Unfortunately I really didn’t like this. It’s like a very rich honey cake with a slight ripe floral to it, which unfortunately reminds me of clean bathrooms. Also just not really into the foodie aspect.

Very spring/summer-like in its aquatic lotus floral mixed with sweet creamy marshmallow. I’d say the marshmallow in this makes it a poofier scent than Cherry Blossom Vulva, for example. The lotus is slightly high pitced but settles nicely. Very baby blue.

2018’s version: Very incensey coconut. Definitely beachy, tropical and humid, but with a darker twist.

For 2021’s version - this is all boozy sugar on me. I’m not sure I really get the musks from this.

Very buttery bread with a slight anise tone to it. Might just be my skin chem bc this smells very similar to Loaf.

Quintessential BPAL type scent - very dark, complex and fruity.

Very smooth but bright honeyed skin musk. Definitely reminiscent of Like a Girl, but less rounded and more fruity, in a way. Lovely and well-blended.

Very incensey rose and jasmine, like a new age store. Unfortunately the rose in this goes very sour on me - it might be the cream. Otherwise, I’d say it’s the perfect spring/summer counterpart to Poinsettia Gown’s winter.

A sweetened creamy cherry blossom/tropical flowers scent. Sort of akin to Poinsettia Gown, Vaginal Tales, and Ava, just w different florals.

I really don’t know why I tried this - basically only for the vetiver. It’s a very rich, milky honey scent. Very foody, not for me.

In the bottle it’s glorious sweet strawberry with some hint of green earthiness behind it. Unfortunately, my skin hates fruity notes so the strawberry goes very artificial on my skin and the sage takes over in all its brazen astringent herbal glory.

Creamy clean white florals with an aquatic side. Reminds me of really nice shampoo. Not at all high-pitched.

Definitely dark and bitter, but in quite a fruity way. I don’t really remember the vetiver being that present (which is sad for me!)

The old/book note mainly is woody on me, so it’s quite a dry dark heavy wood scent overall.

Very dry golden wheat over some lovely gnarly dark vetiver. Sort of a difficult scent for me to wear bc it’s so severe in its dryness, but definitely evokes what it’s meant to. I don’t get any sweetness from this at all.

Mostly clean white florals to me. Definitely smooth, but I wouldn’t say it’s sweetened much by the vanilla.

Hey! Thanks for the suggestion - I like the creepy wet dirt idea but am concerned because the other notes seem quite fruity or straight up gross (blood)? What does it smell like in that regard?

@feyofthefellwood Thank you for the suggestions! Unfortunately I'm not big on garden or coconut but this did remind me to check the Lab's Etsy page more often. I have imps of Burial and Thanatopsis that I'm going to try, so hopefully I'll find my favourite dirt scent in those two!

I realise this thread is very old, but just trying my luck - anyone have any good dirt-feeling scents that contain vetiver? It's almost like vetiver reads as a damp dirt note to me so I think that's what I'm looking for! I've tried Deep in Earth and Zombi. Deep in Earth was a very spicy rose, very astringent above the dirt note. Zombi at first I loved because it felt like roses, salted caramel, and damp seaside dirt but then it started to give me a headache. Any help would be appreciated!

This somehow smells like the wet, humid, fertile storminess of the Thai seaside. Divine in form and effect.

Hello! For anyone who's ever smelled Bright Goddess of the Skies (a Sphere+Sundry collab), do you have any suggestions of perfumes (BPAL or otherwise) that smell the same? It's my all-time favourite perfume, and even though I love the magical effects as well, I'll be very sad once I run out of my single bottle to never smell it again. I can't place what it is about it that smells so perfect - I've tried some BPALS with honey/vanilla/rose/jasmine notes but it's not quite the same.

Also looking for a smell-alike for Beloved Dead! It's still available on S+S but I would prefer to have that wonderful humid smell without the magical effects sometimes haha
