    Lead Phoenix

Once applied, I get a nice whiff of cypress, and something herbal yet tobacco-y. If I huff it, I can sort of smell a sweet plum blossom note underneath the cypress, but I wouldn't know it unless I was told. I was purposefully seeking it out since it's one of my favorite notes. I do amp cypress like crazy though, but I don't mind because I happen to like cypress. As it dries down, the resins pop out just a little bit. Not too much, but enough to make it smokey and nice. I have a feeling that this will age into something beautiful. Overall, it's a lightly plummed cypress blend with just a touch of smokey resins. I like it a lot.

    La Fée Verte

Thank you to Madame Nyx for the decant! I am so very happy. I knew that I'd fall in love with this. It's not too absinthe-y (I don't smell Anise...phew!) but it sure is beautiful. Once applied, I get honey soaked herbs and a bit of smokey incense milling around. There's a slight bit of vanilla as others have noted as well. There's a minty edge to it (rather than the anise I take it?) but it isn't strong. It's just a slight touch of mint. I adore this and am probably going to try to get a larger bottle.

    Lawn Gnome

Oh my this has aged very well. When I first purchased my bottle, I had to cross my fingers and hope for the best. I remember it being too sharp and too sweet and too syrupy... now? oh my god it's BEAUTIFUL! The patchouli is starting to soften up, and kinda meld together with the molasses. The vanilla is adding a creamy touch, and the currant is just sweet enough to make it sing. I KNEW that this would age well!!! It's just so beautiful.

    Chaste Moon 2005

Oh wow this is just gorgeous! Once applied, I get a soft watery, slightly vanilla and cream type of scent. Like baby's breath. It's simple, yet elegant and delicate. The watery note that I smell must be the musk. It's not too watery at all. Not ozoney at least. It is just a simple musk giving the whole perfume an airy quality. Beautiful!! I am so happy to have received a decant of this!!

    Harvest Moon 2006

I am so jazzed to have a whole decant of this beauty all to myself!! Once applied, I get apples! Yummy juicy sweet and sugary apples. There's a touch of mummy floral and the creamy rice is there as well... making it...erm.. creamy!! I've noticed that pomegranate has a sort of bitter edge to it, and so it makes it easy to pick it out and say "why hallo there pom!" but that sugary tea is settling it down. This is absolutely delightful and I'd want to own a bottle of this. I'd wear it year round. It's just that kind of beautiful!

    Badger

I received a sniffy with a drop to test! I am so happy because I didn't purchase this, and I wouldn't have sought it out. However, I was wrong for giving Badger the cut direct. This is amazing!! It has that same sweetness and dirt note combination as found in Queen of Clubs!! How fantastic!! As it starts to dry down, cedar is popping its head out. It is however, being tempered by a sweet yet herbal note and resins. That must be the root and myrrh notes combined? Dunno, but it works!!! I think I'm going to have to locate a decant so I can wear this every now and again. It's a great companion to my Queen of Clubs!!!

    The Torture Queen

I'm happy to finally be able to test this out!! I'm very surprised at how much I like this!! Usually fresh and clean perfumes smell to headachey on me, but this is BEAUTIFUL! It's feminine and pretty with a perfect amount of juicy sweet tea and a touch of metal that seems to remind me more of a sweet grapfruity note I can totally see myself wearing this when I have to present myself in a more professional manner. It's beautiful!!!

    Crowley

Thank you to DangerInRed for the decant!! Ive been dying to try this one. Once applied, I can immediately smell the patchouli and red musk and leather. It starts to dry down really quick, and once it starts its drying process I start to smell a manly cologne (must be the lilac cologne and mahogany mixed together) The leather note isn't compromised during the drying process, making the earth notes a little extra meaty in a sense. The lemon note adds a little freshness to the overall combination of notes. It's a manly scent that can totally be worn by the ladies. I love it!

    Morocco

Well then... maybe it's about time I reviewed Morocco? I forgot how lovely this is. This is a hit for a reason. Soft musk with delicate and warm sandalwood.. savory spices and just a subtle touch of a spicy floral note mingle up and swirl together to make a gorgeous perfume that everybody can't help but to love. Pretty much... that is all I can say

    Malice

I received a nicely aged bottle of this beauty and slathered it on immediately. Once applied, I get a blast of beautiful and dark resins. The patchouli is warm, the myrrh making it just a bit smokey. There's also a nice floral note floating around. I'm not picking up too much of the clove, except for maybe a touch of spice here and there, but then as it dries down, the flowers fade just a little bit.. but not too much. They're gorgeous! The clove still hasn't shown up, but that's ok. This is a little reminiscent of Mama-Ji. I love it!

    Gamaliel

I had picked up a bottle of this at the DD Cobwebs event. Once applied... sweet dark resins warm my skin. Underneath the resins, there's a trace of coconut. It's not a juicy coconut. It doesn't make it fruity at all either. It makes me feel like it's just coconut milk making it smooth and sweet. I'm also picking up on a bit of pine. It's a dark pine note... just adding a bit of flair to the already sweet resinous blend. The whole thing is a touch on the dark side, but it isn't anything like Goblin (Or should I say that Goblin isn't anything like Gamaliel? ). The coconut is way different! I'm loving this one a lot.

    Liz

Once applied, some creamy leather appears. It was very nice actually. But once it dries down, the creaminess fades to a slightly vanilla laced flower bed blended with a bit of leather. It's nice, but I like things a little more complex. It's power with just a little bit of girly wiles thrown in there. It reminds the wearer that no matter how tough a girl is, underneath the rough edges a girl is always a girl. I love the concept, but the perfume is just a little too girly for me, even with the leather. Nice, but not to die for.

    Trinket

A big "thank you!" to CaudaPavonis for spreading the joy!! I love this! There's a sweetness that's not too tart, not to sour, but not too sweet. I don't think it's cherries as well, but it's red. Maybe cranberries? Dunno! All I know is that the top red berryish note is beautiful. Behind the red note, there's spices. Not cinnamon, maybe it's cassia? It's there though, and it's adding to that Yule flavored flair. There's also a smokeyness hiding in there... also maybe some fir? It's hidden behind the slightly spicy red berry note. I wish I knew the notes that were listed! This is a great beauty and I'd buy it if it were offered in a full bottle form! eta: YES! I now get a honey note as well!!! It's totally morphed now. It keeps changing too! One minute it's honey dust with spices, the next the spicy berry note dusted with honey. Oh god... I'm going to need more....

    Pumpkin Pie Bath Oil

First of all, I want to thank Arlith for being so kind as to spread some love and gift me with this glorious treat!! You are amazing! Now then, once I opened up the bottle, I get a HUGE yummy whiff of cinnamon and spices with just a touch of pumpkin. It isn't too foody at all!! I'm in the love... I put the precious directly on my skin to give a good solid skin test, and all I can say is hot damn this is some fantastic bath oil. It's spicy and sweet and warm. Complete win!

    Hod

This is an older decant that I scored from my friend. Once applied, I get blast of sultry warm and smooth florals. The warmth is very full underneath the flowers (as others have noted, it's probably carnations?) The base is very smooth, and almost powdery, but not quite. Overall it's a golden scent. It's also very feminine and reminiscent of fairies for some reason

    Lust

Uncontrollable passion and insatiable sexual desire: red musk, patchouli, ylang ylang and myrrh. I scored a beautifully aged bottle of this sexy beast! First of all, I red musk and patchouli blends and Lust can't be beat in this category. Usually myrrh and I are heated enemies, but because this is so old, the myrrh is smoky but the sickly sour smell that I associate with myrrh is completely absent. The ylang ylang adds a soft and sweet edge that blends straight into the red musk. This is by far one of my favorites. It's up there with Sin and Scheherazade.

    Baba Yaga

This is the older unreleased version. Once applied, I get a burst of sweet bubblegummy florals. Maybe lotus? While it's still slopping wet, it starts to morph immediately! Something incensy or perhaps herbal comes to the surface. As others have noted, it's reminiscent of mens cologne, but not in a nasty way at all. It's very clean and handsome. After that initial change from bubblegum to mens cologne, it doesn't really morph anymore. Overall it's an herbal, slightly floral, a touch watery with a bubblegummy start, and a green ending. I like it a lot

    Vasakasajja

Once applied, I get a mix of mellow vanilla like skin musk, with a touch of soft floral (not overly so). The throw is not intense, but when you huff it, it's beautiful and powerful. It's very sexy in a subtle way. A person would have to be up on you and sniffing at you to smell it, and even then the victim person sniffing you may think that what they are smelling is your natural aroma (slightly floral slightly sweet slightly vanilla laced skin musk) It's beautiful. As it dries down, the champaca is making itself known. champaca can be a hit or miss on me. Sometimes it can be too sweet. The champaca in this one matches the skin musk beautiful and they calm each other down. Just lovely!

    Queen of Clubs

When first applied, QoS gives me a sweet red fruity incense with a bit of clean damp earth underneath it. It's not a nasty dirt, it's clean and lovely really. Once it dries down, the pom and currant give away to lovely rose. The dirt note fades just a little bit into the background, but it's still there giving the perfume leverage. Dry now, it's beautiful. The rose isn't too "rosey" and the pom and currants sweeten up the smokey myrrh making one of the most beautiful incense blends out there! This one is an amazing treat and I love it. It makes me feel beautiful and exotic.

    The Rat King

First of all, Thank you Stellans for the decant! You are truly amazing! When I first applied The Rat King... I smelled dusty wood with a salty undertone. That must be the feral musk. The real magic happens as it starts to dry down though. Once it dries, holy cow all the notes seem to warm up a touch, even though there's still that musky dirty sharp undertone. It is manly, but something that I can still wear and enjoy! I love that dirt note mixed up with the musk. That dirt note reminds me of the dirt note found in Q.ueen of C.lubs. In comparison, they both have a great bright note, tossed in with a dirt note. Just amazing. I think that I'm in love!

    Agapē

Mmmmm delicious! Once applied, I get the thick meat of guava with the crispness of apple, and softened with a floral based vanilla. The floral note is perfectly balanced with cream, making it just amazing. As it dries down, more of the sweetpea comes through, but not too much. Just enough to add another layer of girly flowers to match the cream and fruity charm of the other layers. I'm not usually one to indulge in fruity flower scents, but this one is one that I wear often. It's beautiful and sweet but not too sweet and not too floral. Yet throughout the day, it maintains a certain panache that only the lab can create!

    Lovers in a Ricefield

What a beautiful scent! Once applied, a gorgeous creamy plum note immediately wafts up. It gives an impression of a delicate plum blossom floating down towards the ground, and landing on the top of a bowl of sweet vanilla cream. It also has a soft smokey background, making it a bit more sensual with it's down to earth appeal. Simply gorgeous, and it has aged with grace. I hope that time will strengthen it even more!

    Ded Moroz

Ded Moroz is just beautiful! once applied, It comes through as an ambery mint note sensation. The rose isn't too noticeable, which is sort of a blessing because I amp rose like whoa. There is a touch of a light and sweet herbal note. I can't get over how lovely that amber mint is though! It's brilliant! As it dries down, a little bit more of the sage pops through. Amber and sage create this lovely incense but with a cool edge. The mint isn't ozoney or watery, it's somewhat sweet. Overall, I love it. It's beautiful and I am happy to have scored a bottle.

    St. Lucia v8

Oooooooh this isn't too far off from eating a chocolate*, clove and cinnamon Necco wafer at once!! It's delicious. As soon as I sniffed this (while in line at the final cobwebs) I had to have it. It's cream and spice. It's not too foody (I am not a foody girl at all) As it dries down, more of the spice comes through, but I don't think that it's cinnamon. Cinnamon usually burns me, and it smells a bit sweeter. This spice is bright and red like cinnamon, but it's not hot and spicy. It's just spicy. Maybe it's cinnamon bark and some sort of bright mint underneath to really sharpen it up? Who knows! All I know is that this is beautiful and fantastic, especially during the cold months!!! Overall, my impression is that of eating a chocolate*, clove and cinnamon necco wafer all at once!! *Everybody knows that the chocolate necco wafer isn't really chocolate. It's just a chocolate flavored hard wafer with a sort of powdered minty taste.

    Obeah

A generous forumite gifted a decant of this lovelyness to me! Thank you so much!! Once applied, I get a mishmosh of scents, but first and foremost is PINE SAP and PATCHOULI! I freaaaking LOVE it! LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE! OMG LOVE! :love!: It reminds me a bit of Illustrated Woman (or rather I.W. is reminicent of Obeah being that Obeah came first.) It's sexy pine sappy incense. It has that touch of pine menthol that I associate with some pine tree scents that I love. It's gorgeous and I'd need to track down more of this!!
