    Faith

Faith smells a lot like Antique Lace. I noticed it also smells kind of like Possets Sugared Violets, which I really liked, but this is much better. I love Antique Lace, and had no idea there was another Antique Lace "something else" out there! I have a bottle of Black Lace coming, and I hear it smells like AL and Dracul. Can't wait! I love Faith, it's def. keeper.

What do bottles and labels look like?

Does anyone know where I can find a collective group of pics of all the Lunacy tees? Thanks!

    The Atrocious Attic

Opened it, smelled it, knew I'd love it! In the bottle it reminds me of a mix of O, Regan and Bordello. As LadyMedB noted, I also get some Mouse's Long Sad Tale, but then again, all 4 of those scents strongly remind me of each other. I do smell some soap on my skin, but I kind of like that scent, so it's not a turn off for me. The thing I like about this is that it stays for awhile, doesn't fade. And I am very drawn right now to anything with violet, which I love immensly. This has a nice throw, and as usual, a very complex drydown with a chance to smell each note distinctly. I love this and am considering hoarding another bottle before it's too late!

    Herr Drosselmeyer

I had never smelled Herr D. before but read the descrip. and thought I'd like it. So I bid on a bottle on eBay, won, and awaited the mail with baited breath. Incidentally, I'm ALWAYS waiting on the mail with baited breath! Or maybe that's just bad breath. Whatever. Anyhoo, got it, opened it, thought hmmmmm, this doesn't smell like pipe smoke! I like the smell of pipe smoke, reminiscent of being a kid with my Pap. And Bordello smells just like cherry vanilla pipe smoke on me, so I had high hopes for Herr D. But alas, it was not meant to be. On me, it just smells like wet, stinky leather with some kind of funk. It's almost bitter on my skin. When it's dry for an hour or two, it doesn't get any better on me, although I do get a faint whiff of cherry. Sadly, this is one of the ones I wanted to work well but doesn't.

    Beaver Moon 2007

I don't smell this at all. I wish I did! I get spicey, chai scents with no strawberry or cherry. Why is it, to me at least (and I'm sure not to everyone), that many autumn scents smell quite similar? All the pumpkins smell very, very like each other to me, as well as Beaver Moon. I have to say, I didn't even try it on. I don't like that scent very much. Sad.

    Swan Maiden

I don't generally like gardenia, so I bought this for the muget and jonquil. I'm glad I did! Although it's a strong floral in the bottle, it calms down after a half an hour without going powdery! Yay! I definetly smell the gardenia. I wish I smelled more muget. Actually, ALL muget would be nice! This is more of a spring scent for me, and am hoping the gardenia will fade by March so I can slather up with it. A keeper, not a swapper.

    Marshmallow Poof

Perfect. White sugar marshmallow, like the white Stay Pufft kind I ate when I was a kid. Like the little mini ones you heat up and make Rice Krispie Treats out of! I love Midway, but I hate the dry down where it goes almost cheap candle waxy underneath the sugar. Marshmallow Poof doesn't do that at all! I read someones review where they said smoky undertones and I must say I agree. Very nicely done!

    Egg'd Mailbox

Fresh egg, just starting to warm nicely in the sun! In bottle: Vanilla, custard, but not overly sweet. On: Faint. For some reason, my skin really absorbs this, which is a first! I smell a hint of nutmeg somewhere in there, too. Overall: I'm a little disappointed in my skin (not the scent, which is wonderful) because I wanted to be able to smell it on me more. It really gets sucked into my skin. But I don't care, I'm not swapping, no no no, my pretty......

    Selkie

Mmmmmmm......Selkie! I love this! Got it in a swap here on the forum, and it just arrived today. I had forgotten what the primary ingredients were in here. I definetly smell the primrose primarily, which is wonderful! In the bottle it reminded me of my childhood. I don't know what that is, but I from time to time have that memory/scent from BPAL oils. Maybe something my Mom or G'ma wore, I don't know. Wet it smelled like deodorant, but in a good way. Not your average pitt spray! Dry down it smells like the roses mingled with something else, maybe something green. I saw sea aster as an ingredient, that may be what it is. Overall I love this and am SO glad I got it!

    Inferno

This is me: "Ooooo, cinnamon! I love cinnamon!"Swabbing on back of hand: "Mmmmmmm, what else is that in there, it smells floral, too."10 minutes later: "Ack! Hack! Cinnamon! Inferno!"I love it. What can I say? I love cinnamon!By the way...and I would NEVER EVER recommend you do this...I licked it.And guess what?It tastes like cinnamon! And flowers. Kind of soapy.

    The Death of Autumn

Arrrgghhhh! Clove! Chrysanthemum! What was I thinking?!?!?!? I don't like clove. And I've never met a clove that liked me! Off to the swap pile with you, Death of Autumn!

    Dia de los Muertos

Ok, so this is a stretch for me. I don't really like cactus. Probably because I've never smelled anything I really like where that is a main ingredient. But this has a nice floral over top of everything else, and then there's the tobacco which I LOVE. I like this. It could become a top runner for my Autumn faves. We'll see. I don't really appreciate the chocolate, but it does kind of work itself in there somewhat complimentary. Maybe it's just my skin that makes the chocolates go weird sometimes. Overall, a keeper. I'm anxious to let it age and see what it becomes.

    October

After a very large purchase from the Lab, I think it's safe to say that so far, I like their autumnal scents the best out of the ones I've tried so far. I haven't been around long enough for winter or spring though, so we'll see.... Now, about October: Warm. I smell something of Bordello or O in here. Wonder what the similar note is? I love Bordello! On the dry down, it's nothing like Bordello, or O for that matter, but still very nice and warm. It almose smells manly after a good, long dry down. But in a good way.

    All Souls

Ok, let me say that when I read the description of "offertory soul cakes" on the website description, I was skeptical that I might not like it. But this is sooooooo nice! Definetly something I'd want to wear in autumn. I'm a scent/seasonal kinda gal. Can't wear the light stuff unless it's spring, or the heavier scents unless it's winter (you get the picture). This is very incensy, but not overly strong. Reminds me of a head shop. I like it a lot and should probably buy another bottle before it's outta here!

    Pumpkin V (2007)

Ahhh, my favorite of the patch! I really enjoy the lab's vanilla and blood orange scents. Mix it up with some pumpkin, bourbon, lemon and ginger and it's a keeper! I think I like it so much because it doesn't scream PUMPKIN! Normally, I wouldn't like pumpkin-y scents at all, but the entire patch was done so well, I enjoy each one of them in their own right. But #5 is my favorite-est of all!

    Pumpkin IV (2007)

I like this, but it's a little weird. I dont' think I've ever smelled anything with sweetgrass in it before, so maybe that's what's throwing me off. It's one of those "I like it but could live without it" scents for me.

    Pumpkin III (2007)

Choclate and carmel! Chocolate and carmel! CHOCOLATE AND CARMEL! I love it! I swabbed the entire Pumpkin Patch on different points of my arm about an hour ago, and this one is still singing! Not over powering, just nicely subtle.

    Pumpkin II (2007)

I really enjoy anything with tobacco and tonka, and this blend was no exception! A deeper, more complex pumpkin scent. Very warm. I like it!

    Pumpkin I (2007)

I don't smell so much jasmine here, which is good, because I don't like jasmine too much. Nor do I get pear. But I DO smell a bit of grape - and I LOVE BPAL's grape scents! After about an hour it is still pumpkin/grapey. Very nice, autumnal scent.

    The Isle of the Dead

Hot dogs. Hot dogs left to bake in the sun of a deserted isle. Nope....that's the dead humans baking in the sun! I don't like this. It's not for me. But i did read lots of nice reviews on it. In theory, it sounds good, and the name is catchy. But ooooohhhh, I don't want to smell like an Oscar Myer weiner!
  21. hellomoonglow

    Sophia

Another scent that smells overwhelmingly mint with a splash of hot dogs. Weird. Not for me.
  22. hellomoonglow

    Mata Hari

Reading the description, it seems like I'd like this. But it kinda smells like nuts and nutty cereal and something else.....rose. Not for me but please, feel free to indulge yourself and swap me!

    Temple of Dreams

The only way I'd wear this is if I wanted to dream about hot dogs smothered in eucalyptus. Ick.

    The Scales of Deprivation

This scent is so deep and full, I feel like I could reach in and grab it. If a person were wearing this, I'd want to hug them. It's just comforting and strong. I smell faint lavander and lemon. Whatever else is in there is just such a nice mixture. This is SO bottle worthy!

    Titania

I love this! It's pear with a musky, fruity background. I loved it in the imp, and I love it even more on me! Definetly a keeper.
