and cream keeps everything smooth and sweet. Clean, sweet, and gentle. Low throw and much less obtrusive than Dragon's Milk. This may require a bottle.

    Enveloped in Silk Hair Gloss

This is truly the stuff! I have so many amazing hair glosses that it's insane but this one is right up there with the best. It starts off as fresh, juicy, summer red strawberries. It's exactly the scent you get when you bite into a huge ripe berry. The kind that's just on the edge of being too ripe but not quite there yet so it's soft and overly sweet and perfect. Then the cream wafts in and it's a glorious golden-edged whipped cream that combined with the clean airy white musk smells like clouds in the sunlight. Over time the strawberries do become a bit less realistic and it all just melts down into a big fluffy pile of pink berry cream. But it's still absolutely wonderful and perfect and this is instantly a winner that might even need a back up. I actually find the throw to be fairly low. It's a gentle but consistent scent and I want to slather myself in it and live this way forever.

    Volcano in Springtime

This is lovely! I totally agree with LiberAmoris that this is the Stekk of the Lupers. Wet it's dominated by a rich almost buttery vanilla cream. As it dries, it takes on a slightly more airy tone very similar to the vanilla marshmallow tone in Stekk. Then the sandalwood begins to emerge and while the vanilla cream is the main player, the sandalwood is an invaluable support that adds a warm woody glow to the whole blend. I would even consider it slightly smokey. I also do not detect the lotus although my nose isn't very well-trained as far as picking out individual supporting notes at this point. The throw is very low. This is a cozy skin scent that you would want to wear while wrapping yourself up in a nice fluffy warm blanket. I'm very much considering a bottle.

    Red Musk

Bright Red Dildo from this year's Lupers is red musk, leather, and honey. Along the same lines, Eldritch Dark is sugared roses (I believe you like sugared florals, too, if I recall correctly), leather, red musk, black musk, and honey. I like Dildo but Eldritch Dark is on a whole other level. I loooove it and would recommend it highly based on your love of honey and red musk. I don't often get along with black musk but find it's not overt at all in Eldritch. Agree with sprout that Smut may be right up your alley as well.

    Love's Philosophy

Love's Philosophy starts off on me as saffron-heavy which translates on my skin to something almost chalky and plastic-like. I can see where people might be getting root-beer from this although on my skin I wouldn't necessarily describe it as such. However, within a few minutes it warms into a gorgeous airy cream and saffron. This is quite lovely. I would recommend it to anyone who is fond of cream scents. It's definitely leaning well toward gourmand the cool airy aspect is enough on me that it doesn't quite have to solidly stick there. ETA: This is the 2016 version.

El Dia de los Reyes Hair Gloss

El Dia is very straightforward. Hot chocolate (the powdered kind) and a hint of cinnamon. No coffee here either. It reminds me of the dry chocolate in Muddy Puddles without the marshmallows. If that's the kind of scent you like, then El Dia is for you!

To His Mistress Going to Bed

This starts up strongly smokey patchouli which smells thick and woody to me. I don't get the other notes until about 15 minutes of wear at which point the fig pokes out its head very slightly. The scent is still dominated by the patch but the fig is definitely there in the background, sweet and almost chewy. All in all this is a scent for lovers of woody, smokey patchouli supported by small amount of fig. I'm hoping aging may bring out some more notes. This is not at all an unpleasant scent but unfortunately rather one-dimension for me as of now.

    Bright Red Dildo

Bright Red Dildo is in much the same vein as Eldritch Dark for me, just without the roses. It's a sweet, musky honey and leather. The "red" is almost certainly red musk as others have identified. I find that it starts heavy on the leather and honey but soon calms into a honeyed musk with just a hint of a sharp edge from the leather. This is rich, sultry, and dark. I'm smitten. Would definitely pair this with Eldritch Dark HG. If you like Eldritch you may very well like this as well.

    Adrastea

The milk and coconut combo in this are very similar to the same combo in Obatala. I do actually get quite a bit of coconut with an equal amount of sweet creamy milk. The honey is very prominent as well and the rose is definitely there but behaves by standing just off to the side where it gently wafts its petals in the background. The cacao and amber are grounding, slightly powdery, and faint. This is a lovely, sweet, soft scent The throw is about the same as Obatala on me which is fairly low but by no means requiring nose touching wrist levels of sniffing to smell. A beautiful warm and cozy scent! I'm so happy I chanced a blind bottle.

    Marshmallow Cookie Pie Hair Gloss

Absolutely chocolate chip and marshmallow cookie decadence. Definitely chocolate and definitely sweet delicious baked goods real enough to eat. This is strong stuff. One small squirt lasted me quite a while and I'm normally a two or three squirt gal. The throw was also quite impressive!

    Blueberry Cream Pie Bath Oil

Tart sweet blueberry filling mixed with sweet cream. There is a definitely flaky buttery crust aspect as well. This is juicy, buttery, and creamy all at once. Unfortunately, on my skin smelled like mildew! I suspect this would have worked better as a hair gloss for me because of the weird skin chemistry going on but this is a delectable and delightful scent. If only my skin chemistry thought so as well.

    Key Lime Pie Bath Oil

Sweet graham cracker crust and tart creamy lime. Very spot-on to the pie in the bottle. However, on my skin it went straight to plastic. On me it smells more like a key lime scented plastic doll than the delicious pie it was in the bottle, alas. However, your milage may vary of course! Many other people seem to have had much better luck with it.

    Peach Pie Bath Oil

Syrupy spicy juicy peach filling. This is a warm, full scent with a definite kick of sweet yummy pie spices. I do not really detect a pie crust at all. The star of the show here is the peach and it's glorious. Absolutely my favorite of the pies I've sampled.

    The Snow at Dusk

I also get an echo of the soft creamy snow from Snow White at first sniff but it soon because quite a bit drier. There is a definite whiff of ozone (yes, a bit soapy) and lovely florals. On dry down the floral takes over, pushing aside the ozone and snow. The scent sweetens to become primarily florals and soft, almost dusty slightly ozone-y snow. This scent smells gray and soft to me. Faint and quiet. It is a clean, elegant, dusky scent that manages to be floral without overwhelming. As someone who can sometimes find floral perfumes to induce headaches, I find Dusk quite pleasing. It is my favorite of the snows I've tried this year.

    Krampus

Krampus goes on a bit sharp and woody but soon dries down to a more mellow dusty black leather and a faint whiff of red musk. The wood and dust are at the forefront for me, followed by leather and then again by the red musk which lurks just off in the background. Red musk has always read as slightly fruity and slightly bubblegum on me and the same can be said here, but it's extremely tempered by the other notes. This wears surprisingly neutral on me. It's warm, faint, and quite nice. Definitely leaning more on the traditionally masculine side of things but I think easily wearable by any gender who would reveal in slightly sinister dusty, musky woody scents. While I'm not finding myself springing for a bottle, I will happily keep and wear my decant.

    The Bear Prince

Immediately wet on my skin, the Bear Price is a dewy fresh rose. Unfortunately, many of the Lab's roses are hit or miss for me and this one is a miss. As it dries, the rose goes a bit sour and almost begins to smell of citronella to me. There is a definitely fuzzy musk going on in the background. Unfortunately, the final product for me sums up to sweat and rose-scented citronella bug spray. Really sad about this one and no doubt it would be better for rose lovers with kinder skin chemistry.

    The Queen's Croquet Ground

I received this as a Goblin squirt from the kind Goblins in a Post order and I'm glad I did because I love it but would have never thought to buy it otherwise. It does exactly what it says on the label: Smells like freshly cut grass and roses. I get the grass as the forefront and the rose following up fairly strong but definitely after. Sweet green grass and spring roses. This smells like a fresh air summer lawn with sunlight spilling over. The perfect setup for a game of croquet.

    Claudian’s Phoenix

This is woody, earthy, and sweet. I get a definite sense of sweet rich dirt and thick ripe figs. This is a lovely, full round scent and will appeal to anyone who likes earthy scents with a bit of sweetness. The frank is subdued and I would not have guessed it was in here if not for knowing the notes. I do not actually detect any pomegranate although there is a definite sweetness. It is not overbearing on my skin at all, though. Very nice!

    Apocalyptic Scents?

Some of the Good Omens scents come to mind. Particularly Famine (Sleek black tea, tobacco leaf, frankincense, lilac, and white musk.) and War (Red ginger, black spices, patchouli, honeysuckle, and three blood-soaked red musks.) Also, from an LE standpoint, perhaps anything from the Plagues of Egypt?

A Moment in Time Hair Gloss

This is a soft sweet vanilla, fig and patch on me. It starts off figgy and thick then dries down to a sweet woody scent that's incredibly comforting and absolutely beautiful. This is warm and lovely. The patch is not too sharp or "dirty" but plays well lending itself to the wood as a bit of warmth and texture. I wear it as a comfort scent. It works just as well at night before bed or in the morning before a rough day. Perfection!

Captain Lilith and Her First Mate Hair Gloss

Captain Lilith is lovely buttery creamy vanilla cupcakes. I don't get much of the rum at all but I am getting the coconut folks are talking about so that might be the rum itself? I can definitely see the Midway association. This is chock full of sweet thick gut-rotting goodness! This is warm and almost nutty. Very tasty without being sickeningly sweet. Throw on me is medium. Does seem to have pretty good lasting power as my somewhat liberal application (3 sprays) lasted basically the whole day.

    Black Phoenix

This smelled like dark cherry in the bottle but on my skin became an odd hybrid of cherry, rose, and something that smells like citronella incense. Yikes. After a bit of time to dry it settles into a powdery rose with a hint of sweet spices. This is much better but the weird bitter citronella taint is still lurking beneath it. I WISH I was getting sweet marzipan or even cola as a few reviewers have mentioned. I wanted to like this as it is the Lab's signature namesake but apparently my skin doesn't want to cooperate.

    The Waltz

Wet, I get a blast of fizzy rose champagne. As it dries, the champagne softens immediately and the white rose steps forward as the main player. It's a soft, sweet rose. Perhaps toned down by the vanilla amber which I cannot actually detect but may just be lending a general sense of warmth and sweetness to the scent. This is smooth and subtle. It definitely comes across as "fancy" and feminine. I don't personally detect the ambergris beneath the rose but of course your results may vary.
