Soursop is super underrated, so I LOVE seeing it shine here!!! The honey is there, though subtle to my nose. It's lovely and cuts through the insane humidity here which is refreshing. Absolutely going to get a bottle of this before it goes away forever.

Clean and a touch salty, as advertised imo. It's almost a little too clean for my liking, like you just got out of the shower clean and maybe dusted yourself with the lightest powder. I love a good skin musk but this one just isn't for me. Skin must with honey dust? I am ALL OVER that one. this one isn't bad, wears well all day. I can understand the hype/love for it.

I had high hopes....and was sorely disappointed. Also like Mufasa, the spices were in the forefront and absolutely nothing else. This one does the very weird savory spice thing that Peach-Glazed Donut with Mango did, which btw we've determined it's cumin. Why did this become cumin. I am SO upset about this one because it could have been SO SO GOOD.

This is definitely more cardamom than blueberry for me, and I'm A-OK with that!! I don't know that I pick up on the chilled cream at any point, but this is yummy enough that I don't care too much lol. Good longevity too.

oooh this smells like an ultra decadent version of those chocolate oranges at first wet sniff from the bottle!! On weardown the tobacco comes out, and while I previously hadn't had great experiences with this now, it's very pleasant here and doesn't stomp on everything else. It's mostly tobacco and ebony, the dry cacao and orange come and go. As it continues to settle, it starts to get a little perfumey and somehow gives cleaner vibes... Not terrible but not what I want to be wearing. I'm glad to have had the chance to try this, even though it's not what I'd wear. Would have had a good wear time on me if I didn't go scrub it off.

Wet from the bottle - it's a blast of cypress and way more than a sprig of rosemary. I proceed with caution. Weardown: Ah, there are the lavender buds and a very heady bouquet. Not my jam and I can see this wearing very well even though I won't be wearing it that long. The rosemary didn't stick around and at least the cypress settled a bit. It does feel like a very somber bouquet.

lab frottle 2026! Not my jam (as a perfume)! very green and like splendidissima, Irish Spring-like and would be better for a bathroom spray or spa day. It lasted a bit longer on me than I'd have cared for (2-3 hrs).

Dark Chocolate, Black Fig, and Campfire Smoke Atmosphere Spray
Thuy replied to doomsday_disco's topic in Atmosphere
I want to love this one, but the campfire smoke takes over the blend...and I accidentally used it as a hair gloss the one day LOL. I get the bitter chocolate and smoke, and I don't know if I ever pick up on the black fig (I reeeeeeally want it)... Glad for a decant but unsure of if it'll....smooth itself out.- 1 reply

This was a little intimidating from the bottle because there's a tang to it that makes me nervous (a tang that usually meant this could go sour on me), BUT thankfully the tang went away fast when applied! This is as advertised, candy strawberries and beeswax! Though the strawberries do lean a little wine-like at first (probably that opening tang). This ultimately dries down as a warm slightly sweetened beeswax and I'm very happy.

This is almost all incense on me and it makes me sad.... The glorious honeyed peach was only around for barely a hot minute and then it's like champaca incense like doomsday_disco noted. And that's it all day on me. Unfortunately gave me a headache so to the destash it goes... I'll go back to my spun sugar cherry incense now.

This is such a lovely bookish scent where the leather isn't super stompy... the leather here is soft, well-worn, and behaves quite well with the other notes. Great snuggly scent for a dreary day, that's for sure! I got a decant out of curiosity and so glad that I did! Everything is well blended imo. Not gonna lie, I wanted more beeswax but then this wouldn't be the book scent as advertised lol.

Not as sugared as I hoped for, but it's a nice light airy pink floral with some sweetness underneath it all. Not candy-like or cloying. I don't pick up on the vanilla? but ymmv.

Tart lemon cream opening but somehow doesn't scream foodie at you. An hour or so the cream fades off and it's just a golden warm amber musk for the rest of the short wear time of 4 hours total for me. To me it's cozy in the -wink wink nudge nudge- kind of way, or just exxxtra good cuddles lol.

I find SO flankers fun and absolutely had to know what this was about...and I'm a little disappointed? It's strong lavender and a hint of SO at first sniff, and in the weardown I was hoping for the cotton candy and honey to come through. This one reads as almost all lavender and some SO, the barest hint of rosewater in the background. I don't get the honey or cotton candy Oh, and the SO doesn't even stick around which I thought was strange. Is it me? Is it just this SO flanker??? No idea but I haven't cared enough for it to warrant keeping the bottle.
-
This is so pleasantly strange to me. Fruity opening, then settles into salty florals that lean a touch soapy, also bitter from the mandarin rind. Good throw and wear time. I wish I got more pineapple than wet/in bottle.

Dead Leaves, Vanilla Bean, Pink Fig, and Brandied Dates
Thuy replied to Seajewel's topic in Halloweenie
I've only ever known DL to be screechy until I let it sit for a few months and it settles....so this particular one surprised me! It's a smooth fruity with a hint of vanilla dead leaves, and I'm glad to have been frottled this. It wears well through the day with medium throw.- 10 replies

At first sniff, I get inked paper and light florals, with just a touch of sweetness (is that you, honey). On weardown: floral beeswax, hint of smoke, paper and ink, polished woods. This is actually wearing really nicely. it's ultimately like a warm woodsy slightly waxy sweet frag that wears quite well and I'm going to need more than a decant. I wish I knew which leather note is in this, because it's tame and very pleasant.

Bruh, this is like someone took the Martinelli Sparkling Apple Cider and made it wearable without the sticky sweetness! The bubbly note, effervescence, is SO GOOD. It's like the lab's champagne note but like, hold the booze. This definitely has the crisp apple to it without being tart or bitter. It's really pleasant. I only wish that it lasted longer than 3-4 hours, and didn't have a strange dry down. It faded into something oddly waxy... Otherwise it's a stellar single note.
-
I want to love this one, but I don't think it's meant to be. It's a sugar plum lavender blast at first, and then settles into sugar plum marshmallow, but never really anything that encapsulates all three notes. Still quite the soft purple scent though.
-
I did not anticipate to like this, but hot damn, I was proven so wrong. A sniff from the vial/bottle does not do this one justice. It has a gorgeous dark chocolate cherry vibe of an opening, and then it leans into that dark cacao and musk.... A little bit to warm up and the orchid blooms and isn't overwhelming. Just a touch sweet, just a touch perfumey, all around dark and stunning. The black musk is well behaved and honestly didn't think black musk and black orchid were going to be such a fantastic combo. Will be slathering the rest of my decant and may consider upsizing!

Holy bananas, Batman! I was anxious about the dark patchouli in this but it's surprisingly not bothering me!!! Now to scouring the secondhand market for a second bottle.... Anywho, peach blast on the opening that then settles to be a very, very, filthy peach. Very much peach and red musk, with extra dark musk in the back and fruity fig behind it. The amber helps with anchoring the scent, and wow I got an 8 hr wear from a light application. Very juicy peach that I LOVE.

mmm sniff impressions from the bottle: definitely a fruity floral - peach, honeysuckle and a hint of lemon zing. weardown: ahhh now it's honeysuckle, peach and then the lemon! It's a lovely mid-summer blend imo and I'm not one to go near florals much, let alone actually wear one. It did have a moment of being dryer sheet/laundry detergent on me, which was baffling btw, but it did resettle down into an ambery floral that is a touch powdery. I do wish that the peach stuck around longer but it's at least there. it wears well through an 8 hour work day! happy to have had the chance to try this!

Sniff: whoa, perfumey right off the bat. I pick up on the bay leaf and then I think it's oakmoss and balsam after it. Nothing sweet here, so taht'll probably come out on my skin as it warms up. Weardown: very bay leaf and oakmoss, balsam hanging out. here's hoping that the fruits will come out as it warms up. oh, the fruits mellow everything out and this is gorgeous. I don't pick out one thing over another, it's all pretty blended on me. Great longevity - lasted a good 8 hours on me!
-
From the bottle, it's definitively a sparkling clean scent. Something that'd help with clearing your mind for the task at hand. Once applied, holy bananas. It is STRONG with very good throw, almost alarmingly good throw for just a few test dabs! My nose was not prepared! The cedar and juniper leaf warm up, and with the elderflower, this is a heavy clear floral. Clear as in its presence is very much there but the aldehyde gives it an airiness. This could have easily worn well all day but it was unfortunately a scrubber for me.

There was nothing that could have prepared me for this one. I have no idea what fossilized amber was going to be like, and was very intrigued by how reactor coolant was going to be captured in a perfume. On initial sniff, it's cool, kinda refreshing, which I'm guessing is that ozone that's common in these Lightning strikes blends, plus something else (maybe cucumber that was previously mentioned???). This is super pleasant to wear and it lasted ALL DANG DAY in this stupid hot humid weather currently. Something about this goes slightly bubblegummy on me, which again, was not at all prepared for or expecting, and it sits wonderfully on top of the red musk and amber. It's not sharp or overwhelming (lightning strikes literature about choked me out). I love this and may go back for a backup bottle!
