    Astrology Recommendations

It is an interesting point. My sun sign is Taurus, but I dislike earthy/rosey scents so much I'm not too keen to try it. Libra (rising sign) was ok, but just that. I have moon in Sagittarius as well, so i'd be interested in how that works out for me.

    International order Q

Yes, what she said, for the Netherlands.

    The Star

To me this smells like lemon curd, creamy coconut and pineapple. In the most positive way imaginable. It is warm, creamy and yet so fresh and bright. *adding to my bottle wish list*
  4. I've tried them both as well, and I can smell mor espice and bay leaf than butter in Old Port-au-Prince. Hellcat is more buttery, more boozy and hazelnutty and not so spicey at all.

    Tombstone

I was actually intimidated to put this on. It smells so strong and powerful in the bottle, that I was afraid to put it on my skin... I finally gathered enough courage together to put a tiny bit on. And it's overpowering indeed. It smells very strongly of dark wood, teak I guess. after a while I get a waft of licorice as well. It is very dry. I still feel a bit intimidated by it, even though I htink I like it. As if a long-haired, long-bearded, leather-clothed, veeeery big, muscular, tattooed (a bit like dakeyras, Alice Aforethought's man ) is giving you a big bear hug. After 30 minutes: Not nearly as intimidating as first, kinda nice, actually. Smells like dryness and faintly of licorice. ETA: after an hour of vigourous excercise (which makes a scent morph ultra-fast) there's nothing left but dessert-like sweet vanilla This one really has a gentle core, after all.

    Lettuce

At first this is sour... but that fades after 15 minutes or so and it becomes really fresh and green on my skin. After half an hour or so it's..... gone. Mm, that was fast. In a burner the pickled scent fades after 15 minutes as well, and the fresh green plant scent lingers around for much longer. Makes the room smell like garden.

The search for "Clean" scents - general discussion

I can't find Ingenue on the website.. I thought it was discontinued? DISCLAIMER: before anybody panics about Ingenue being discontinued, I don't know if it is. I can't find it on the website, and am merely speculating whether it might be discontinued. Thank you.

Hi Nella! It's great to have you around - hope you have a great time working at the lab!

    Ambergris

Mmmmm, yes, this is precisely the warm, gently, enveloping smell that I love in Black Forest and Masquerade. Unfortunately I don't know what musk smells like (apart from Body Shop's white musk) so I can't really compare. I can imagine that it has a similar feeling. I love it, I personally don't find it masculine. It is a sexy scent, but not overwhelmingly so. One to wear a lot more often.

    Belladonna

In the bottle: sharp, sour, biting. I wasn't sure whether I wanted to put this on... On the skin: It changes, that's good, but it changes into a generic BPAL smell (like -I think- Blackrayne described in a review- the scent your BPAL drawer). But wait, I can also smell a hint of earth... There is something very Omen- or Zombi-esque going on. I'll have to wait and try again, as I took a shower and can't smell it anymore. Edit: Yes, definately something earthy looming there. Not my thing -swapped it away.

Since I seem to need to reiterate it...

I agree that anything that makes life easier for the lab is a good thing... But I am totally for the ties. I love them, and while I do think what's inside is most important, I wouldn't like to see them go.

Yes, what they all said. We really prefer you guys keeping your sanity, health and lives than getting our perfumes here within two weeks.

How long do bottles & imps last?

If only used as perfume, an imp lasts me about two to six weeks, depending on which one (snake oil really requires only a drop, Envy can be slathered on a bit more freely).

Its odd that I need to post this...

It ain't over till the fat lady sings It's good to see you back BTW.

Site update in progress. Good & bad news.

for all of you. Price increase, heck we'll have to live with that. We do want you guys to eat every once in a while And the update looks very promising! (o who am I kidding -it looks absolutely fabulous!)

    UK customers! Hi. =)

I'm no a UK-er but if I imagined a shop way down south selling BPAL... then I would still like to have the possibility to order from you guys, for your amazing customer service and the fact that you choose the samples for you customers very well and thoughtfully. But if I knew what oil I wanted, or wanted to have a quick, say, snake-oil fix, than the imaginary Holland-based shop would definately come in handy. I think most here are pretty hardcore and would continue to order some of their orders from the US. So it probably would be a good way of attracting new customers?

    Hellcat

My skin seems to reflect almond and slurp up the other scents, so I decided to give this one a go in the oil burner. O my God. The room fills itself with this heady, edible, decadent scent, and it makes me want to lick the walls because surely they must be covered in something that smells like this. Decadent and erotic. Ususally scents that I don't like end up in the burner (as they'll run out quicker that way ) but this one is such a winner like that.

    Oneiroi

I wanted to like this too. It started ou with a white, floral lavender, and as it developed the green herb smells came out a bit more. However, as I was wearing it, my boyfriend complained of me smelling like "the toilet air freshener my granny always used" and refused to touch me. So that's the memory now attached to Oneiroi for me. One to wear when the boyfriend is not around, I guess. ETA: scent likes and dislikes seem to change after a few wears, right? I can safely say I dislike this one. The fresheness of the lavender is less and les apparant, and it becomes a total flower-fest. And that is *sigh* not my kinda thing.

    Hurricane

I know my nose is weird, but when I first opened this up I thought it smelled of gherkins. That sourness is still there, but it isn't so overwhelmingly gherkin-y anymore. Now that it's dry, it smells very sharp and waterlike. It evokes the feeling of painfully cold horizontal rain for me. ETA: Using it for the second time, and it's not gherkins that i smell, but cucumber. Not that it's a big difference, but I thought I'd let you know anyway.

Getting sick of orders showing up as delivered...

They leave parcels at your doorstep? Sheez, I used to work for our dutch version of Royal Mail and I could've gotten sacked for that. Seriously. Knowing this, I am all for insuring and signing for orders. Just to make sure they actually get across the pond.
  21. Tesseljoan

    Ok, feeling human again.

Yay for health pretty much returning to normal. Maybe everything else will turn to normal as well.... *crosses as many fingers as possible*

    Imp

Very peachy when wet, and it stays to be a top note. The deeper undercurrent id there, but on my skin, it never comes into the foreground. The smell of peaches always makes me smile for some reason.

    Snow White

What I could do is fill this review with orgasmic groans... but that wouldn't be useful, would it. This is the best fresh blend I've ever encountered, because of its complexity, 'different-ness', its staying power and the perfect capturing of a concept in a bottle. It smells like a cold breeze over frozen almonds and fruit. Fresh, interesting, amazing.

    #20 Love Oil

Heheh, glad you like it, as it wasn't for me. I don't know if it actually *has* rose in it, but everytime I even think I smell rose, I can't enjoy it any more

    Three Witches

On me, the clove note was the the most dominant, tied with the cinnamon. Hardly any pepper in sight. I love the smell of cloves. It evokes the feeling of a hot whiskey to me, very comforting.
