An incredibly rich, warm blend. Resinous, musky, perfectly spiced, and sweetened beautifully by the lotus. At first the cherry-like almond came on a little strong, but it quickly calmed down. I feel like I'll definitely need this for summer.

In the imp: all gritty patchouli and orange. Wet: the orange gets much more intense and smoky vetiver comes rolling out, patchouli is still tumbling around in the mix. Dry: Still mostly juicy blood orange but just a touch more restrained than wet stage, with a heart of gritty patchouli and smoky vetiver. I get a little bit of rich ylang ylang over the top. The throw on this is great. It's definitely on the creepy side, but it's not for me.

In the imp: a flurry of rose and carnation mingling with honey On wet: bergamot forward, with milk and honey coming next. Smells a little like a tea cookie at this point Dry: Similar to wet but softer, with rose and carnation. So soft and pretty. Youthful and girlish, but never too precious.

In the bottle and on wet this is all cherry-like almond. As it dries down the almond fades and it's mostly rich leather and patchouli. Dry it's a strong heart of leather and patchouli with amber sweetening things, and a rich woodiness from the oudh.

Oh my this is fantastic! I have always loved the smell of laundry and clean scents but in perfume I often find them too artificial or soapy. This however is glorious. It is a perfect fresh, clean linen. It is well balanced, not too floral or aquatic. I can detect linen, plumeria, and just a little bit of grass and citrus. Crisp, yet tropical. Most likely going to upgrade to a bottle!

Amber, cedar, and patchouli all the way through. Golden, truly. Not a bad scent, but not sure if it's a keeper for me.

Okay didn't think I was going to like this all that much but, surprise! In the vial it's very powdery, candy-like violet. Don't like that so much. But on my skin the sandalwood comes out to help ground the scent and it's still sweet and violet-y but not so heavy and perfumey. The violet leaf adds a nice little aquatic edge. The scent reads silver to me.

In the bottle: sweet and slightly sharp. Something lightly camphorous and pine-y. On wet: This is a very bold sandalwood. It has a slightly bitter undercurrent but is still sweet. Still retaining that sharp pine edge. Dry: Velvety and warm (though not as warm as other sandalwoods I've tried). Not super sweet or dainty, and it's quite complex on its own. Spicy and very complimentary to skin.

This oil is so dark! In the bottle: super dark, dry cocoa. Incredibly rich and bittersweet. On wet: The cocoa is still strong, faintly sweetened by SO. Also distinctly getting creamy rice milk. Dry: Cocoa is softer, with a little bit of spicy-sweet SO. Rice milk is also present. The teakwood gives this a smooth, polished vibe (slithering?). I'm thinking with a little time the SO will get stronger but it is a beautiful scent as is.

At first it was just thick, sweet amber. Very warm and sensual. Then the apple blossoms comes out and adds a really beautiful floral sweetness. The carnation blends really well and I just get a whisper of it. I agree there is an edge of something camphor-like, and I assume it's myrtle. For me it's barely there and just adds a little intrigue. Overall this is very feminine but not in a over-the-top floral way. It's subtle and sensual.

This is the perfect place of sweet and spicy. Honey, cinnamon, and resin. Fiery and feminine.

This is deep, dark, jungle-y feeling scent, but it's never heavy. The incense, patchouli, and vetiver form a nice smoky, gritty base. Deep green moss, jasmine, spicy carnation, and neroli bring a lush and humid vibe and bergamot brightens up the bunch. It's a complex, mysterious scent.

A sophisticated, earthy, phenolic scent. Smoky tobacco and tea form a nice dry, slightly sharp base with a light muskiness. There is a spicy-sweetness from the frankincense. And I just get a little bit of lilac, it's adding a nice waxy lightness to the blend.

Oh my goodness, after trying Ask the Nearest Hippie I realized my love of earthy scents and I had a good feeling about this scent so I went for it. In the bottle it was dry, quality tobacco. This is seriously such a thick oil, it's so gorgeous. Wet and dry are similar on me. It's sweet (I have no experience with French Tobacco SN so I cannot compare) and smoky and so very smooth. There's something very vanilla-like, I agree with Andyl on the chewy benzoin aspect. Overall I am very happy, it's a warm, rich, and subtly sexy scent.

This didn't go cologne-y on me. It was a nice sweet, musky tea in the best way. Warm, sweet, and soft yet rich. Beautiful staying power, it wafts up gently throughout the day.

The clove in this blend definitely dominates on me. I get mostly dark chocolate, with spicy clove and black pepper. The pink pepper is giving it a nice rosy floral vibe underneath everything. The clove makes me think of Christmas so I have the inclination to wear this as a Yule scent more, but it's absolutely beautiful.

Oh this is so bright and fun! In the imp: mostly pink pepper, rosy and wonderful. On wet: buoyant, fresh, and green. Bright rosy pink pepper. The osmanthus is sweet and almost apricot like. Definitely getting a whiff of sweet vanilla action as well. Dry: much the same wet, but with a powdery-sweet base of sandalwood. This is so fresh and perfect for spring, and perfect to lift spirits on wet days cold days in the transition from winter!

Initially this was very perfumey and confusing (though lovely). It was all just rich warm brown scents mingling and it was hard to nail anything down. Dry it's smooth, dry teakwood at the base with sharply sweet leather (I agree with radiantfracture's assessment of astringent-sweet). I get some warm rich coffee, as well as flashes of bittersweet cacao. It's definitely not foody though. This makes me think of the old coffeehouses where intellectuals used to meet. It's relaxed and sophisticated. This (in my mind) is in the same category as Dee, but much more romantic.

Initially I do get the wintergreen scent but that fades away quickly. I'm left with a creamy vanilla, with beautiful bittersweet saffron. It's earth and a little spicy. I definitely see the comparisons to rootbeer. I really like this, but I love Grooming Scene in a Brothel even more.

This is dark, smoky, and herbal. The patchouli is pretty strong up until the dry down, and then it mingles with the myrrh for a smooth incense-y base. The oakmoss and juniper stand strong over the top. This reads on the more masculine side to me. It's smoky, but the juniper makes it feel clean at the same time.

This potentially an all-time fave. Definitely an all-star. Fresh on it's all patchouli, and it leans spicy and is very woody. But then the patchouli becomes velvety-smooth, with some lightly sweet vanilla, and it's pleasantly kush-y. It's warm, a little smoky, and very sexy. I agree with a previous reviewer that this is a bookworm stoner. I cannot fully express the intense love I feel for this scent.

For me this was initially a little too sweet. I got none of the pink pepper at first and it was all cotton candy, orange, and vanilla cream. But it softened up into a delightful peppery cotton candy with just a touch of creaminess. Very whimsical and would be fun to wear to a carnival.

Oh this is much more lovely than I imagined. This was generously frimped to me in a swap, before I never gave it a second look. I am not into herbal scents and rosemary and lavender seemed like they would be the dominant forces in this blend. I thought it was going to be very similar to Arcana. In the imp this was all rosemary and lavender, very dry and herbal. But on wet the blackberry came out and sweetened it. As it dries there is a nice cool base of rosemary and white musk. The blackberry is the star but it's soft and lightly sweet, and there is a little bergamot floating around for brightness. I totally agree with Teamama, this smells exactly like warm summertime afternoons in the PNW. This blend is absolutely delightful.

This is herbal incense with bright lemon. The rosemary, frankincense, and lemon verbena are most prominent on me. This is a very natural scent to me, perfect for the hippie types who don't like patchouli (-gasp- could there be such a thing?)

In the imp: Sharp leather and sandalwood, almost overwhelming. Wet: The leather is very prominent and sharp over the sandalwood. Here it's reading very masculine to me. Dry: The leather softens, a very smooth and light leather. Softer than Dee. The sandalwood is dry, powdery, and lightly sweet. Overall: A very comforting blend, this is reminiscent of white musk. Warm and alive, but clean.
