Terrible Moon: Steamed Milk and Marzipan

Okay I love this. I agree it is very reminiscent of Snowcake with a strong evaporated milk note. A lot milk notes are a light and sweet creaminess to my nose, but this one has some heft to it, a bit buttery. I find it very pleasant! ETA: my wife hates this on me
  2. Gorgeous vanilla-almond buttercream (this smells like when I add the tiniest bit of almond extract to vanilla buttercream for just a little pizzazz) with a delicious nutty haze of pistachio. On my skin the pistachio note is stronger. Delectable.

Old Books and a Flat White

This one is very booky, very much a secondhand bookshop than the scent of fresh paperbacks. Getting quite a bit of leather in the imp and nervous it might be the kind that goes screechy on me. Roasty coffee envelopes it all. On my skin it is more coffee forward, the leather behaves thankfully. I get a bit of papery-ness and creaminess underneath.

    Orgasmic Moment Atmosphere Spray

This is like if you took Idle Moon: Coconut Milk and Rice and added a mango note. The coconut milk is creamy and realistic, not very sweet. The rice is starchy-hazy. A bit sweet from the honey but not overly so. The mango is realistic but not super juicy, nectar-dribbling down your chin. It hangs around the sides of the creamy notes, lifting them slightly and adding brightness. It makes for a more layered and complex scent which is what I prefer in a home scent. Mango sticky rice but somehow not super foodie.

    On Pleasure

Very light, sweet and fruity red musk with a jammy rose. The berries and red musk are very sweet but not cloying. It makes me think of a picnic with jars of gingham covered jam jars. Sweeter and fruitier than I like my rose scents in general but very pretty and fun.

    Christmas Lustre

Nutty, warm, spicy and a just a touch sweet. Deep brown nutty sweetness, the caramel stays pretty understated on me. The spices are low and rumbly as well. It is so cozy and so nostalgic. This smells like The Perfect Christmas if there ever could be such a thing.

Sich Aufstützender Weiblicher Akt Mit Langem Haar

I think something about the iris and mimosa is giving the clean vibe, it leans maybe a touch soapy wet (personally not a problem, I love a laundry scent) but dries to more of a spicy-breezy floral with vanillic, balsamic notes from the tonka, vanilla, and amber. Cardamom tends to be a show-stealer but melds in very well here. As it dries I get a touch more resin-y sweetness. It's a very neutral/natural scent, like clean skin.

Beaver Moon: Yuzu & Warm Honey Drizzle

Crisp, mouthwatering yuzu and a light, floral honey. Sparkling, breezy. So, so pretty.

    The Woodland So Wild

Dreamy is the perfect word for this. From the get go it is dusky pink and pillowy. Soft, not super sweet, and airy. I struggle to pull apart the notes at first, as it dries certain elements such as the carnation or cedar become a bit more distinct but they all meld together beautifully. Dry it tends to more dry and spicy then the sweet peony it opens with, but retains that blurry dreamy quality.

    On Beauty

Initially I get mostly saffron and a touch of smokiness. It's lightly fruity but in a dry way, and there's something reminiscent of soft leather. This never gets very floral on me, they are tamped down by sandalwood, saffron, and vanilla. It has big throw but not overwhelming and heavy. It dries down to a lovely spicy dry vanilla with a hint of tobacco flower one me.

Beaver Moon: Lime Blossom & Amber Sugar

In the imp, crisp pithy lime with a coating of sugar and a blossom-y headiness. On my skin it is like candied lime peel, zesty with a bitter edge. The amber really rounds it out. Gorgeous!

Lines Written by a Bear of Very Little Brain

In the imp creamy rice and a hint of cardamom. Cozy rice pudding. On my skin I get the honey, and a bit of a Snow White-type snow but it isn't the main event. I find this to be very rice-forward. Musky, creamy, slightly starchy-powdery, with a halo of sweetness and spice.

    Bulgarian Rose and Coffee Beans

Oh maaan. I get more rose on my skin initially, a big gorgeous heady bloom. Different than the rose of Peacock Queen, sweet and slightly fruity without being an overly sweet, jammy rose. As it dries I get a beautiful toasty coffee note supporting the rose. They dry to a beautiful harmony.

Terrible Moon: Cardamom and Black Amber

In in the imp I get a soft amber with a almost mentholated cardamom. My skin turns this to a generic men's shower gel unfortunately.

Beaver Moon: Green Tea & Cookie Dough

Slighty buttery cookie dough with a gorgeous jasmine tea. Slightly vegetal and not citrusy like some green tea notes can be. Fresh but cozy. A beautiful gourmand-ish.

    Edward Bear

Such a soft, sweet comforting scent. Toasty bread (there is something oaty too), sweetened and bit by the honey and amber and a bit creamy. Just a hint of soft, clean (but not overwhelmingly laundry-y) cotton underneath.

If Bears Were Bees, If Bees Were Bears

In the imp, the sweetest honey I've ever encountered with a hint of fizz. Wet it turns to gummy bears. Eventually settles into a very sweet marmalade. You'd think I'm getting my bears confused but I think my skin does something wonky to this one.

    Cosmic Criquet

Sweet florals and ozone-y rain in the imp. Enchanting. On my skin it's mistier, more humid with a light fruity element I can't quite place. Nothing leaps out in particular, it's very atmospheric. A strange, beautiful tropical scene.

    Terrible Moon

Tremendously comforting indeed! Creamy, beeswax-y wool. Ever-so-slightly clean, with lots of warmth from the beeswax and amber. As it dries I get hints of cacao and cardamom but it doesn't push it gourmand. A hug of a scent, beautiful!

    Lucky Hand Root

Really earthy patchouli, a somewhat chilly dirt note, and lovely humid orchid. My skin does something weird with a lot of dirt accords, and this one turns straight up pine/fir on me wet. Eventually some of that earthy patchouli comes back and just a hint of orchid, but my skin turns this to a forest scent, albeit a pleasant one!

    Retch

Chocolatey boozy oudh. The chocolate and oudh is very pleasant on me, but the booze turns to a sickly sweet cherry cough syrup on my skin unfortunately.
  22. Lots of neroli on my skin initially with a gorgeous airy vanilla following. As it dries I get a touch of herbal green I attribute to the olive leaf and a bit of carnation. With the vanilla and carnations it feels like a cousin to Morocco, the neroli adding an elegant edge.

    Jacob's Ladder

Gorgeous soft golden resins. Amber is the most prominent to my nose. It's rich, but delicate somehow. There's a glittering citrus-lile facet. Very pretty!

    On Religion

Initially I get a deep ambery beeswax, lightly sweet and golden. I'd swear there was a bit of vanilla as well. As it settles on my skin I get soft touches of cedar, hay, and frankincense. It's golden, slightly woody (the cedar is very gentle and restrained), resiny sweet. Beautiful.

    On Prayer

Beautiful incense, soft and sheer. But the lotus turns super to sweet bubblegum me and doesn't settle down.
