MUSHROOM MUSHROOM. Ok, so I was expecting mostly rose with a bit of the other notes, but the mushroom is suprisingly prominent. Very earthy and reminds me a bit of Etienne de Boray Oak (probably because that's the only other scent with a mushroom note I've tried). I do get the rose initially, but it fades into the background. There's a bit of sharp leather as well, and I'm still not really sure what ambrette seed smells like, but there is a sweet musky perfumey-ness happening. The art for this scent is so pretty and soft, but the actual scent is giving me bouquet mouldering in the graveyard vibes.

For some reason I didn't think I liked mint in perfumes, but I was very wrong. This is the first Lick It variant I've tried. This goes on as an AGGRESSIVE non-sweet peppermint, but that eventually mellows to a more friendly vanilla mint/candycane scent. I had heard a rumor that this had a bit of coconut in it, but I'm happy to report I'm not smelling any.

I love this. Aggressive peppermint similar to the one in F It, Might as Well Lick It accompanied by a bit of candy-sweet lemon. I don't really get marshmallow. eta: I do get a bit of the weirdness mentioned by other reviewers, but only well into wear and only if I stick my nose right where I originally applied.

Dominated by the cassia/cinnamon and sandalwood on me. The tobacco here must be a dry one rather than a heavy, syrupy one. I think the tea helps keep the scent kind of light. I like this on its own, but it's also good for layering.

2020 version: I mostly smell the skin musk with a bit of fir and herbs. Even though it is described as skin warmed by dance, the scent is very cool to me. I don't smell incense/smoke really at all. The straw may add a bit of sharpness, but I can't really pick it out.

Spice lovers, this one's for you. Skin musk is one of the few musks that generally work for me, and the honey in this one behaves - adding a hint of sweetness to help tie everything together without getting cloying or weird. After initial application the throw pretty much disappears so you have to get close to smell it. The initial blast of heat from the peppers settles down as well, and the scent is dominated by the cinnamon. It is very dry, verging on powdery, but in the way that actual spices have a dryness to them. Very spicy, a little sweet, I kind of wish my skin could just smell like this all the time.

The apple and mint combo up front is kind of weird. The mint wins out, though, and it is quite bracing. Overall, it settles into a general green scent, where I can't really pick out the notes. The coconut seems to be more frond than coconut meat or milk. I have a couple other fumes with neroli where it dominates, but it plays nicely in this scent.

Dark rose and syrupy tobacco with a faint hint of clove. The rose is more prominent when freshly applied, then the tobacco really takes over. I expected it to be a dry scent, but it's the opposite.

I haven't smelled Smut or Snake Oil independently, but having tried another Snake Oil variant, I know there's something about SO that smells kind of medicinal to me. This has that medicinal edge but also smells a bit like rootbeer. Contains my nemesis, aged patchouli, but if I hadn't seen the notes list, I wouldn't have guessed. I can't really pick out leather or cardamom either. This is probably the only Snake Oil I need, but I would be curious to try Smut on its own or in another variant.

Rum notes can smell syrupy and cloying on me, particularly in warmer weather, but there's something sort of lemony - not sure if it's the tea or the sugar or something unlisted - that helps with this one. I like this but it's definitely a cold weather only scent for me. Makes me want to drink a hot toddy.

BPAL's coffee scents tend to smell sweet and creamy to me, but this doesn't smell like the others I've tried. When I first got it, the coffee was weirdly perfumey smelling, but it's mellowed to smell more like actual coffee. The combination of cream and certain spices is reminding me of cereal. I can smell the cream, but the scent overall is less creamy/smooth to me than some other BPAL coffee scents, and it's not sweet at all. Smells like breakfast for grown-ups?

Although they've been aged different amounts, the aged patch in this smells similar to the one in Brood X to me, and they both smell sort of generically perfumey. I am clearly not a patchouli connoisseur. I'm on the fence with this one since the patch is pretty strong, but I love the dark plum and tobacco combination. This is also one that smells different in the waft (more fruit and tobacco) than it does up close (more patch).

They were not kidding when they named this "scorched" - it goes on super acrid. The first time I tried it I washed it off almost immediately. The second time I waited through the acrid phase, and I started to get a bit of the fancy hotel lounge vibe as described in the 15 Minutes of Fume vid. Having had some fresh cut rounds of oak around recently, I can say that oak can be a bit funky, and I get some of that here, as well. The scorched oak overwhelms the tobacco (though it tries to put up a fight). Unfortunately, I don't like how this smells dry enough to be willing to wait through the acrid phase.

My experience with this scent is most similar to doomsday's and biggnerd's above. The duet goes on super heady honeysuckle, but that tones down and gets balanced out by the lemon beebalm, which really smells like you just tore or crushed a leaf from the plant. The honeysuckle is the slightly stronger of the two throughout wear. Very pretty. Reminding me in the depths of winter that summer is coming around again.

Doesn't have much staying power or throw, but I enjoy it while it lasts. I think of blueberries as having a pretty subtle scent, but they are detectable, at least initially. The white tea is also not crazy sharp as it can often be on me. The lemon peel is somewhere between the almost candied-smelling lemon peel in the Himalayan White Tea, Lemon Peel, and Grass trio and the more natural/less sweet smelling lemon peel in the Green Tea & Lemon Peel duo.

Musks and I don't generally get along, but the one in Morocco is nice. The scent is warm, a little spicy, and a little sweet. I really like this one when I want to feel cozy. Good layered with Plunder for a bit more spice.

One of the big surprises since trying a mildly embarrassing number of scents in the last year+ was finding a) I like rose and b) I love a fruity rose. This is no exception. I get a bit more rose than pom, but the fruit helps amp the fresh, juicyness of the rose. Prime example of a simple scent done really well.

Starts off with lots of citrus and a little bit of spice from the clove and cedar. Sadly the white musk comes on really strong and pulls the scent into soapy/perfumey territory. I think the myrrh may have something to do with that as well? I really want to love this one, but the white musk is too much for me.

I so want to like the Lab's atmospheric aquatic, mossy scents, but they tend to smell like generic men's bath product on me. Unfortunately this one is no exception. The smoke is quite faint, I only smell it if I really stick my nose where I applied the scent.

Big super sweet LAVENDER, which I wasn't really expecting. Eventually the lavender takes a break and the other notes come out. I'm not familiar enough with tobacco flower or ambergris to really pick them out, but the oud is mercifully tame - no barnyard or 💩 here. I haven't tried some of the other scents this has been compared with like Zorya P, but if you like My Tiger or want a less gourmand TKO, you might like this.

I mostly smell the white tea and snow (I'm not sure what the snow note is, but maybe white musk and a tiny bit of eucalyptus?) with only the faintest whiff of the pine smoke. I think the lavender gets overhwelmed by the other notes. I agree it's a very pale scent. Worth trying if you really like white tea.

Starts as a light, fruity floral, bordering on powdery, but not quite, with a vague hint of lavender that fades quickly. The floral element really seems to be melded with the plum - like someone else said, more like plum blossom than fruit. The sandalwood incense becomes more prominent later and is a bit vanillic. It's lighter and more floral than I expected, but I think I'll hold onto my imp.
