I'm getting a lot of graveyard dirt with faint juniper and patchouli. It's a very dirty green type of scent, like I covered myself in dirt from the forest. It's very sharp and strong when wet, but it calms down in around 30 minutes and is much more wearable now. This is a newer imp, so I'm hoping with some aging the dirt will calm down and I'll get more juniper.

Figgy chocolate vanilla pudding with touches of spice. I am not familiar with quince so I don't think I could identify it in this blend. Was not expecting to like this as much as I am, even though I'm not getting any pear notes. It's a fun, fruity chocolate scent. I am not getting dark chocolate from this though, it really smells closer to chocolate pudding on me.

Minty banana pineapples with a drizzle of honey. I was a little worried about the mint in here; I didn't know how well that note would play with the fruits. In my case, it's in the background and a little faint, and way more strong when wet. I'd say it's closer to a vanilla mint. Runts candy is a pretty accurate comparison that another reviewer mentioned. The fruits in here are definitely artificial smelling like you'd find in candy.

Amber apples pretty much. Kind of getting a faint grassy note along with this and hints of the vanilla husk and cedar. Pretty soapy as it fades and has a very low throw. Not what I was anticipating, I am enjoying it but I hope aging will soften the apple note a bit. No oud either.

Creamy nutmeg cheesecake. Not getting any boozy notes until it starts to fade, and that's mostly the spiced rum. Definitely just smells like a plain cheesecake at times, which I'm a fan of. I would have liked a little bit more booze, but regardless I'm still a fan of this!

I can't even review this accurately because there's so much going on and it shifts a million times. If you've got an imp box filled with various GC scents, that's pretty much exactly what this smells like. Every note in existence blended together. The only thing I can specifically pick out is rose because I think I amp that, and I bet that's from a Mad Tea Party oil. Maybe linen or baby powder. A lot of fun to test and bonus points for the awesome label. You never know what you're gonna get when you wear this. If you want to try something similar, check out Carnaval Rat. Same idea, but it's Carnaval Diabolique scents instead of the General Catalog!

This is so strange, I bought this after trying the Winter 2020 release thinking this wouldn't be too much different than my imp. Boy, was I wrong. In the bottle and wet, it's literally bubblegum. Like the pink liquid amoxicillin medication kind of fake bubblegum scent. Not at all hot buttered rum, even when it's drying. It does lose that bubblegumness eventually, but it stays around a while and is pretty faint. So I've never had hot buttered rum, but I feel like the Yule 2014 or Winter 2020 versions would be more accurate. I do love bubblegum so I'll keep this around for sure, but I am disappointed this isn't anywhere near close to my decant. Here is my 2020 review if you're curious about the difference between this and the newer version.

Predominately dead leaves in the bottle and wet on the skin, the black licorice doesn't come out until it starts to try and then it overtakes the leaves. As it fades, it's just dead leaves. Not as licorice heavy as I was anticipating, but it's still a good Dead Leaves blend. These notes go really well together! As someone who loves the smell of licorice but hates eating it, this is a winner.

Not what I expected at all. No leather, it's a smoky sweet blend of tobacco and clove with gingerbread in the background. On me, I'm only really getting cinnamon from the gingerbread. Kinda resembles potpourri as it fades. This is nice! I've got so many gingerbreads I probably won't be grabbing a bottle of this, but it's beautiful.

Lilac bergamot scented dryer sheets. That's basically it, lol. No pomegranate, no orange peel, and no amber. It's not what I expected at all. Not horrible, but definitely not something that deserves an upgrade. Could be amazing with the right skin chemistry, I suppose.

Apple and orange florals with just the faintest hint of Snake Oil. Wish Snake Oil was more prominent in this, all I can pick up is some of the vanilla which doesn't go too well with the rest of the notes in my eyes. It's faint and stays low to the skin. As it fades, I'm left with a musky floral blend. It's alright, I wish the florals weren't as strong.

Nooo cotton candy . This is white chocolate cinnamon cookies and a little but of silver tinsel. The cookie note is somewhat similar to Sugar Cookie to me, but covered in chocolate and silver. Luckily, I'm not getting a plasticky note like other reviewers have mentioned. Soo bummed out about cotton candy, but I still like it.

This doesn't remind me of rum. It's cinnamon clove potpourri with a snow note that resembles coconut. It's not bad, but wow is the potpourri type scent long lasting. Wish I got more of the rum, but I like this regardless. Just might want to wear it for layering.

Soapy floral cherry blossom with soft cotton candy. It's mostly cherry blossom on me. No clove or blood on me, which the latter is a bit disappointing. I'm not familiar with cherry blossom so I do enjoy this for that scent alone, and can't go wrong with cotton candy. Fades pretty fast in about a couple of hours, but it's lovely while it lasted.

This is just a sweet vanilla birthday cake, plain and simple. The frosting resembles cream cheese to me. The vanilla does not get play-doh on me. It's more frosting heavy than the cake. The description is no joke: super sugary! Simple but really good if you love the frosting part of cakes more than the cake itself.

Strawberry jam and lots of roses. I'm actually not getting any motor oil, which could be a good or bad thing depending on how much you wanted that note to appear. As it fades, it's mostly a rose scent with a little bit of the jam. The strawberry note in here reminds me of Rope Pulley! Even without the motor oil, I really like this. I wish the strawberry stayed around a little longer than the roses though.

Cinnamon cupcakes with maple syrup and vanilla buttercream frosting. The chai gets stronger as it dries and the cinnamon fades on me. Initially reminded me of pumpkin spice. Pretty good, was not expecting the maple syrup like note but I really like it.

I love this, sugary cotton candy with faint traces of dragon's blood and some spices. Cotton candy starts out as the main note, but eventually the dragon's blood and incense like notes get stronger. I'm sure this would be a good compliment to blood themed perfumes, but this is definitely super sweet so it might not work with them all. Love that it's GC as well!

Soft snowy lilac musk and tobacco flower with plum and opium in the background. The snow note doesn't stick around too long, so this mostly ends up as a lilac musky opium plum blend. It is pretty faint and is almost gone in just a few short hours. Not bad, but I wish it stuck around longer on me.

Powdery faint pomegranate and smoky myrrh. There's some currant too with the amber but they stay in the background. Totally agree with the above reviewer that this is like pomegranate incense. It's a little different from the stuff I usually gravitate towards, so I will probably not upgrade this. But I'm going to hang on to this for a while to see if aging improves it.

This is likely the strongest patchouli scent I've tried to date. I can barely smell the black cherry. Like, it's there but it's so faint and powdery. You have to really love patchouli to like this. And while I am a fan of that note, I'm not enough of a fan to want it as basically a single note. I can try layering this with something else and see if I like it then. Because on its own, it's just really really strong and almost a bit too much.

The cacao is super strong when first applied, but it softens a lot within a couple of minutes so it's mostly lime and coconut on me. The coconut is really sweet, like the shavings you use in baking. Definitely pretty similar to suntan lotion when it's fading, really nice. Lime stays mostly in the background, I do wish I got a little bit more of it to appear. I haven't tried any of the other Box of Cacao Pods this year, but I'm glad I picked this one. It's lovely, however if you were really looking forward tot the cacao this might be a disappointment if your skin chemistry is like mine.

Unsure of the year of my decant. If I had to guess, 2007? Powdery, and sort of a soapy clean pomegranate. When I first applied it, there was a type of burnt note? Shocked me and I'm not sure why I got that but it luckily did not last long. I'd much rather have a different pomegranate oil, this doesn't seem very accurate to the fruit in my case. It's very artificial.

A snowy floral blueberry snow cone blend. A squeeze of lime and no blackberries on me. Beautiful, one of my favorite Snowballs for sure, but the fruit notes last no time at all. At the end, I'm left with a sugary frost note. Wish it had better performance on my skin, otherwise I'd get a bottle.

Started out pretty dark and vinegar like, but after a couple of hours I'm getting a very green scent. Rose for sure, but there's some other plants in this as well that I can't quite place. It gets powdery near the end. Not for me, but this was interesting to try.
