    The Sea of Ice

Wet: Aquatic, almost soapy. Dry: Slightly soapy. Like a soap with ”winter landscape” as scent, a clean kind of scent. Or soap on stone. A soapy stone and its cold outside. With wear the soapyness softens and fades. Left is still a very clean… stone. But its (just a tiny bit) earthier. As its been smudged with some dirt. Theres also ozone now, fresh dry air. The sea of ice fades fast, as its already going faint at 2 hours. During its last stage of wear its a pretty stone/ozone scent. Not exactly ice, but cold ozone and dry air. And large blocks of gray stone in an enviroment naked from grass and trees. Dominant notes: Soap (snow!), stone, ozone Type: Atmosphere/ozone Lasting: 2 hours

The Forest in Winter at Sunset

Wet: Dusty, sweet amber (almost honeylike sweet). Moss. Dry: Mosses and sweet amber. Its less sweet than while wet, as the sourness from moss and oak has grown. The sweet amber fades a bit and the dustiness has gone. Forest in the winter at sunset goes form a very sweet scent as wet to a foresty scent with bits of fruity sweet bpal-amber. Through the hours of wear, forest in the winter at sunset continues as a sweet woodsy scent. To me, its more a kind of deciduous forest with autumn leaves and moss, rather than a dark green forest as it lacks evergreens such as fir and pines. Ends a s a amber sweet and autumn leafy scent. Dominant notes: Moss, amber Type: Woodsy Lasting: 4 hours

    Tyrannophobia

Wet: Raspberries! Strong scent of raspberries: not fresh but rather dry ones. Dry: Still raspberries. Like a bunch of freeze dried raspberries in granola or… tea. And something else dried. Probably the tea. In the background a hint of a sour-metallic note, which grows when the raspberry fades later on and goes almost silvery. An hour in its still a heap of freeze dried raspberries, maybe in the bottom of a cup of raspberry tea. Its not as metallic as it was earlier, instead its a raspberry scent with a hint of tea. Ends as perfumey tea, a stronger metal note with the raspberry being very weak post the third hour. Tyrannophobia is to me a fruity scent, and it really does reminds me of raspberry tea. Its not fruity in a fresh fruity way, but rather the scent of dried berry pieces added for flavor in various foody things. At times, it even reminds me of the scent of the raspberry flavoring in raspberry soda... in a can. The tea note adds to the dried berry-feeling and the metal note can be found if one is searching for it. It works well, even though I think it would be even more interesting if the raspberry wasnt this strong. Dominant notes: Raspberry! Type: Gourmand-y/fruity Lasting: 3.5h

    In the Wild North

Wet: Soapy, fake evergreen. Probably the snow note and fir, pine. Cold on skin! Dry: Just dried, it got quite some strength and I get a cloud of something that reminds me of those Wunderbaum smell felt trees: sharp, fake soapy (which again, I think is the snow note not working well with my skin) and greens. The spruce, fir and pine being in the background of the soapy snow. Dominant notes: Spruce, snow (which goes soapy on me!) Lasting: 3 hours

Winter (de Tuin Van de Vicaris Onder Sneeuw)

Wet: Sharp, dark green evergreens. Dark forest pines and herbals. Something woody and balsamy. And cut grass. Dry: Just dried its dark evergreens: fir and some cypress with looming juniper (without the common sweetness from BPALs juniper notes). Theres also something that softens the scent, which appeared now that the oil has dried. Balsam, perhaps. And benzoin. Blended within the scent is also something… grassy or leafy, but not as strong as during its wet stage. It got, not surprisingly considering its name, a cold air. At one hor Ends as dark evergreens, moss and smoothness from the balsam Dominant notes: Cypress, fir balsam, black juniper Lasting: 4.5 hours

    Desert Places

Wet: White tea leaves (quite fresh) with a floral edge. Dry: During the initial dry phase its very much like its wet: the fresh white leaves are dominating, with back up from something floral. There is something that gives Desert places a dry feeling: not dry as in dry wood, but rather dry… air. As when the air is cold and dry, but without any cold mint or snow. At two hours in, Desert places is still going strong. Its fresh white tea leaves, but slightly colder and drier. As if the air got colder. Its sweeter, and just a bit less floral, than the initial dry phase but not a bright vanilla. At the end, Desert place fades as a fresh green scent. Which reminds me of the fresh, crisp scent of cucumber. The most interesting quality of Desert places is the feeling/scent of cold air without actually being cold, minty, snowy or including ozone as a note. Dominant notes: White tea leaves. Yes. Type: Green/floral Lasting: 4.5h

    Kumiho

Wet: Very crisp, fresh almost green scent! Ginger. Bordering on floral. Dry: Crisp, almost cold floral like scent with ginger. It might be the white tea thats bordering on floral. A very fresh scent and the crispness reminds me of snow(!). Theres hint of something sweet, as if there was a tiny drop of honey or fruit. Over an hours wear, the crispness and ginger in Kumiho softens and theres a floral sweetness. Its more like floral white tea now, with a slice of ginger in the cup. To me, it feels like a scent that would work very well during spring with its blossoms. White rabbit ends as a ginger white tea with bits of floral in it, which gives it a clean soapy mood. Its a pretty and fresh scent, leaning towards clean. Its also a scent that keeps very near skin because of its soft notes. It feels like a cousin scent (rather than sister scent) to White rabbit, and with them both having tea and ginger it isnt that odd. Dominant notes: Crisp scent, floral tea, ginger Type: Fresh, clean Lasting: 3 hours

    White Rabbit

Wet: Ginger, dry tea, honey. Crisp dry scent. Dry: Ginger and tea leaf. Soapy: I guess this is the clean note? I dont seem to get very much of the vanilla, nor the milk. Instead its tea, ginger and a clean note (which in some way also reminds me of cucumber). After the first half an hour as soapy, White rabbit goes into a clean dry leaves-scent with ginger. At this stage, White rabbit borders on being a clean green scent Ends as a clean smelling honey. Or soap with soft honey. On me, White rabbit is a very shy scent. When concentrating while sniffing I do get some nice tea and ginger notes, but most of the time they blend together into a generic soaplike scent. I do like the idea of White rabbit and had high hopes from reading the note description, but we were not meant to be. Makes me think of: Soap Dominant notes: Clean note, ginger, bits of leaves and honey in the end Type: Clean, fresh Lasting: 3 hours

    Mouse's Long and Sad Tale

Wet: A soft, soft vanilla with amber. Very sugary! A sharp floral edge in the background. Dry: Soft, bouncy and sugary vanilla. Almost like icing sugar and vanilla. The amber gives it almost an caramel edge. The sweet pea blends in with, and is overpowered by, the vanilla but there is something that isnt quite just the vanilla or amber by itself and adds a bright sweet note (as there isnt enough already!). At half an hour the sweet pea grows sligtly which gives Mouse’s… more of a floral turn. Still very, very sweet. When compared to other BPAL scents that are heavy on the vanilla and sweet side, such as Dorian, its easier to pick out the sweet pea in Mouse’s…, as the sweet pea adds some floral air to it, preventing it from going all to cloy and flat. It also adds a little bit of purple/violet into it, if it makes sense to match colors and scents. Ends as a soft sweet pea scent. Dominant notes: Vanilla, sweet pea Type: Sweet: Vanilla floral Lasting: 4 hours

    Dragon's Blood

Wet: Sweet, some spices. Very… red. Resin and flowers (lilac)? Dry: Lilac. What. Very surprised: dragon’s blood is lilac. A bit deeper than the lilacs Im used to and hint of a darker spice. But very much a pale purple lilac. Dragon’s blood changes between lilac, spicy lilac and sometimes resin mixed with lilac. Still very much lilac. Ends as spiced, warm lilac during the third hour. The red notes from its wet stage did not show up later on. Dominant notes: Lilac. Type: floral(!) Lasting: 3.5 hours… of lilac

    Mariposita

Wet: Sweet fruits, almost like hard fruit candies Dry: Dries into a mix between bubblegum and hard fruit candies: not as obviously bubblegum as jailbait. Two hours in its still very strong, stronger than other BPAL I have tried. And cloyingly sweet. Artificial fruit flavoring for candies, sticky sweet and bubblegum like. Three hours in Mariposita is still very much a candy scent and the bubblegum part has grown. Its not so intense as it was a few hours ago. Makes me think of pink, chewy candies. After six hours the bubblegum fades and bright, artificial fruit flavour takes the lead, not too unlike Sixteen92s Snow cone. Dominant notes: Artificial fruit flavouring, bubble gum. Type: gourmand, bright sweet! Makes me think of: Sticky, fruitflavoured candies. Lasting: 7 hours, atleast!

    Wanton

Wet: Sour fruit juice, rose. Dry: As newly dried: dry, almost savory flowers and sandalwood. After an hour its floral and sandalwood. A few hours later, woodsy and dry florals, stronger than two hours ago. A rather tame scent, in the sense that’s its not a wicked or odd scent. Instead something I think would fly as a mainstream scent, just darker than most florals because of the sandalwood. At five hours very skin near. Sweet wood and florals. Compared to other BPALs Wanton did not change is scent or dominant notes as much. Ends with sandalwood and dry roses. Dominant notes: Sandalwood, rose, patchouli. Lasting: 5 hours

    Sweet Lavinia's Dread Puddings

Wet: Sweet, slightly spicy and dry, caramel and brown sugar Dry: A dry sweet caramel/brown sugar scent. The spces adds to its dryness. An hour it morphs into a spicy caramel blend, the spices still making it a dry scent but also smoother as if the spices and the caramel would be a part of a dish rather than the isolated caramel in its earlier phase. The brown sugar/caramel is very near the pie crust-part of Arcanas Strawberries crave pie. Makes me think of: Brown sugar, caramel Type: Obviously gourmand Lasting: 4.5 hours

    Tweedledee

Wet: Sweet, fresh orange and citrus! Dry: Citrus and orange being the dominant note with the pepper adding a sharpness at the end. As wet it was very promising: it felt like realistic orange fruits but turns into something inbetween Nice Citrus and the curse of All Citrus Morphs Into Chemical Smellz. It hovers between a nice, soft citrus and sharp upleasant chemical. This is something I usually have problems with for perfumes with citrus notes The last hours Tweedledee reminds me of a orange soda, its sweeter than before and has hints of orange. Dominant notes: Citrus notes. Type: Fruity, fresh Lasting: 5 hours

    Aglaea

Wet: Sweet peach in syrup. Dry: Sweet peach, now more of a fresh peach rather than peach in syrup. Its a rather bright peach scent, light and fruity. After about three hours the peach takes a backseat and the amber becomes more noticeable. Its still sweet, but not as fruity. Aglaea is, when the peach is dominating, very much a realistic fruit scent. While wet its peach in syrup, as dry more of a fresh peach. The musk helps soften it a bit but it keeps as a very bright scent. Type: fruity! Lasting: 4.5 hours
