Huh, I am usually a sweet-lavender-is-best kind of person, so I didn't expect to like this much after seeing the reviews. I do like it, though! It's clean without smelling like soap and the lavender is softer than I expected. It's slightly salty, and the rain note reminds me a little of the almost-grapefruit type note in Lightning. But it does also read as rain-like, somehow.

I love the fig/honey/olive leaf combo, it's very sweet and delicate. Reminds me a bit of Eden. Before the scent fully dries, I get a hint of almost-sour milk, but that goes away.

The spicy chili is prominent during the wet phase but burns off fairly quickly when it dries. The black vanilla note is gorgeous and blends well with the chewy caramel. This is sweeter than my normal fare but I think foodie lovers will appreciate this. 

Wet, this is an electric zing of sour grapefruit and it's kind of awesome even though it gives my nose some shock. My skin eats it pretty fast though; in a half hour, it was gone. 

I love the way this one opens, with powdery, sweet cocoa dust and bitter Darjeeling tea. But then I amp the incense and that's mostly all I can smell, though I still sense a touch of cocoa. It reminds me a bit of the incense backbone in Snake Oil, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but I think I'll have to save this one for days when I want to feel bold, because on me at least, the incense is strong!

This smells kind of like fruit punch to me at first, but it dries down into a pretty mouthwatering sugary scent. Would be fun to layer. I enjoy it and am glad I got to sample it, but I probably don't need to track down a whole bottle.

I'm really glad this ended up on my radar. It's one of those blends that illustrates that note combinations are probably more crucial to my enjoyment of a scent than the notes alone. Cherry blossoms can go soapy; white tea can be too citrusy for my tastes. But here, these notes combined just work. I think the wood and tea help keep the florals grounded, and the result is pretty magical. It smells, to me, like a steaming cup of white tea scented with fresh cherry blossoms. If there's such a thing as sakura tea (which there probably is), I need to try it. 

I was expecting a much more polarizing scent from this (and I've learned that I don't mind some dirty honey), but on my skin, fresh O is actually pretty tame. It's a mild, sweet honey/amber/vanilla, no surprises. I like it enough to keep my imp, but I have other honey scents more interesting to my nose. 

I'm getting sweet, realistic golden delicious apple. The underpinning of birch keeps it from being cloying and the apple blossoms give it some throw. Simple and lovely. I didn't expect to like this as much as Poisoned Apple, but it's on that level of apple goodness for me.

@mountainwitch I can't think of any BPAL library scents at the moment without leather, unfortunately (though I luckily love leather + paper smells). But Moonalisa's Alexandria, while somewhat hard to obtain because of her release timeframes, is a pretty good paper scent. (Notes: Soft, woody, mossy, floral, and about 13 other components, with hints of ambergris, dry old book pages and a touch of intoxicating sweet labdanum.) I find it similar to, but lighter than, Hexxenacht's Cetalox, which Ajevie has samples of on her decant website. (Notes: a post-modern synthetic ambergris perfumery component redolent of warm skin/paper/cedarwood/ozone/pepper with an ambroxan-like background -- and to *some* -- smells like nothing at all.)

Wet, this has a great machine oil note and general steampunk vibe. As it dries, though, the blue musk takes over on my skin and drowns out the other notes, leaving me with a vaguely sawdusty clean scent. Darn skin chemistry. 

This reminds me of Anne Bonny at first, and I really like it in the initial stage. Then it sweetens up to a more basic aquatic smell that, while still pleasant, is kind of like . . . pirate cologne? I could imagine a dashing, dapper pirate smelling like this, like Jack Sparrow but with good hygiene. So, probably not something I'm likely to wear, but maybe if I write a pirate character someday. 

I've been enjoying Unicorn, Rushing Against the Tree this spring. (Notes: Ethereal white orris, pale early lilacs, mallow flower, Queen of the Night, white moss, and dusk-lit mist.) The mossiness definitely makes me think woodland lilacs rather than garden lilacs, though, if that makes sense.

A very pretty close-to-the-skin scent that I find sensual without being bold. It loses its complexity on my skin as it dries and mostly smells like honeycrisp apple, but I don't mind. It's gentle and warm, almost glow-y from the honey and frankincense combo.

Resurrecting this thread because I've been really into honey/honeycomb/beeswax scents this spring. I was wondering if anyone knows of a good honey forward scent with frankincense. I have Les Bijoux and really like it, but something with more emphasis on the honey/frankincense would be amazing. 

Spicy green honey! It almost smells a little minty, but not quite. The honey is very sugary, which compliments the green notes nicely. It's sweet, but with an undercurrent of danger. I could see this one becoming addictive for me.

This perfume is quite interesting (and, being a weirdo who likes reading about poisonous mushrooms, I love the theme). I don't like the way it smells at first, kind of like sweet decay, but once on the skin, it changes to an earthy-yet-poisonous smell that's oddly pleasant. At this point, I don't think I'll wear it much, but it might be nice for days when I'm feeling especially prickly.

I never thought I'd get to try this one! All I can say is that this community is amazing when it comes to noticing people's ISO's, and I'm really thankful for that. 💕 As other reviewers have attested, this is a gorgeous blend. Whether from being well-blended or from aging, to me, The Girl is almost all vanilla musk. I'm not able to pick out many individual notes. It's *very* similar to Ava from the OLLA collection; at first, I thought they might be identical. However, when comparing them, I found Ava sweeter (which is funny, because I never thought of it as being that sweet before), while The Girl is cooler and more subtle. It's probably the most wispy, ethereal vanilla perfume I've tried so far (although vanilla isn't listed in the notes . . .). It has a silvery, glowing feel similar to Zorya P, but the vanilla in Zorya P is much more sugary than in The Girl or Ava, IMO. I think the birch here gives it that neutral, silvery tone. Overall, I'm definitely going to cherish this one and will hope for a resurrection someday.

Randomly got a decant of this, and wow, it's really pretty! I was expecting something more mineralic, but this is soft and sweetly elegant. As in Storge, the rosewater is very gentle in comparison to other rose notes (I wish it was a more common note). The oud is also very gentle and just adds a woody base to the scent without making it too strong or earthy. Crystalline and effervescent are good descriptors for Hypatia, and that star-musk thing is definitely something I'll have to be on the lookout for in other blends.

From the notes and theme, this seemed like a scent I'd like. After failing to find decants, I got impatient and blind bottled. And I am glad I did! 

If this scent had a color, it would be a pale golden-green. The honey musk is an absolutely gorgeous honey note, spun into something sheer and airy. At the same time, though, it's the most prominent note on me, in part I think due to the vanilla reinforcing its sweetness. The blackberry leaf lends a juicy but not overpowering blackberry note and the green tea balances the honey. Everything is very well blended. The scent lingers close to the skin, though I get delightful wafts of it from time to time. 

I would definitely recommend this to honey fans who also enjoy Elf, Fairy Market, Shanghai, and Bewitched. 

Lemony sugar with creamy honey and vanilla. Love it! There's a hint of Snake Oil but it's fairly dialed back; as others have noted, it will likely strengthen with age. This isn't super strong, but is more noticeable in my hair and has more longevity than I expected. 

The pink pepper gives this an almost fizzy element that makes me associate this with cherry cola. I really like it, but it doesn't last long on my skin. Maybe I should try it in my hair as well. Pink pepper is one of those notes I have a weakness for, and it's bright and fun paired with the cherry. 

I love leather as a note and like almond, but am learning I'm not super keen on the two together. (I also tried a leather-almond blend earlier this year from another house and it just wasn't my thing. I think the contrast with the leather makes the almond smell sweeter to me?). However, once the almond settles down the leather-vanilla-patchouli combo here is eyes-rolling-in-back-of-head good. Sort of dark and gritty but smoothed and elevated by the vanilla. I don't think I'll bottle this one, but I'm glad I got to try it!

Sometimes, I get enamored of a scent description and stubbornly track it down even if it's discontinued. I longed for Szespasszony for ages and finally stumbled upon an imp. It definitely does conjure up images of a storm rolling in with lots of wind. Scent wise, it reminds me of both Denna and Sixteen92 Supercell, although it's less sweet than Denna and less green than Supercell. It's more airy than both. Actually, the "pale petals" in the recent Luper, Green, also reminds me of the floral aspect in this. Anyway, this is a nice addition to my little rain-scent collection and I'm grateful to have gotten the chance to try it.
